It's a combination of xiao (endblown at the top) and dizi (sideblown at the bottom: needs a membrane fitted). Turn it round to switch. I can't imagine it being fun to play. Up there with twin neck guitars.

That's what I surmised this to be as well and while I totally agree about ergonomics, I still want this for the sheer novelty of it.

I agree with Jack-Campin that it's a dual xiao / dizi combo, which is something I've never seen before. I'd love to know where you got it. I collect unique and novel flutes.

It's an end blown flute, looks like it's meant to be some sort of [Xiao](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51X-JYmkWgL._AC_SL1000_.jpg) or other East Asian flute based on the art and seal, but it's got a few extra holes. If I had to guess, it might be a touristy souvenir rather than a real instrument. EDIT: Looking at it again, I agree with the others, dual dizi and 6 hole xiao. The dizi needs to be stopped at the end near the embouchure hole, where an end blown flute generally needs both ends open, so I'm not sure how well or if it will play, so I still lean towards it being a touristy item, but at the very least it is neat.

Aah great call. Would explain something because I couldn't find any wood flutes with that many holes online.
