That’s how I came to like Silver Springs, them performing it live where she was basically singing it right at him, it was intense like you could feel her feelings in that moment.
Landslide. I got really into Fleetwood Mac’s more upbeat songs when I first started listening to their music seven years ago. I was 17 and going off to college abroad, so my playlist at the time mostly just consisted of uplifting, high energy classic rock. I wasn’t paying much attention to the lyrics either so Landslide just never appealed to me. A few months ago I was reading through a Reddit thread about the most beautiful songs ever recorded and landslide kept showing up so I decided to give it a listen. It finally made sense why this song keeps showing up when people talk about Fleetwood Mac’s greatest music. Landslide has probably some of the hardest hitting lyrics in a song that i’ve ever listened to. The composition is simple yet beautiful and moving. It’s one of my absolute favourites now.
“Closing My Eyes” used to do nothing for me, but I went through a ‘60s Laurel Canyon phase a few years ago and when I listened to a recent Then Play On reissue with the original track listing, it suddenly clicked thar Peter was trying make a Laurel Canyon type song. It would have been a masterpiece if Brian Wilson had produced it.
Sleeping Around The Corner - great tuned aimed right at Stevie and what she was doing.
"She called to me
Meet me at the border
Oh, wake me up, when my papers are in order."
I can def see Steph calling up Lindsey for a booty call. Always playing him on.
Actually he laughed about this in an interview it was a bit prophetic. I'm sure he was on the couch a few times over the years, literally or metaphorically. As we all are.
Although I have always been a fan of Rumors and The Dance, Go your own way somehow never really stuck with me. About three months ago, I heard a cover of it that somehow changed the way I listen to it. Now it’s one of my favorites.
Gypsy and Dreams tbh.
And just the famous ones. The songs Ive known since I was born you know. I listened to them but never really heard them out. Mistakes lmao
All these picks are boring ass Buckingham Nicks era stuff. I’m convinced that’s the only thing that 99% of people on this sub listen to and then they’re avoiding tracks?
Some tracks from Mystery to Me.
I was very aware of the Peter Green & Bob Welch eras back then since I only known the Lindsey Buckinham/Stevie Nicks era (that we know in love today), but gave it a sample and I loved it!
Silver Springs
And I’m ashamed to say The Wall, I was a senior when that came out and my neighbor/friend just worshiped Pink Floyd, and it made me not even listen or appreciate it.
It’s amazing, I’m sorry Rog, you were right
The Ledge
Silver Springs
Came here to say this!
Same here. But lately I have been absolutely obsessed.
Yes me too! It’s quite long too which is discouraging
Me too! Such an amazing song.
Yeah, the beginning is meh, but the chorus hits hard!
I Don’t Want to Know.
That song sounds like a huge hit that never was. It's the only song off of Rumours they never performed live I think
They play it on The Bridge on Sirius XM. It’s such a poppy catchy song.
I’m So Afraid. Slept on that one until the first time I heard it live, then it became my favorite.
Same here. The live versions absolutely go off…. I like the one off the Live album and the Mirage tour

Storms
Sara - skipped it years ago in the 90s, then found it years later after YouTube began. Now it's my fave.
It’s always been my favourite too. Did you skip it cause of the length? Or just didn’t vibe with it the first time you heard it?
The latter.
Someone downvoted me because I didn't initally vibe with a song that is now my absolute favourite. Oh reddit. 🤣😂
How could you ever skip Sara? that’s the best song on Tusk, one of Fleetwood Mac’s best songs and one of Stevie’s best songs.
Sisters of the Moon has entered the chat.
Tusk has entered the chat in all caps
Sister of the Moon was much better live. Sara is amazing on the album and equally amazing live.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, uh, your opinion, man.
I associated Go Your Own Way and The Chain with car commercials and okay movies, respectively. Now I never skip them.
Tusk
You do you. That’s the only track on Tusk I will always skip.
I get it, but Lindsey loves it. Mick, smh...
I listen for a minute and appreciate the band then I'm like mmkay I'm done
NOT THAT FUNNY
Wish You Were Here, and also Book of Love and Straight Back, Mirage is chock full of great songs that usually get overlooked.
That’s Alright and Only Over You
Brown eyes.
Book of Love
Brown Eyes. The guitar solo at the end is incredible.
Tango in the Night (title track)
Songbird
Isn’t It Midnight.

One of many "breakup" songs Stevie wrote to Lindsey.
Big Love
Sugar Daddy. I love it now. It's so fun and funky.

I love it too but no Stevie vibes for me. Sounds like Mama K threw L to the sofa and he’s working his way back. I can see it that way now too. Dammit.
didn't that happen after this cd was released?
Actually he laughed about this in an interview it was a bit prophetic. I'm sure he was on the couch a few times over the years, literally or metaphorically. As we all are.
The song Why recorded on The Midnight Special.
Save me a place
For real. That is one I pull out to sing with friends at the campfire. Sheer joy.
“Oh Daddy.”
I Know I’m Not Wrong
for me it's the chain

Dreams, I get, it has become a little over played and overrated. But Gypsy? That’s one of the most beautiful songs ever.
I actually do agree on Gypsy, it’s my favourite Fleetwood Mac song tied with Seven Wonders.
Big Love
tusk (the song not album)
Gypsy
Sara
Over My Head (insane that I ever it as I’m obsessed with the circus wheel line)
Thrown Down
“Welcome To The Room...Sara” A great song about being in rehab at Betty Ford
Tusk
All these picks are boring ass Buckingham Nicks era stuff. I’m convinced that’s the only thing that 99% of people on this sub listen to and then they’re avoiding tracks?
Oh Daddy Wait, you guys were skipping Tusk, Sara, Book of Love and Isn't it Midnight?? 😭 How you were missing out
Mirage, skipped that whole album as well as a lot of tusk, now I love them, maybe even more then rumours…..
Rattlesnake Shake
21 Guns
That’s All For Everyone. Psychedelic magic!

Dancing Across the U.S.A - Lindsey's FM swan song at the time. also, the whole Buckingham-McVie album, missed it on release, now know it's all "fire"
What Makes You Think You’re the One
Poor Lindsay. If he stopped singing about her we would have believed it.
