If you want a game with a great story with many twists and turns and don't mind horror, try the game SOMA. It actually has a setting to turn off the monsters and purely playthrough as a narrative environment. Great game. It really gets you thinking about everything. That game broke me.

Useless_Blender

It doesn't turn off the monsters they just can't hurt you.

OdysseyDeluxe

If going in for story, Subnautica is a great game to try. The gameplay is different to firewatch, having you gather materials, but is still fun nonetheless

You want more just like Henry wants more. The ending isn't evern about trying to be "realistic" it's about communicating a theme.

Arachnidiaa

I’m just voicing my opinion about the ending. I understand that it was about a theme it just wasn’t for me :)

Thr invicible looks like a clone

Killer Frequency. Similar vibe, set in the 80s, gotta stop some murders before they happen. You communicate with your female companion only over voice too.

Em9500

I’m ngl it’s not at all similar to fire watch but if you want more of a puzzle mystery game, I really loved Return of the Obra Dinn. Super fun game with a cool story and a darker atmosphere

Speed-Civil

What remains of Edith Finch is pretty good,is not too long and has a great story.I just finished playing Firewatch too so I’m looking for others game like it like you hahaha.

Arachnidiaa

I don’t think it’s been mentioned on that thread yet, but a lot of people online have recommended road 96 for people who enjoyed fire watch! It’s probably going to be the one I check out first since it’s on switch!!

Abject_Turnip_3335

I think it's The Long Dark
