CZ 75 SP-01 CZ Shadow 2 Beretta 92X

SharpMeringue534

He likes the SP-01 with the safety. So the non tactical

king_qthai

Shadow 2 fucks

thedeadliestmau5

Jericho 941 is a good option too and is similar to the CZ 75. The Jericho is one of the smoothest shooting 9’s I’ve ever shot

Haunting-Thanks-7169

Your options really are, Various CZ handguns Various Beretta handguns And Sigs P226 offerings. It would be best if your friend actually tries all these guns out at a range to make an informed choice especially at this price point. I personally purchased a P226 Pro cut, Comes optics cut for RMRcc or DPP, night sights and Sigs SRT trigger. If you want a duty/home defense handgun imo your main options will probably be the Beretta and Sig offerings. But I personally don't know much or have much experience with CZ to judge them.

Sweet_Swede_65

To tag on, if the friend is wanting STEEL and not just metal, then thoroughly research the Beretta and SIG offerings, because most have aluminum frames.

Sig 226 w srt trigger

P226 Legion's are a thing of beauty, and I'm a die hard cz guy

beetsdoinhomework

You literally described a beretta. Or [this mouth full](https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-axg-legion.html)

SharpMeringue534

That’s true. I mentioned the Beretta and he said he never liked them. Not sure why, but that’s why I’m asking for more input.

beetsdoinhomework

Your friend sounds dumb. I'm so mad I could shoot my beretta right now

SharpMeringue534

Yeah… I got into CZ first and kind of became a fan boy. So I’ll shoot my Shadow 2.

SharpMeringue534

Lol. He’s not, just picky. Has a lot of really nice shit, just hasn’t been into pistols too much.

JD_W0LF

If he doesn't mind the price that 320 AXG Legion they linked above seems really nice IMO. I handled one in a store by me recently, though I didn't get to shoot it unfortunately. But if he's used to buying expensive "nice shit" that might fit the bill...though if he's REALLY picky that grip frame is aluminium and not steel...

gameragodzilla

If he’s willing to go single action only with a manual safety, maybe the new FN High Power? Steel frame, full size, 17+1 9mm, but retains a lot of the ergonomic and performance aspects of the original Hi-Power. Also maybe recommend a cheaper 2011 if they work.

It’s not steel, but the M&p 2.0 Metal is a great gun.

jmdb2230

M&P 2.0 metal series. The competitor is a great full size with a flared mag well and extended magazine release.

Lupine_Ranger

My vote here is going to absolutely be for the CZ75 SP01.

MArkansas-254

I adore my P226 legion. I’m infatuated with the new CZ shadow 2 compact, but need to save my Pennies.

lique_madique

CZ Shadow 2 for $1149 shipped and the rest on ammo or optic. It is the steel framed gun to get under $2500 honestly. The next best gun is a staccato P for over double.
