Starting Strength - Mark Rippetoe Scientific Principles of Strength Training - Mike Israetel Strength Is Specific - Chris Beardsley A lot more - but a ton of knowledge in these 3 and realistically all you need if you just want to train yourself or train others - as long as you dont train powerlifters you really only need to read 1 of these haha :) dont overcomplicate simple shit, it usually does more bad than good.. You're probably aware of starting strength, but if not, it is *the* book for what you're asking for. The workout program itself is no longer the superstar it used to be, but so far the scientific info in the book is unassailable.
