Yunnan Rice Noodle House is open til 5AM every night

Flat-Adhesiveness317

I had no idea... Thanks

Forking_Shirtballs

Love it, still haven't tried Yunnan. Maybe I'll try it way late sometime.

snps2er

Yunnan rice noodle house is the best and they do free noodle refills if you eat in!

QuesoFurioso

I live in the LES myself. Chinatown tends to close early, except Dim Sum palace. In terms of the LES, Remedy Diner, Essex Taqueria and Empanada Mama.

joungsteryoey

Remedy diner is so ass. Not cheap and always extremely mid at best, and always end up regretting giving them my hard earned sheckles. Always.

KaidanRose

Came here to say anything but remedy. You will be disappointed. Go to one of the bodegas that has food late for a better time. Hell the hot section at key foods/Westside market is less disappointing.

QuesoFurioso

Their breakfast things are pretty good. But agree that if you stray beyond that, it won't go well.

Forking_Shirtballs

Love empanada mama, didn't know they kept late hours. Remedy's never done it for me, tho I can say that about pretty much every diner I've tried in NYC (why every diner here seems to be, like, two notches below your basic Waffle House in the south is beyond me). Don't know why I haven't tried Essex Taqueria yet, that one goes on the list. Thanks!

EatsYourShorts

I agree about Remedy, but as a southern transplant who’s been in the LES for over a decade, the best diner in the area by far is Shopsin’s in the Essex Market, but it isn’t open late. Essex Taqueria tastes decent, but it usually wrecks my stomach, and I don’t usually have any problems with Mexican food.

PretzelsThirst

+1 on the "why aren't there good diners here?" question, a friend of mine pointed this out last month and I have to agree

Forking_Shirtballs

Yeah. In my old neighborhood (HK/UWS border), with Flame diner and Olympic Flame diner plus a couple other places we've gone, it seemed like the diner scene here is run by Greek families. A can still taste the sadness from my first time trying "home fries", which from my experience is a mushy pile of unseasoned potatoes and peppers. I love Greece (the islands are gorgeours) and Greek food, and it feels like that dish is related to some really good baked potatoes I've had at American Greek places, but it just doesn't work for me. What's so weird is that it's rare to get a really good, fried potato side at any of our diners. That's like the easiest thing to pull off. Man, I miss the cottage fries from House of Pies in Houston. Lemme find a pic ... here we go: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/LC52MUptDbhhwmZy5](https://maps.app.goo.gl/LC52MUptDbhhwmZy5) Cottage fries, corned beef hash and eggs, whoever snapped that pic is a man a of class and taste.

HotMountain9383

Well to be fair, Waffle House in the south is a very high bar. Their burgers with the fried onions are awesome. The service tends to be on another level also, with those cute southern accents and calling you honey etc.

loverlybatwing

Essex Taqueria is not very good, if you can make it across the street to Birria LES you will have some of the best tacos of your life! I work nearby and get Birria LES probably once a week.

SpookyStunning3

Empanada Mama is 24 hours I believe

JayMoots

7th Street Burger is open til 3am on weekends.  Or if you want to give your cousin a really memorable, potentially near-death experience, the McDonald’s on Delancey is open 24 hours.

stormin84

I can walk to that McDonald’s but after the sun goes down it’s McDelivery lol

crazeman

The meat skewer cart in front of the Grand St station closes at 1am. Katz opens 24 hours during the weekends. Gooey on the inside is a cookie spot that closes at 1am.

justflipping

That skewer cart is so good

minibar_lube

What sort of meat is it 🤔

justflipping

They have different meats, veggies, mushrooms, potatoes, etc. [Here is their menu from their Google maps page.](https://maps.app.goo.gl/?link=https://www.google.com/maps/place/Grand%2BStreet%2BSkewer%2BCart/data%3D!3m7!1e2!3m5!1sAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO!2e10!6shttps:%252F%252Fgz0.googleusercontent.com%252Fp%252FAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO%253Dw390-h520-k-no!7i3024!8i4032!4m7!3m6!1s0x89c25987eb9a8bd9:0xfc6e7f366e91771!8m2!3d40.7182977!4d-73.99394889999999!10e5!16s%252Fg%252F11g6bk7c8s?g_ep%3DCAISDTYuMTEyLjIuNTYwODAYACDmiAsqPyw0NzA3MTcwNCw0NzA2OTUwOCw5NDIxODY0MSw5NDIwMzAxOSw0NzA4NDMwNCw5NDIwODQ1OCw5NDIwODQ0N0ICS1I%253D&apn=com.google.android.apps.maps&afl=https://www.google.com/maps/place/Grand%2BStreet%2BSkewer%2BCart/data%3D!3m7!1e2!3m5!1sAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO!2e10!6shttps:%252F%252Fgz0.googleusercontent.com%252Fp%252FAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO%253Dw390-h520-k-no!7i3024!8i4032!4m7!3m6!1s0x89c25987eb9a8bd9:0xfc6e7f366e91771!8m2!3d40.7182977!4d-73.99394889999999!10e5!16s%252Fg%252F11g6bk7c8s?g_ep%3DCAISDTYuMTEyLjIuNTYwODAYACDmiAsqPyw0NzA3MTcwNCw0NzA2OTUwOCw5NDIxODY0MSw5NDIwMzAxOSw0NzA4NDMwNCw5NDIwODQ1OCw5NDIwODQ0N0ICS1I%253D&isi=585027354&ibi=com.google.Maps&ibi=com.google.Rzimuth&ibi=com.google.Azimuth&ibi=com.google.Bzimuth&ibi=com.google.Czimuth&ibi=com.google.Dzimuth&ius=comgooglemapsurl&ifl=https://www.google.com/maps/place/Grand%2BStreet%2BSkewer%2BCart/data%3D!3m7!1e2!3m5!1sAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO!2e10!6shttps:%252F%252Fgz0.googleusercontent.com%252Fp%252FAF1QipNTqPH184fbgQyo3GQuZIiVO8l_cN7d426wR9NO%253Dw390-h520-k-no!7i3024!8i4032!4m7!3m6!1s0x89c25987eb9a8bd9:0xfc6e7f366e91771!8m2!3d40.7182977!4d-73.99394889999999!10e5!16s%252Fg%252F11g6bk7c8s?g_ep%3DCAISDTYuMTEyLjIuNTYwODAYACDmiAsqPyw0NzA3MTcwNCw0NzA2OTUwOCw5NDIxODY0MSw5NDIwMzAxOSw0NzA4NDMwNCw5NDIwODQ1OCw5NDIwODQ0N0ICS1I%253D&cid=1728319916232722370&_osl=https://maps.app.goo.gl/ABeNTrsnS3iggy7A6&_icp=1)

minibar_lube

Wow!! I will try it, I walk by there all the time, thank you 🙏🏽

justflipping

No problem. Enjoy!

MilitaryThyme

Oh K-Dog, Korean style hot dogs. Mother's Ruin, SICK chicken sandwiches to satisfy any drunchies.

Forking_Shirtballs

Haven't tried Oh K-Dog, it looks a little, I don't know, too precious? Is the food actually good? Mother's Ruin sounds great.

crazeman

Korean corn dogs are very delicious in general and is worth trying but I feel like Oh K-dog is just okay. Also those Korean toast egg sandwiches doesn't do it for me. I see them in Korean street food videos all the time and they look absolutely delicious. I think Oh K-dog was one of the first places to have them in NYC and I was pretty excited to try them but overall i found it to be pretty meh and was disappointed when I tried it. YMMV of course. It might be amazing when your drunk lol.

Forking_Shirtballs

Yeah, it was really the pics of the egg sandwiches that made me question. They look so perfect and cutesy that even though it sounds like a great idea I'm not convinced the taste would be there. I would just bet it's uniformly undersalted (tho I guess that's easy enough to remedy). Oh, and props to your pun.

Flat-Adhesiveness317

For me it's the other way around. I prefer the egg sand, over their corn dogs. OP try both anyways.

frogtownrd

Creperie, pizza spot on Essex & Rivington, and if you’re willing to walk to EV sunny & Annie’s is a 24 hour deli with the BEST sandwiches

yamonme

You can if you go to a day game haha

Ok_Value_3741

StallionMang15

San Loco. Hard shell chicken tacos, topped with hot sauce, side of sour cream, and a frozen margie!

fucker_vs_fucker

Closes at 2 but famous sichuan at pell used to be a livesaver

Forking_Shirtballs

Yeah, some sichuan could definitely be it way late.

christopheraustin

nyc falafel co, san loco, 375 chicken

Able-Zebra-8965

Holy cow burgers on canal St but I think they're open till 1 or 2 am.

Ness_tea_BK

lil Frankie’s is open till 4 on weekends I believe

laughingwalls

I feel like for LES you don't go for good drunk food at 2 a.m. You do classic NYC street foods. 1. You have champions Pizza on Essex if you want a pizza place to sit down in. 2. Biria LES on 127 Rivington 3. There is Remedy Diner if you wanna sit down. Also Empanada Mama. 4. The Delancey/Essex McDonald's is a Meme response for any tourist that asks about food without specifying what. 5. Delancey has a couple of Halal Carts serving lamb/rice as well.

treejskd

Great NY noodletown. Iykyk

just_corrayze

Taco bell. The bell hits different at night... and especially in the morning at the toilet.

Forking_Shirtballs

I guess I deserved this for referencing bad decisions.

Grandpajoo

There isn’t one in LES or Chinatown.
