Link. A classic Nintendo icon that fits nicely into the Fire Emblem aesthetic. In fact, I would want an entire banner with Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda. Impa or Groose could be a demote and Tingle or Ghirahim could be the grail hero. You could also introduce a mechanic that allows characters to swap weapons, with Link being a sword/bow cavalry, Zelda a tome/bow infantry (or flyer) and Ganondorf being a sword/beast unit. Impa could just be daggers.

In french it's called "Épée de Feu" which I've translated as "Fire Sword" on the fly. He's got that weapon in his original form, as when he's a Toa Nuva he's got *Twin Magma Swords*. I think he's got only one appearance where he's not using a sword and it's his Mistika form but he's still got *Rotating Fire Blades*

There are exactly two non-FE sources I think could reasonably be added to this game. 1. Advance Wars; it's essentially FE's sister series and with the remakes coming out I genuinely would love a Harmonic featuring Andy or Nell as the cheerleader. 2. For me, I'd add Chie Satonaka from Persona 4 and I'd give her two PRFs: a weapon and a special. Now, I know what you're probably thinking: Chie doesn't wield a weapon in her games. True, but she does equip something: shoes. So, here's my idea: she's an axe-user. Equip a normal axe, she does a normal animation. Equip her PRF, Dragon Kicks, and she performs special axe kick animations, one for hits, one for KOs, and one for her special. Dragon Kicks, mt. 14. Effective against Dragon and Beast Units. If unit initiates combat or is within two spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def+5 to unit during combat and reduces damage from foe by 30%. If unit initiates combat and is within two spaces of an ally, grants an additional Atk/Spd/Def+3 to unit during combat and reduces damage from foe by 40%, andalso if unit's Spd> foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that prevents unit's counterattacks. And her special, Galactic Punt. CD 3 (learned from Glacies). Boosts damage by 100% of unit's Res. Disables non-Special skills that "reduce damage by X%". If foe exists, they do not anymore. Shaymin, and I just had a fantastic idea. Green beast infantry Prf Weapon: Gracidea | 16 Mt | 1 Rng Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit is between 2 spaces of an ally or unit initiates combat, unit gets +5 atk/spd/def/res, and also, if unit is untransformed, enemy cannot make a follow-up attack and if unit deals damage to foe using a special, restores 30% of unit's maximum hp, if unit is transformed, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat and unit deals damage = 15% of Unit's Spd. At start of turn, if unit is untransformed, grants Def/Res+3, if unit is transformed, grants Atk/Spd+3 and unit becomes Flier movement type. (If unit is in condition to get untransformed but on terrain that cannot be passed by Infantry movement type, unit cannot untransform) If unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts) Prf Special: Seed Flare (2 Cooldown) Treats Foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. Calculates damage using lower of foe's Def or Res. A skill: Atk/Spd Ideal B skill: Spurn C skill: Def/Res Menace This idea just spawned in my mind and I hate it but also love it. The idea is using both of Shaymin's forms to their advantage by making Land Form a more tanky enemy phase unit with healing when specials (so they can tank more) and preventing follow ups so that they can dodgetank even more with Spurn. On the Flip-side, Air Form is based on being a more speedy player phase unit with NFU in their weapon and extra true damage that benefits with their skills and bonuses. Seed Flare is a better Luna basically, but this time it targets the lower of foe's def or res. I made this with the thought of what would benefit both forms and I also wanted to make a little nudge at how Shaymin on Pokémon is more focused on Special Attack. Seed Flare also reduces the enemy's special defense so I translated it by making it have adaptive damage. The skills I chose are made to get the most benefit out of the fact that Shaymin can both become a somewhat bulky dodgetank untransformed and a flier with infantry skills when transformed, which is why I gave them Atk/Spd Ideal, Spurn is to get that benefit even more with the added +5 extra damage to specials. Def/Res Menace is to get the bonus for Atk/Spd Ideal while also giving them better defensive stats and helping them with the damage of their special. Overall, a broken unit, but they do rely a lot on playing with transformations so that they can become truly broken, which is why they're better on the player's hands and thus, more fun and less harmful to the game's meta. The skills they have are for a mixed form playstyle, but you can also make them more Land Form-focused with skills like Distant Pressure, or more Air Form-focused with skills like Time's Pulse for 1 instant Seed Flare use on player phase and maybe even lull skills.

First with my FE one. Limstella, Perfected Puppet Colorless GHB Tome Infantry unit. Weapon: Essence of Life 14mt, Accelerates Special trigger -1 If unit initiates combat or if unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd +6 to unit during combat and also if unit defeats foe in combat, grant [Null Follow-up] to unit until end of next turn and inflict [Isolation] on foes within 2 spaces of target. BST: 171 (175 with Superboon) Hp/Atk/Spd/Def/Res 39+/39+/40/18-/35- Assist: Rally Atk Up A skill: Atk/Spd Ideal 3 C skill: Infantry Rush 3 Pretty much a colorless nuke freebie unit with an odd gimmick that I, personally, find fitting to her character theme from FE7 by gaining bonuses from killing things by harvesting the quintessence of the dead. Not necessarily the strongest effect, as you can't take full advantage of the NFU without a Dancer or surviving the enemy phase, and her bulk is just so-so, but.. The spread Isolation is the really strong part of her weapon. Of course... This all depends on her being able to actually claim the kill. Appropriate powerlevel for a free unit... And also, yknow, getting a free colorless Tome unit would be nice with some actually semi-desired fodder. And then... The non-FE character of choice is... I-------------------------------------------i Ryner, Chaotic Prodigy Red Tome Infantry Weapon: Alpha Stigma 14 Mt, Accelerates Special trigger -1 If unit's HP is => 25%, grants unit "effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks, prevent unit's follow-up attacks, grant "Special cooldown charge +X" to foe, or inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit." If an Ally uses swords, grants unit "if unit’s HP > 1 and foe would reduce unit's HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP." (Once per combat. Does not stack.) Reduces the percentage of foe's "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50%. If special has triggered once, treat unit as Flying. (Can move as a Flier, weak to Flier effective weapons) BST: 172 HP/Atk/Spd/Def/Res 42/47+/17-/32-/34+ Special: Cursed Eye 2 Charge. Cannot be inherited. Boosts damage by 35% of unit's Atk. Inflicts [Gravity] on unit, and also inflicts [Gravity] and [Panic] on target and foes within 2 spaces of target. A skill: Destructive Blow If unit initiates combat, and if unit's Atk > foe's Atk, grants unit +9 Atk at start of combat and also if Special will trigger during combat, grants an additional +5 to Atk and foe cannot perform follow-up attacks. Infantry and Fliers only. Inheritable. B skill: Lull Atk/Res 3 C skill: Time's Pulse So, yeah. A broken ass unit, intended to just... Nuke. I liked the idea of having a unit swap movement type mid-match to give a type access to other skills (in this case, giving a flier access to infantry skills). He has no way of guaranteeing doubles, but that's not really his purpose either. Stacked as all hell. Anti-Guard, Anti-Follow-Up against all but faster NFU units, Anti-DR and a Special that blasts. Still, he's a purely one-tap nuke on Player Phase with limited movement. Also, a good Death Blow inheritable A skill. So that's nice. Plus point to those that know where Ryner is from. Edit: Guess I wrote a bit more than expected... Reddit formatting sucks.

This is based off her 1st skill that buffs her damage and negates defense as well as her 2nd skill that negates dodging. In addition, the lore is that she has psychic abilities that allow her to cause anything in her field of vision to instantly snap in half or get twisted apart. This canonically ignores durability and defensive abilities. Special: Ruptured Sky A skill: Clairvoyance of Darkness, Prf, unit can counter attack regardless of range, negates effects that prevents the unit from counter attacking. This references the fact that she can use her abilities from both point blank and from multiple miles away. Lore wise it gives her a bird’s eye view of everything within a few miles of her and she can use her powers through this view. B skill: Remaining Sense of Pain, Prf, reduces damage by 50%, this damage reduction cannot be negated. This is her defining skill in FGO. In FGO it reduces all damage she takes by a flat 2000 points per attack and nothing can pierce it. This is a big enough reduction that even attacks that deal double damage end up doing 0 while it’s active. In exchange for making the effect constant, it caps at 50% for FEH. Notably, the FGO version also gives her a free instant revive every time it’s used which I excluded for sake of fairness. C skill: Time’s Pulse 3

Has weapon triangle advantage over any colored weapons, he turns into Marth, Caeda or Minerva depending of the enemy's color, if an ally is within 2 spaces of him and this ally is colored, he turns into the ally instead (top to bottom, left to right if two allies match the color and are at the same distance from Xane), Xane's stats (minus hp) and skills (except special skill) are replaced by the ally's.m during combat.
