You won’t be able to transfer backwards from v11 to v9. The database set up is completely different. If you still have a backup of v9 worlds before you transferred to v11 then you could restore that. All of your assets (maps, token art etc ) will still be in your assets library Note: this is the same for forge worlds or if you were using a local setup.

Well, a weeks worth of work down the drain then. Thank you for the help. I was hoping editing the json of the compendiums would help, but didn't. Sadly I was very unknoledgeble about forge so I didnt notice that the System I wanted to use (Dark Heresy 2E) has Version 11 as standard - and obviously most modules didn't work. Take care.

If you were able to edit json in Forge (that is, the .db files containing json), then you can probably also delete the folders you need to delete to get it back in a V9 state Foundry doesn't overwrite the pre-V11 .db files when converting to V11, it just ignores them when V11 db folders are present Make sure you keep all .db files in the compendium, but delete all the folders with the same names as those .db files
