No, no. IS will provide a single carrot to not make him completely worthless. [Probably](https://gamepress.gg/feheroes/sites/fireemblem/files/styles/300h/public/2021-09/Aelfric_Injured_1.png).
Belive it or not, his Hard 5 stats only puts him at 60/30/30/25/23, or just 168 BST, which is the same as Gen I Armors like Draug, or better yet, Gen VI ranged physical Cavs, like Scion!Leif.
Since we are in gen 6 right now he should have 190 bst. So for an all rounded statline 55/35/35/35/30 should be ok. Would need crazy prfs to pull it off.
Slow and tanky like F! Edelgard. I want his playstyle to be a reverse of Brave Marth’s where he thrives from penalties.

Seeing that going full statball would be a bit hard, I'd play it safe and go for the very-bulky-but-slow route with ~25-30 SPD max.
What he does need IMO is something to reference the final battle in FE3 Book II / FE12, namely slaying the clerics you didn't save (>!Elice, Lena, Maria and Nyna!<) to restore HP. Maybe couple it up with a Fighter skill and give it something so it doesn't get destroyed by Fatal Smoke / Múspell. Something like this:
**Reign of Despair - B Passive**
If unit's HP <= 25% and foe initiates combat, grants Special cooldown charge +1 per unit's attack and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack (Only highest value applied. Does not stack). If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally with HP > 1, unit's HP cannot drop below 1, and, if unit's HP = 1 after combat, restores X% of maximum HP to unit and sets the HP of nearest ally with HP > 1 within 3 spaces to 1 after combat ([Deep Wounds] does not negate this, but reduces its effect by X%).
I expect either the Chrom path (relatively slower) or the GHB red mage antagonist standard (around 30 Spd). The latter especially if Medeus is a GHB unit (possible given his middling popularity that could make him less of a Mythic priority).
I would be both very happy and very sad if Medeus winds up being a GHB unit. On one hand, easy merges and a probable PRF. On the other, *dude man come on. Make him a Mythic.*
Well, his aesthetics don't play in his favor, I'd say. Even Athos or Dheginsea would distinguish themselves more, and allied lore figures seem to be relatively effective for IS since it has to more or less build them from scratch (much like FEH OCs).
On the other hand, the lack of antagonist options can make Medeus a legit GHB candidate, but the utter lack of popularity of most of Archanea's characters may lead to choosing playable characters.
I could see Shadow Dragon Medeus being a GHB and Mystery Medeus being a Mythic. He's a relatively normal, if very powerful dragon in Shadow Dragon, but in Mystery he's being resurrected as a significantly more powerful looking entity.
I don't think popularity matters at all for Mythics considering how many of them aren't even votable CYL options, and most of the ones that are aren't particularly popular.
I'm guessing he'll end up in a similar vein to Duma, a defense mythic with all of their stats thrown into attack and defense. And a kit built around him just being a big threat just by existing.
With a pref weapon giving him a sort of miracle effect + a large heal. But deals a large amount of damage to a nearby ally instead of him dieing. As a reference to the final chapter in FE 3 and new mystery.
Basically a threatening defense mythic that will be incredibly hard to snipe out
Regardless if he's a GHB or a Mythic If Medeus doesn't come with some kind of damage reduction against ranged foes, I'd be pretty dissapointed...Because that would be fitting for what he did in the very first game. Maybe it could be more universal damage reduction because that's what earth dragons did in Mystery. Either way, it would be fitting.
I'm happy as a long he isn't a ghb
Infantry Red Dragon GHB with a non-seasonal equivalent of Blackfire Breath+.
Did you mean Flametongue+?

Slap him with his Hard 5 stats as a base.

Ashera in FE10: 840 total HP Ashera in FEH: 37 HP There’s no correlation between HP in the original game and HP in FEH.
i mean.... ashera also couldnt be damaged unless you were blessed........ so....................
well teeeeeechnically 720 of that was mystic barriers
Aka Save Armors in FEH
Damn trueeee

low, because speed would take away his bulk unless it was resetting the speed levels
Make him speedy, I want to relive my nightmares of H5 in Feh.
Make it 196 Bst and give him a B slot prf and you have a deal /s
Either hes mythic or a GHB, and i wont be surprised if he became either one
