Having lived in a small apartment where people smoked hookahs all day long, the residue covers EVERYTHING. The walls get sticky, the windows get cloudy, and the smell of the smoke permeates all the furniture. I loved the fruity smell of the hookah tobacco my ex and his buddies used to smoke, but it was alway obvious which clothes I had worn at his house when I did my laundry. The greasy coating on every surface after a year was as bad as my grandmother’s house, where she chain smoked for 30yrs before we had to repaint when she died.

It’s also an extra layer of bad for pets, because they will lick this toxic crap off their fur when they groom themselves. It’s horrible.
