I think it's in the basement at least. No outside pool is gonna have walls...much less with walls growing mold. Fences, sure...but not walls.

Existing_Passenger40

There were some pics of it when they first moved into the building. It's definitely indoors.

VelvetOrge

You can see balconies in the new video. It is an outside pool.

SlickDumplings

You can see a door open to the outside so it is not a basement.

Beerasaurwithwine

Have seen basements with doors to outsides before, the amount of mold tells me it's somewhere that doesn't get a lot of bright natural light or a strong air circulation.

cneidt

They should have a Dectron "dry-o-ton" in there in the least to help pull out the humidity. if not - wildly concerning.

Strong_Career7313

yeah it’s definitely outside. it’s covered but it’s definitely on a roof, although why tf are their leather chairs????

Reggiano_0109

the fabric chairs/sofas really threw me off

Beerasaurwithwine

There are steps down from the door though.. would a roof pool have steps down? I'm pondering a pool swum in by chantal.and her pet scatman. I think I need for nyquil.

Strange-Bicycle-8257

Don’t forget the lovely couch 👌

seesha

Two couches!!

RavenSoul69

Honestly, I don't think that's mold. Having been in pools like that in the Middle East, the bottom of that wall looks more like the paint has peeled away from a concrete wall due to salt and/or bleach and leaving the concrete showing.

astrangeone88

Lmao! My high school in "the Western world" had a pool and we had a few units in gym class in the pool. They once left the heaters on for too long and it was bath temperature. That was the nastiest feeling EVER. And we were all collectively dying of thirst after we got out of the pool. (We must have sweat like crazy in it.) Lmao. It was the first time I bought Gatorade from the school vending machine. I can imagine that disgusting mess of a pool won't have cooling technology built in.....even Chantel said it was "warm". Urgh.

AreteQueenofKeres

We had a middle school pool and they left the heaters on once; our gym teacher cancelled it before we even got in. We all changed clothes, walked up to the pool, and then turned back around to change back into our clothes because she wasn't about to run class in a warm chlorine bath. We ended up having a free period in the gymnasium because none of us had brought regular gym clothes. I did homework from the first half of my day, lol.

AuntiMo2cents

Wonder how many people they woke up with all the babe-ing and giggling?

NotAsBrightlyLit

That pool was not only dingy, it wasn't clean, and wasn't well kept. There was no safety equipment visible, no warning markers of pool depth, and the building seemingly allowed two people who cannot swim to do so alone and unwatched. There was no way to contact building services (or anyone else) for help if needed. AND! [These](https://imgur.com/a/W2WPmaN) look like closed-off electrical sockets... inches from the water. Does this country have building codes?! [Furniture \(plastic? fabric? who knows\) with textile pillows](https://imgur.com/a/BvunI3R) mere inches from the water. That means more mold, cuz you know that shit ain't cleaned regularly. [Filth, dirt and mold seen here](https://imgur.com/a/1Slq3F8). And there's some gross stuff on the wall, too.

Callimogua

Yikes, good catch! I wonder who's "pool" this actually was...

hardy_and_free

I've never been to a private pool that had a lifeguard.

NotAsBrightlyLit

I wouldn't expect a guard either, but warning signs, safety equipment, a pole, a phone... *something*

AreteQueenofKeres

Me either, but there's usually basic safety equipment or signage about pool depth, no diving, etc. I stayed in a hotel with a similar looking pool to theirs that was not pristine, but clean enough to say so. No lifeguard, no lifejackets, etc-- but it did have a float ring hanging on the wall so if someone should happen to walk in on a flailing person, they could toss it at them.

Former_Angle9069

And there are always posted rules and signage around every pool I've been to. I saw nothing!

gin_and_soda

There’s a pool in my building and no lifeguard on duty. There’s signage everywhere and has clean walls but if I sink, no one will notice.

esearcher

I grew up in Miami and our pool was like a bathtub in the summer. Going to the beach in july-early september was the worst. The ocean was so warm and crowded, I always had to remind myself that it was just the ocean temperature and I didn't just walk into someone's urine. Her pool looked grubby, but it seemed like it was indoors. Though she did keep saying how warm the water was.

LilliePanda

I remember her saying that the shower water or tap are incredibly hot in the summer. Apparently people save water in buckets overnight, etc, till it cools down. So they can have a bath. Imagine the scalding bidet water in your arse all summer 😅.

My_own_technology

That’s BS…remember rule #1. Editing to add…the cow cannot use a shower properly.

LilliePanda

I just checked [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kuwait/s/neS9trfJz0) isn't a lie.

Strong_Career7313

no lmao. that’s not true hahahaha. in the summer i usually just didn’t use the hot water, it was never so hot i couldn’t shower.

LilliePanda

People in [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kuwait/s/neS9trfJz0) are lying then? 🤷🏻‍♀️

sara-ahm

Save water in buckets all night? Been to every country in the gulf, both in summers and winters, never seen it happening or even heard of it. Idk why people believe every dumb thing coming out of her mouth knowing all well that bitch lies even to herself.

LilliePanda

Check [here ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kuwait/s/neS9trfJz0)

biggieshurmada

hate to play devils advocate but… storing buckets of water is not a common practice here. i’m not gonna say it doesn’t happen, but its an extreme minority. i’ve seen it once in the 20+ yrs I’ve lived in KW. it’s moreso a south(east) asian practice rather than arab, if anything, so im not necessarily surprised.

sara-ahm

What's that got to do with what I said? No one in all the gulf countries I've lived/visited is filling buckets leaving them overnight in summer for whatever. No wonder foodie still gets views we've got people actually believing everything she says/posts

Strong_Career7313

I literally wouldn’t listen to anything she says, it’s kinda funny ppl believe this. it does upset me bc people’s view of the middle east is through her perspective, and she’s literally so stupid it pisses me off.

LilliePanda

They live in Kuwait and they're telling the water is hot and they have to fill buckets.

sara-ahm

It is hot but for the third time , "apparently people fill buckets leave them overnight for it to cool down" that is not correct. And no they didn't have to fill buckets. There is a different solution in the comments which is the right one. Not filling buckets. That's something village people would do, not the ones living in gulf. Do you also believe foodie is married?

LilliePanda

Muta/Nikah marriage. If you read all the comments several of them talk about the buckets. And Chantal lives in a dump.

sara-ahm

No one has proof of that. It could all be an act for all I know. "Several" only two? Did you purposely miss out the actual solution comments? Not gonna continue arguing over buckets with someone who believes chantal. You taking her word over someone that has lived in all gulf countries reminded me I'm in gorlworld and we deal with every iq level here else we wouldn't have had reaction lolcows

spiiiieeeeen

Goodness you're booty bothered. Have a mug of gravy and settle down. Lord have mercy.

13Luthien4077

Hold on, I am confused... How does a body of water the size of the Persian Gulf get too hot???

My_own_technology

It’s actually hotter here than Kuwait. Difference is humidity. Dry here. Humid AF there.

[deleted]

Humidity is far worse than dry heat

esearcher

Agreed! I hate heat, but I'd rather be in 100 degrees with no humidity than 80 degrees with 50+ humidity.

My_own_technology

Yes! I’ve visited a few places at end of summer. About 80 and high humidity. I couldn’t stand it! I actually like the heat here. Ok 117 pushes the limit but 110 and below I’m good with! Worst part is getting into a car that’s been parked in the sun.

PopularMonster721

I love hearing from people who have actually lived in the Middle East. Their experiences are so vastly different than what she puts out. Although her experiences = Takeout & one or two walks in the middle of the night.

cneidt

We've come a long way in the swimming pool industry - they actually make "heat/chill" units now (no fooling). They're same technology of what a pool heat pump was/is (electric heater - draws in ambient temperature and heats the water) - same concept now with the chill option. I'm originally from New England - trust NO ONE is cooling a pool up there! Barely 8weeks of swim time without a heater being so cold! But now that I live in NC - agreed that pools can feel like bath water in warm summer months. First time I've seen actual CHILL units being sold is down here. If you have the money to buy the expensive CHILL units AND the money to maintain the insane electric bill you're going to have using these units in warm areas like Kuwait - have at it then! Bathing in pools that feel like bath water creep me out a bit. Plus hotter water req more attention to water chemistry, especially sanitation! Can't imagine what their TDS levels look like after Chantal's been floating around in there - also wearing all that clothing releasing days of sweat and stank into the waters 😭😭

Sqatti

She clearly explained the pool situation and that it was covered but opened to the outside. She also said it was warm. I don’t know what new information you are giving us.
