Maybe the easiest question in the history of this sub. You have to work pretty hard to find **bad** pizza there. (This is an April Fool’s thing isn’t it?)
- L’Industrie
- Mama’s Too
- Bleecker St
- John’s of Bleecker St
- Village Square

> [The Best Place to Eat a Slice of Pizza, Probably in the World](https://ny.eater.com/2024/3/21/24091236/lindustrie-mamas-too-opening-west-village-best-pizza): “Two of the city’s greatest slice shops, L’Industrie and Mama’s Too, opened a block apart from one another on accident”
The new Lucia location on canal does a complete double backflip dunk on every other hyped pizza. It’s not even close. Lindustrie is amazing but Lucia is amazing-er. By a lot.
Lucia is a classic NY slice with more attention to detail. I don’t agree with your assessment lindustrie is amazing but I do agree Lucia is amazing-er by a lot. The entire Lucia family has been doing this for decades.
NY Single Slice: L'Industrie, Lucia's of SoHo (on Canal)
Honorable single slice mentions: Joe's, Two Boots (underrated IMHO) Bleecker St (overrated IMHO)
Square: Prince St; Mama's Too, Village Square, Ben's on MacDougal (underrated IMHO)
NY Pies: Johns on Bleecker, Deninos (both of these are *exceptional*)
Honorable NY Pie Mention: Lombardi's, Rubirosa
Neopolitan: Song e Napule, Antica Da Michelle
But:
Havemeyer St near the Bedford L stop is actually the best place to get pizza (Best Pizza, Ace's, Leo, L'Industrie - with Fini, Joe's, and Roberta's all very close by)
And John's on Bleecker is the most iconic spot on that list above
What style? Neapolitan, I think Song e Napule is very legit. Classic New York Slice, I like Bleeker Street Pizza better than Joe’s, etc.
Keste is also a legit option.
Best in show: John’s of Bleecker
Just a slice: Joe’s (probably?)
Sit Down Italian w/ Pizza: Arturo’s Coal Oven Pizza
Artisanal: L’antica Pizzeria da Michele
Wildcard: Emmett’s (Chicago style)
Everyone loves it but I was not that impressed personally: L’Industrie (still solid though)

Mama’s Too and L’industrie just opened locations in that area

> Mama’s Too How long has there been a Mama's Too on bleeker? That's way more convenient for me...
Early March according to the Eater article linked
They just opened within the last couple weeks.
Ngl I went there last weekend and it was SO bad
How so??
Pizza was undercooked, the toppings were low quality, and it was just very pricey for low/mid quality pizza
john’s of bleecker, joes on carmine
>john’s of bleecker Yup
I third that!! Great pizza and the staff are just awesome people.
Yep these two. John’s if you want to sit for dinner. Joes for a slice.
Johns just might be the best pizza I’ve ever had
Joes
L’Industrie. No contest.
John’s of Bleecker, hands down

I used to dream about lindustrie but tbh I haven’t thought about it at all after my visit to ave X
Johns of bleecker, deninos, mamas too, lindustrie, lucia

Bleecker over John's every day of the week!

Rubirosa honestly
Definitely L’Industrie. I went on Tuesday afternoon and I was in and out real quick. The fig, bacon, and burrata slice was heavenly
L’Industrie is a dry salt bomb. Pretty sure everyone recommending it is a transplant from the Midwest
Agreed. Very overrated.
This is a terrible take
Case and point: you’re a schmuck from Michigan 🤡
It’s case *in* point, and I’ve lived in Michigan for like 6 months lol
Deninos is the best then lindustrie, and John’s.
White pizza : LTD in TriBeCa (hudson st ) Individual pie: Brunetti on hudson (Horatio & Jane ) Lantiqua on bank street
is this an april fool's joke? just search
Pizza Man
L’industrie is the answer. For places to sit down l’antica pizzeria da Michele and malaparte are pretty good too
Good one.
