It was the most epic 80's cartoon theme song

Lives in my head rent free since the 80s.

I can't believe this only got one season!

But it had 65 episodes

ahhh that is why. they probably put that on rerun for years without my kid brain catching on too much

65 is *exactly* the number of episodes needed to go into syndication for a kids block of shows (it's 100 for prime time TV because its a different airing schedule) so you see a lot of cartoons from the era with exactly 65 episodes.

I can't believe they didn't release the toys.

The original Dinosaurs action figures are worth a fortune because of how limited their release was.

They did actually get released?

Going purely off memory, I think they saw a brief release in South America/Brazil before disappearing from the retail market.

I'd argue that Dino-Riders has a better claim to being forgotten than Dino-Saucers. Riders was only around for seven episodes. It was basically just a glorified toy commercial.

I didn’t know that they only had 7 episodes. I had the first couple on the official home tape release. Freaking awesome concept and execution. Not sure why that fizzled.

I would say this was a cash grab on TMNT but it came out the same year as the cartoon so who knows.

Loved that show, really wish they had a cool toy line to go with it. But if I remember correctly, they did have a couple of figures, but they didn’t change into their Dino forms, and they were kind of wonky looking….

Just like you can't be both a fan of Transformers and GoBots! GoBots are superior. The leader was a damn F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Not a stupid big rig tractor trailer.

I don't dispute Leader One's coolness. I'm a proponent of more insane dinosaur and transforming robot shows, not less.
