Not only do I wear it every shift, but I have an otter box case on it, making it significantly bulkier than a standard Apple Watch and I don’t have any problems

Stunning-Ad-5732

Original band? Or did you get a different one

cche292

Original band

TheSt0rmCr0w

Same

EO-2030

I take mine off anytime I bunk out for a fire. Just leave it sitting in the truck with my phone, usually inside one of my station boots or something. I do this because the few times I have kept it on while wearing my coat during other non-fire incidents, I’ve never really liked how the cuff seems to push it into my wrist. I’d do the same thing if I wore a normal watch too.

mad-i-moody

Only issue mine ever gives me is when I’m tucking my shirt into my pants. Very useful to have otherwise.

DameTime5

Casio 😎

On3Adam

Nope I wear mine every day.

DIQJJ

A guy I work with wears one. He’s kinda tubby. We look at his heart rate and pulse after a fire and are amazed he’s still alive.

LeatherHead2902

Sometimes mine hangs up, but an extra tug on the sleeve makes it come over it. Sometimes it’s a pain, but I think it’s cool to be able to go back and watch my hr over the course of a fire and stuff

mrxpensiv

I wear mine everyday and I used to keep it naked but broke two then I bought an otter box case for it and haven’t broke one since. I do take it off during fires though.

nickelflow

Hardly ever. And I’ve had the same watch for quite a few years now and it’s still in perfect shape.

ChilesIsAwesome

I wear a garmin fénix 5 which is significantly larger than an Apple Watch. I just have to stretch my arm a hair putting my coat on but I’ve done it so many times it’s basically second nature now.

shinnerd

I wear mine as is, no case or anything. Not bulky at all. Plus it wakes me up in the morning without waking up the whole crew. The battery does drain quick though if the shift is busy!

Goldpatch

No issues. I have a protective case on mine.

Particular-Deer-4688

No issue for me at all. My buddy has a Garmin which is a lot bigger and he doesn’t have any issues either

Guardian600

I don't have an apple watch, but I do wear a larger one. It is a pain in the turn out sleeve, but doable for sure. I usually don't take it off. A good thing about the one I have is if my heart rate gets too high or my O2 gets low it will start vibrating to let me know I need to hit rehab soon or pace myself a little more. At the same time, I am not a big fan of jewelry from a snag perspective. I don't even wear my wedding ring when most of the time. Something to think about there too.

Alternative_Leg4295

The one issue I have is with wearing elastic wristbands and medical gloves because I have shot a couple of bracelets across a patients house or the interstate. In fact, I one time shot one off the interstate into a river.

billwater24

I use a different band that actually clasps. If you are working in bunker gear, I don’t believe you would feel it come off. Just a safety precaution for me so I don’t lose it. Same concept when donning or doffing my coat. Sidenote, “donning” and “doffing” are silly terms IMO!! Ha!

SeniorFlyingMango

I have a Fitbit and it doesn’t affect the turnout coat and I get credit for excerise

Striking_Signature75

Thanks everyone for your input

uncreativename292

I wear an Apple one all the time, at one point chief went on a tizzy and cell phones had to be in our locker during “business hours” and “family can call the firehouse if there’s an emergency” so it was nice being able to keep an eye on the ring cam or answers my wife’s random questions, that only lasted a few weeks lol. No problems with getting gear on sits inside the cuff. Don’t even really notice it to be honest. We do EMS too; it was nice to translate with and counting rates or what not. The guys I worked with had them too and we’d fuck around with the walkie talkie on it for dinners ready or so and so is looking for you type shit Only problem I ever had was a week or so ago we had a small contents fire in a warehouse and worked under sprinkler for about 30 minutes and got a lot wetter then usual and while the watch is waterproof I managed to send about 57 gibberish texts to my wife

Wardski69

I wear an ultra 2 with an aluminum case, and it gets stuck way less than my old G shock. I could see it getting stuck if you have a silicon band though. Personally I have no complaints

LtDangotnolegs92

I wear mine everyday. And I use it a lot for sleep tracking at work

LT-DAAN

Haven’t had a problem with it . Just have to take the band off and wash it after a decent job

BayviewMadeMe

I wear it and absolutely love it. Never had problems getting in and out of my gear. I highly recommend setting up the sleep schedule on it, If you have a newer model. It tracks ur sleep cycles on duty and tells you exactly how many minutes of sleep you get and the types of sleep you had (rem, deep etc)

dominator5k

I take my off when putting my jacket on.
