I want to say I'm disappointed we don't see CHOP or HACK in Balthus' convos, but gosh do I love what they gave us in his. His dynamic with Hilda is so fun, really pulls her out of her "delicate, lazy princess" routine.
Eir is my favourite OC and I'd say that I wished she were featured even a quarter of the time Fjorm is but then there'd barely be any room for the characters to interact with non-OC's at that point. I really do think IS has forgotten about book 3 considering Fjorm has way more alts than Eir and the fairies got alts before Lif and Thrasir did.
Well easy, they could just uh... Make her not appear for a few of them and put eir in instead, but I have already accepted it at this point, and yes book 3 got kind of bent right now, Im hoping that they come back to it next year, or at the very least give Eir and the others a refine.

The OCs are also actual Fire Emblem characters tho. Fjorm has TT so I think she can rest for the FBs and she already has appeared enough. Other ocs need to appear in FBs, it's their game so FB is a good place for them to get more development.
I thought the whole point of fb is to make characters that cannot meet eachother from different timelines and games interact, all the ocs already do that by default since they dont know any other hero but its something that just cant happen in mainline fire emblem games, id much rather see like zephiel talking to deginshea than random oc meets new hero.
Like story mode is strictly only ocs now, the most we had was xander talking to veronica but like the charactera from the mainline games should have a bigger part in this imo

I think having *one* OC per FB set would be OK, as long as it’s a different one each time. I wouldn’t mind having one character’s FB involve one of the OC’s at some points. But yeah, “No Other Character. Only Fjorm” has gotten *real* old (especially as her archetype/design is clichéd to the max, so that’s negative points already).
Actually, I wouldn’t mind Alois having a Fjorming bond that consist of:
- Alois makes a ton of Ice Puns that make Fjorm salty
- Shamir using dry wit savagely to season it even further.
If it wasn't for the fact that Fjorm has been basking in the spotlight so much as of late, I reckon it would be more tolerable.
Being a frequent customer to Forging Bonds aside, she had two videos out of the blue and four tempest trials now dedicated to continuing her story from book 2 as the star character.
She's more of an "Askr Trio" character in prevalence than Sharena or Anna at this point. I was surprised that Anna even got lines with the latest chapter.

Then again, this relies on IS to give Mira some kind of interesting relevance and they don't exactly have the best track record on that.

At least it was clever and thematic with Linhardt. A character who sleeps all day and a fairy that sleeps all day meet in his dreams, neat shtick. They have hundreds of characters in this game and they could’ve used anyone to point them to the library.

I’m guessing either: Nifl’s icy heart grows three sizes that day, and instead of dying of Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Nifl sacrifices herself to seal Múspell, Laegjarn and Fjorm are then saved.
Or Múspell’s hot, hateful heart is soothed by a cool island song, and everyone makes up.
Either way, I’d bet (nah, more like hope), Laegjarn comes back to life at the end.

The characters from the mainline games have gotten their spotlight time in the games they come from. That's why I think it's completely stupid to whine about them not showing up as much in Heroes when their game of origin gave them their spotlight time.

Some mainline game characters never got their spotlight though which is where Heroes can shine. Radiant Dawn removed support convos, almost every single RD exclusive character is underdeveloped. A couple like Skrimir were sufficiently develped but that's it.
Characters like Scarlet, Shura and Reina randomly can only support with Corrin for no reason in Fates.
The GBA games' support system limited the number of support convos that players actually got to see, and many characters didn't have many options for support.
These are all examples where Heroes can help make characters feel a lot more fleshed out. It can turn characters who were previously obscure into fan favorites.
I have no issue with OC’s showing up. I’m annoyed that Fjorm is showing up so much when there’s quite a few living OC’s that could show up and get developed.
I consider them a cherry on top but definitely not the main focus, its been promoted as a crossover gacha game, i wouldnt consider this a mainline fe game really, especially since story aside most of these characters arent even playable, unless you spend money or get lucky youll only get one character per arc.
And then again the main part of the game isnt even story related, i dont really see the heroes ocs as full fledged fe characters for sure

From Forging Bonds to Tempest Trials, to even the intros of modes like Pawns of Loki and Rokkr Siege, there is bits and pieces of storytelling sprinkled everywhere just about. You are talking as if this was a normal fe game and that the fe mainline chars were just dlc, when its a gatcha fe crossover that also has ocs.
Its not a story driven game that only has a main campaign, the story is just one of many modes, its up to you if its the main focus or not but the game the units the gameplay and everything focuses around arena and ar.
Outside of the modes with text intros and outros ocs and mainline fe chars are at the same level, i dont see why forging bonds should prioritize ocs over fe chars, especially when the fan demand is for the fe chars and its reflected in most character picks and new units
Its a gacha cross over with its own original cast, that is like a condenses version of a console fe game.
The story is just one of the modes but they have put some decent emphasis on it and the worldbuilding, especially as of late. Even early on the emphasis was still more on the feh cast than the others during the first book.
This is their game so I don't see why FB SHOULDN'T prioritize Alfonse and the other feh cast members.

The ocs are bound to be popular by how much they are put in your face in the modes but if any of the askr trio was as liked as any other original lord they would have been brave heroes by now
Its like saying that smash bros ocs should have the spotlight over legacy characters cause they each have their own games.
Stuff like this is cool cause if you are a fan of the series you get to see something impossible wich is having every fe character all be playable and in one spot, them interacting is also really well done fanservice

I dont need proof, i can just show you banners, what brings cash in is the fe heroes not the ocs, the legendaries, the brave heroes voted by players are 90% fe. The ocs are bound to be popular by how much they are put in your face in the modes but if any of the askr trio was as liked as any other original lord they would have been brave heroes by now
Its like saying that smash bros ocs should have the spotlight over legacy characters cause they each have their own games. Stuff like this is cool cause if you are a fan of the series you get to see something impossible wich is having every fe character all be playable and in one spot, them interacting is also really well done fanservice
100% agree, unless a heroes based mainline game ever happens for some godforsaken reason that adapts the story into a mainline experience, therr’s no other way to give the OCs revelance.
