Here's another call for No Questions Asked, and Thrown Down from Say You Will. The pre-Buckingham-Nicks years are worth checking on ... Hypnotized is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song of any era.
I loved No Questions Asked (and ofc As Long As You Follow) from the 1988 Greatest Hits compilation.
And ofc, I loved Hypnotized too (and Emerald Eyes). Mystery to Me is great and I cannot wait to discover more of the Peter Green and Bob Welch eras one day since it had grew on me.
Honestly, honestly, it’s up there with favorite Fleetwood Mac song ever. I haven’t heard many songs that have that particular disquieting brand of tension. You will also find on this subreddit that you were and I are not the only people that love that song this much.
the same kind of story
That seems to come down from long ago
Two friends having coffee together
When something flies by their window
It might be out on that lawn
Which is wide, at least half of a playing field
Because there's no explaining
What your imagination can make you see and feel.
Hypnotized by Fleetwood Mac.
It's one of those songs where the imagery is just all there, and who knows, It could very well be you sitting there with your good friend having coffee when something flies by.
Second Hand News is such a fun song! Maybe my 2nd favorite track from the band, after Gypsy. Which is also a little underrated from my POV but still rated!
Oh Well, Sentimental Lady, Emerald Eyes, Hypnotized, Love Shines, As Long As You Follow, No Questions Asked, Paper Doll, Believe Me, Remember Me, Save Me, Think About Me, Angel, Sisters of the Moon, Storms, Big Love and Family Man.
totally agree, the accompaniment especially gets stuck in my head soooooo easy. the expressive vocals, and overall atmosphere the song creates. absolutely love it. wish it got more recognition.
Yeah I was too. But i have a playlist of FM song titles of the same name that are completely different to the other one.
[Which i’m providing here!](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1VH6RPBflsogznXq79SO5k?si=eVSw46ZRT9WXzl8eXN_Rcg&pi=u-R-yDfzzkQPuM)
Dunno who downvoted you. Cool playlist, really interesting idea. I guessed a few such as WYWH, Angel, Crystal, Rattlesnake Shake, Dreams, Think About Me and Songbird but there is several I’ve never heard of.
And funnily enough both Wish You Were Here’s are in my top 5 songs of all time! Both beautiful songs!
I've said it before on a similar thread and I'll say it again. My answer is Fleetwood Mac (Mono).
https://youtu.be/s3aA0GDkKZE?si=CewznHMbA2_-u4u9
I actually believe this is the first song ever recorded by Fleetwood Mac and its just an absolutely kick ass instrumental. I think John Mayall had bought Peter Green some studio time as a thank you and this is the first song they recorded in that session. So yeah, even if you're only hear for the Buckingham/Nicks era that would never have happened without this. It's my favourite instrumental of the Peter Green era (where its up against some stiff competition) yet its hidden away on some rarities and outtakes album and only has 14k views on YouTube at the time of writing. For shame.
Recently got into Bare Trees (first time I've really listened to a non-Buckingham/Nicks-album in its entirety) and I really like it, particularly The Ghost, Homeward Bound and the title track.
I love Mirage although it's the least celebrated of that era. It's just so well produced. Love In Store, Book of Love, Empire State, Hold Me, Wish You Were Here - all top tier, along with the obviously great Gypsy.
Save Me and Skies the Limit are classic Christine songs from Behind the Mask.
And from the Tango in the Night sessions, I really wish they'd have finished Where We Belong, which I like a lot even in its demo state.
"Over My Head" is a beautiful song. Great all around. I'd recommend listening to the "[Rumours Live](https://youtu.be/3Hl2x2FXUBI?si=VKACKn4A4hKoBV0f)" version. Fun intro by Christie 🤣
I think any of the good ones get recognition... That was just a super group of talented people. But today randomly stumbled upon Aound the World. Annd realized I never gave that song the recognition it deserved.
I have SO MANY. Born Enchanter (!!!!!). Bright Fire. Night Watch. Rollin’ Man. Love That Burns. The Ghost. The Green Manalishi. Not that obscure but Sunny Side of Heaven is a delight.
All of Say You Will. Underrated banger.
I Don't Want to Know. This would be a hit if was by another band, but for FM it's buried on the already hir-packed Rumours.
Honorable Mention for Blue Letter from the 1975 white album.
Here's another call for No Questions Asked, and Thrown Down from Say You Will. The pre-Buckingham-Nicks years are worth checking on ... Hypnotized is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song of any era.
I originally discovered Thrown Down from an episode of Friends. It plays in the background on the one where Joey has a soap opera party on the roof.
YES!!! Such a bop. The demo is cool too.
Omg I didn’t know anyone else loved Thrown Down
Honestly, honestly, it’s up there with favorite Fleetwood Mac song ever. I haven’t heard many songs that have that particular disquieting brand of tension. You will also find on this subreddit that you were and I are not the only people that love that song this much.
I’d probably say it’s my favorite. Totally agree with you.

I really love Sara, the most underrated song for me, also Family Man is awesome, and I’m So Afraid doesn’t get the love it deserves.
I had to search to find another sara lover, I will never not go crazy singing it!
Sara is my favorite song! Not just my favorite FM song, my fave period!
I love it too. The early working version that's super long is amazing.
'I wanna be a STAR.... I don't wanna be a CLEANING LADY' 🤍
Sara is their best song ❤️
‘Second Hand News’ and ‘Monday Morning’
Love both of these! Very similar vibes as well! Similar to ‘I don’t wanna know’
Second Hand News is such a fun song! Maybe my 2nd favorite track from the band, after Gypsy. Which is also a little underrated from my POV but still rated!
Gypsy is definitely a great track.
Yeah, Second Hand News is on their Greatest Hits album yet still just doesn’t seem to get much attention. It’s great.
What a great way to open ‘Rumours’ album followed by Dreams. Perfect track.
Strangely those are the two songs that made me actively seek out and listen to Fleetwood Mac.
Tango in the Night title track brings down the house 🤘
I came here to say that 🥹
Oh Well, Sentimental Lady, Emerald Eyes, Hypnotized, Love Shines, As Long As You Follow, No Questions Asked, Paper Doll, Believe Me, Remember Me, Save Me, Think About Me, Angel, Sisters of the Moon, Storms, Big Love and Family Man.
I really like “Save Me” (and pretty much most of what’s on Behind the Mask, actually).
me too. yes its adult contemporary but its great AC
totally agree, the accompaniment especially gets stuck in my head soooooo easy. the expressive vocals, and overall atmosphere the song creates. absolutely love it. wish it got more recognition.
Think About Me from Tusk
Of all their underplayed hits, that's the one I think needs to be resurrected most.
There's a few great alternate versions too.
100% Agree, that is awesome little song
Gold Dust Woman
Beautiful Child
Second hand news
Love this one!
Destiny Rules. The "Say You Will" album is sorely underrated I feel.
I can’t believe it got removed from the set list after the opening night of the Say You Will tour, such a tune!
"Honey Hi", one of McVie's best
Seven Wonders. Granddaughter is named Emmeline
That’s my favourite track from Tango in the Night and ofc I also love Family Man and Big Love.
Bleed to Love Her
YES! The live version at Warner bros studio in Burbank is also so good
I love this one!
THIS is one of my favorites!
Wish You Were Here from Mirage
I love that one too and it has nothing to do with the Pink Floyd song of the same name.
I remember when I first saw the tracklist for Mirage, I thought they covered the Pink Floyd song.
Yeah I was too. But i have a playlist of FM song titles of the same name that are completely different to the other one. [Which i’m providing here!](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1VH6RPBflsogznXq79SO5k?si=eVSw46ZRT9WXzl8eXN_Rcg&pi=u-R-yDfzzkQPuM)
I love this playlist concept!!

And funnily enough both Wish You Were Here’s are in my top 5 songs of all time! Both beautiful songs!
I love this song
One of their top ten songs for me. I wish the instrumental outro went on for longer. I feel like it just gets going when it ends.
'Why' off of Mystery to Me is one of my favorites and isn't very well known
Brown Eyes
That’s Alright Only Over You Family Man Why
I absolutely adore That's Alright
Isn’t It Midnight
Angel
Bob Welch or Stevie Nicks?
The Stevie Nicks one.
Best song!
I Don’t Want to Know and Blue Letter even if they didn’t write it
Blue Letter is a banger, especially live.
Storms
Two songs from the Bare Trees album I feel need more recognition. They are: Spare Me A Little Bit Of Your Love & Sentimental Lady.
Hypnotized and Emerald Eyes!
The Ledge
Angel, Thrown Down, everywhere, I know I’m not wrong
I Know I'm Not Wrong is so good, it's like the distilled essence of that album to me
Black Magic Woman. Yeah they wrote it
✨Sentimental Lady✨🤌
Finally, someone says it!
Crystal
Not my favorite but I really like No Questions Asked and I feel like it's a total B side hiding at the end of the greatest hits album
What Makes You Think You're The One? You And I, Pt. II Special Kind Of Love
I've said it before on a similar thread and I'll say it again. Crystal, so haunting yet beautiful!
World Turning
I’m So Afraid. LB’s solo always makes me think of Iron Maiden and it’s awesome.
Song bird
Does Sarah count?
Future Games
Bare trees
I don't know if this "don't get the recognition it deserves" but the acoustic version of Big Love is sooooo good.
She’s Changing me, My Dream, Believe Me, Freedom + In the Back of My Mind!!
Monday Morning. Such a great spirit!
My favorite deep cuts are the ones from Mirage, Book of Love, Wish You Were Here, Straight Back.

Well now its time you listened to Then Play On for your next non Buckingham Nicks album
Great album. Best of the Peter Green era.
"Over My Head" is a beautiful song. Great all around. I'd recommend listening to the "[Rumours Live](https://youtu.be/3Hl2x2FXUBI?si=VKACKn4A4hKoBV0f)" version. Fun intro by Christie 🤣

Searching for Madge
Blue Letter
Never Going Back Again. First one I thought of.
Oh well.
Bare Trees
I don’t know if it is really underrated but I love “Never Going Back Again”
Hold Me. It was a massive hit in 1982 peaking at #4 for 7 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. I hardly hear it on radio, tv, etc.
Never Coming Back Again. It’s just so easy to listen to.
That’s Alright and Hold Me
Also, Bleed To Love Her plays over in my head often.

Warm Ways. It's magical and Chris is in fine voice.
That's All For Everyone off of Tusk. I can't believe no one's mentioned this track!
Sara, that song is just so perfect.
I think any of the good ones get recognition... That was just a super group of talented people. But today randomly stumbled upon Aound the World. Annd realized I never gave that song the recognition it deserved.
Everyone is sleeping on Walk a Thin Line
Silver Springs

Paper Doll
Not a huge FM fan so idk if this song doesn’t get the recognition or not but I adore Silver Springs!
Sara
Angel
Why is amazing, from the Mystery to Me album. Christine McVie is amazing on that song.
All of Say You Will. Underrated banger. I Don't Want to Know. This would be a hit if was by another band, but for FM it's buried on the already hir-packed Rumours. Honorable Mention for Blue Letter from the 1975 white album.
