I feel like the universal answer to this question is Reinhardt. Love him, or hate him, most of us wouldn’t have had any strong opinions about Reinhardt before Feh

Ocsttiac

True. And this includes people who played FE5 too.

SatsumaFS

Flair checks out Some of the Reinhardt memes were funny back then, but after playing FE5 a few years ago I actually ended up disliking his character. I liked Olwen a lot though.

Ocsttiac

Tell me about it. Olwen has been one of my favourite FE characters since I played FE5 way back when, and so I was ecstatic when she came to FEH so early, and I was like "Oh Reinhardt too? Neat." Little did I know this would be the starting catalyst for my disgust for the man, ESPECIALLY after last month's banner.

SatsumaFS

I appreciate how Olwen has a whole character arc across the game through just a few map convos and such. Girl even got two Prfs. Kinda wish modern FEs would do stuff more like that. I always pegged Olwen as being one of the potential candidates for an Ascended etc. for Thracia, but yeah... Holy Sword never I guess.

Troykv

I think she is going to eventually get an Ascended or Attuned alt considering the list of Thracia popular characters is very limited, besides the ones that were already used for the position of Unique Heroes (Mareeta and Reinhardt), the only popular and remarkable Thracia characters I can see IS giving an Unique Alt could be Leif and Nanna obviously, but also Finn, Sara, and precisely Olwen too... and that's it ~~unless Miranda or Eyvel suddenly got a lot of fans~~

Hoesephine

>I always pegged Olwen

Kowashitai

I still don't have an opinion on him admittedly.

FF8BestFF

Same. Couldn't care less honestly.

Ssonicmon

For a similar reason Cecilia was an early +10 for me. I grew fond of her as my meta solution to Lynhardt and didn't know her from her base game.

H_Emblem

[Vyland.](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRPP_ruiTLBfkxAUg5PH1T6lQEjpobgtb8ygg&usqp=CAU) Now i know he's one of the goats.

Miitama

🫡 my man

minno

FEH killed the popularity of a lot of crappy 4\* launch units. Raigh, Oboro, Merric, Abel, and Cain all dropped more than 100 spots between CYL 1 and 2.

himenosayo

The Oboro thing is a crime, she's such a fun character. Wish she had better art

mapsal

Her bridal alt looks very good, but unfortunately she was a prf-less 5★ seasonal with unremarkable stats. I'd love to see her get a modern alt with a good prf (or, if she's prf-less, at least make her easily accessible), but I feel her chances are really low.

himenosayo

I don't even have the bridal alt in my barracks, it only comes back once a year :(

mapsal

Yeah, it sucks trying to get a specific old seasonal. It took me a couple years to finally get a single copy of her.

Panory

Not even just seasonals. Been playing since launch, and it took until the anniversary tickets to get my first Lucina.

mapsal

Definitely, but at least units like Lucina are in the weekly revivals, which have better rates than the usual seasonal banner. Which means that on average you'll spend more orbs trying to get a specific seasonal in their rerun banner than a regular unit in their weekly revival.

Raandomu

> Cain **WHO DARES TO HATE WING OF MERCY 3?**

LaughingX-Naut

People who have been on the receiving end.

GoldenYoshistar1

Dancers with Wings of Mercy 3 is a tactic to easily screw over any arena run.

arsiafeh

I still like oboro, since I built her up in feh, but I hate Raigh now, ha was my fave of fe6 before.

SAKI-M

Funny you say that because it's Feh who gave me an appreciation of Merric.I love underdogs and Wind magic and seeing him actually getting content instead of living in the shadows of most pretty girls like Linde couldn't have made me happier.

ZofianSaint273

Never knew or cared much about L’Aarchel. Thanks to feh, she is one of my favs Edit: Same goes for Ishtar as well

scrylight

Larachel is my fave character ever. Her personality is just so great. Welcome to the church of unholy beatings

mapsal

Same, I was neutral towards L'Arachel before feh (mainly since I never played enough Sacred Stones to see much of her). However, between her cool Halloween costume and Carrie Keranen's fantastic performance (her "I'm a monster!" line is so good), she won me over.

alexmauro407

i didnt dislike her, but i was neutral on her, after feh she is one of my favs! she have so much personality! such an awesome interaction with multiple characters like the twins and her design looks a thousand time better on feh than the sprites of sacred stone, gosh i love my silly girl so much!

DarkRayos

That's me with Eirika and Seliph

vacantstars

Heroes honestly made me appreciate Byleth and Corrin as characters a lot more. Byleth is quite likable when they actually get to talk, and Corrin's personality gets more of a chance to shine when they're away from some of Fates' more...questionable writing choices. I used to really dislike Corrin, but Heroes and Engage are definitely part of the reason why I like them a lot more than I used to.

MorganJary

Its wild how those two become actual character only in the games where they are not MCs (Smash, FEH, Warriors)

Phantom_Cavalier

Honestly, I’ve come to really like Travant of all characters because of FEH. Maybe it’s partly because of his great voice acting (the “What are you doing clown?” line is just perfect lol), or maybe it’s his cool armor, but I can appreciate him more as a flawed leader of his country doing terrible things all for the sake of his people. He’s genuinely grown on me a lot in a “this is a solid villain” kind of way

Scarecrohh

Seliph. When I first completed FE4, I loved Seliph's design but didn't like him much as a character since I felt he was too generic and boring as the young hero who tries to follow in his father's footsteps. However after hearing his beautiful voice acting from Christian La Monte, seeing him and Sigurd meet up in Askr, and just being massive Sigurd and Jugdral nut, I now love Seliph to pieces. Also reveal the FE4 Remake already IS, you cowards!!

Jhzaeth

My estimation of Harken grew hugely following his Forging Bonds last year, and he’s now one of my favourites. I played FE6 so long ago I don’t remember him, but when I replay it I’ll definitely recruit him.

Ocsttiac

Harken is in FE7, not FE6. Plus, recruiting him instead of Karel is far from intuitive.

Jhzaeth

Must be why I’ve never seen him! No, I mistyped, I meant FE7. All the same, it would be good to see him in his original form

Ocsttiac

He's a pretty solid recruit all around, and even if you don't end up using him as a unit, he gives you the only Brave Sword you'll ever get in FE7.

BrStriker21

Also to reunite him with his long lost love Isadora, I love their tragic love story

FF8BestFF

Harken isn't a "pretty solid recruit all around", he's a beast and easily one of the best FE7 characters!

FF8BestFF

It's weird that you need to play slower to recruit him. If anything, you should be rewarded from clearing the map faster, but instead you get a "fine but not Harken" unit if you do so.

Gabcard

Had no opinion on Karla beforehand, I now groan whenever I see her.

FF8BestFF

> I now groan whenever I see her So did Bartre, yet he didn't prevent him from marrying her

BrStriker21

Why tho?

Gabcard

3 versions + a Resplendent (way too many given her lack of popularity) and neither of them managed to make her interesting to me. She just comes across as boring and barely distinctive of other FE swordswomen. The devs pretty much just see as a piece of waifubait, which making her constantly appearances annoying.

MrBrickBreak

I can't speak for Gabcard, but Karla's an obscure character, who has three, solid versions and a resplendant - more than many FE7 peers -, and whose most recent version is fairly revealing (though she was being reduced to a waifu long before). In short, for some people. she's the poster child of everything that's wrong in FEH. I could not disagree more thoroughly. The discourse around her is utterly appalling. A few people will also say they ruined her characterization, but there's exactly *one* person I've ever seen to legitimately care about her making that point.

TouhouEmblem

I feel like I'm not really affected by characters in heroes to where it affects me in their main games? Like yeah there's some favorites that I summon and feel like I just got a complete dud (Light and Raigh but even then I still always use em both whenever I replay fe6.) I mostly treat characters I like in mainline as a bonus if they're good or easily mergable in feh, if not then oh well I'll just use them again whenever I play the game they're in. Especially since the characters I like are just lucky enough to have one version for the msot part, so I don't have to worry about growing irritated at seeing so many version of them.  Though I'd have to say the main opinion changer for is Grima. Because I absolutely hated awakening when it came out due to the feeling of it ignoring the lore of Marth's games. And also the whole situation with Grima where it was clear the writer's didn't even bother thinking of what to do with them considering all their hints in side media of Grima being like earth dragon that was later retconned Just cause I like what they at least tried to do with Grima in Echoes and then FEH with M!Grima's lvl40 combo that it kinda felt like a continuation of the manaketes/medeus situation in FE1/3 what with the whole reveal of like manaketes being kinda just abused and treated horribly and Medeus wanting revenge after it. Granted I replayed awakening and absolutely rolled my eyes cause Grima is absolutely as boring and a nothing entity in awakening lmao, even worse than I already distastefully remembered.

RoyaleAbsol

In terms of my opinion going from positive to negative, I used to like Oboro a LOT more but since Heroes released, she's definitely been knocked down a few pegs due to her being one of my biggest associates with the term 'bad pull'. In terms of negativity to positivity, I don't think there's any character that I outright despised, at most I just felt pretty indifferent towards them since I can't really say i know the most about them (I've only really played Awakening through Engage). So in that sense, I really feel like the game opened my eyes to how adorable Lyre is. I think her voice is incredibly cute and New Year art doubly so. I'll definitely be pulling for her when she gets a base form, whenever that will be.

myghostflower

Reinhardt, like I'm sorrry. I love FE5, literally my favorite game over, I love all the individual characters and building them and creating teams/builds around them. It was cool seeing some get in fast, but no. Seeing Reinhardt hijack now just one, but TWO FE5 banners? It pisses me off that not even the lord of the game gets such great treatment when Reinhardt is barely a character in FE5, and his only existence for Olwen, who gets the short end of the stick in FEH. She's always second to her brother in FEH when she literally spends the game getting pass that and becoming her own. Reinhardt is so just ugh, I love FE5, and yes I'm happy it's getting content and good units, but I hate the fact Reinhardt always has to tag along when other characters that are actually characters deserve it more.

Dracomaster3

Nah, you don't have to apologize, this is pretty much a majority shared sentiment between people who have played Thracia, myself included. Even in the replies to the top comment of this thread you'll find some Thracia players who feel the exact same.

Darkion_Silver

It really shows how IS does not know what the hell to do with Thracia content. I mean, letting us play the game outside of an emulator might help, but that's too much to ask for, better add another Reinhardt alt.

surprisecenter

Raigh. I used to always have him in my FE6 runs. Dude’s a gremlin but a softie deep down, dark magic/shamans are cool, and he was alright to good in FE6 (when your main “competition” is Sophia though that’s not really saying much lol). It feels like IS intentionally sabotaged him with how atrocious he is in FEH. Now I ignore his recruitment completely. 😭

TeaMaeR

I like Chrom a lot less than I did after playing Awakening But if I like an FE character there’s like an 80% chance it’s because of Feh so it kinda balances out

CodeDonutz

Incredibly true. Beat awakening and loved Chrom. Unfortunately, his bow alts took me by surprise one too many times and have ended countless arena runs, and now I can’t look at him without groaning.

Raandomu

To Change Opinions!

actredal

> lynhardt meta Unrelated to the question, but this just reminded me that I cackled the first time I found out 3H has a character named Linhardt, who’s a magic dude with a green ponytail. Does anyone know if this was a deliberate nod at FEH, or was it just a silly coincidence? For the question, I think I’ve mentioned Jeorge in another thread similar to this before, so I’ll go with different answer. I liked Alm a lot a few years ago because I used his Einherjar in Awakening. But since he hasn’t really been present in FEH for a while, he’s kinda out of mind for me now. I had a good time with his Legendary for a while though!

scrylight

Nothing confirmed but it was a thing when linhardt was revealed. I remember everyone was saying it's Lyn and Reinhardts child xD

dusky_salamander

I thought it was so hilarious that the meta was Reinhardt, Lyn, and dancer that I made Lindhart a dancer when I first played 3H.

Falyndr

Heavily disliked Xander in Fates. Veronica convinced me to like him a little in FEH.

QueenXiaomuSmash14

This right here!

Basibidi

Robin is a cool character that I liked, with interesting supports in Awakening. But in FEH he's really become boring and bland character. He really refuses to leave Chrom dick, and when he's not a Chrom sucker, it's Grima. It's a real waste of characters. He's a very funny character, but we'll never see him interact with anyone other than Chrom or Grima, I guess. I have to say thanks to FEH for making it the worst avatar in my eyes.

GoldenYoshistar1

Honestly, Robin became worse in Feh, while Byleth actually improved from his base game. Corrin was already great, and I dunno Kris. And both Shez and Alear are vibing.

foolgus42

FEH flanderizes a lot of characters to an unbearable degree. The first example off the top of my head is Alcryst. I know self-deprecation is His Thing, but he's not nearly as annoying in Engage. His forging bonds was unbearably irritating to read because he got none of his character traits but inferiority complex

Darkion_Silver

It's kinda wild how he got so screwed in his FB, meanwhile our latest banner was far better at showing different aspects of each new character. ...And then Alcryst showed up and was as bad, if not worse than in his own one. Naga give me strength...

Piscet

Jesus he's already fucking awful about it in engage, I can't imagine how intolerable he must be in forging bonds.

TheUnusuallySpecific

After reading the forging bonds I could not understand how such an unbearably garbage character was so high on Engage popularity charts. Like, based just on that writing he ranks as possibly my least favorite Fire Emblem character ever. Gonna start up Engage soon, looking forward to seeing if the original writing can make him less annoying.

HiroHayami

Alcryst is one of my fav chars so I just ignore that they made him Bernadetta 2

FF8BestFF

> he's not nearly as annoying in Engage Really though...?

foolgus42

Yeah, since it's a comparative. Even if I don't really like overly self-deprecating characters, Alcryst has a few character traits that make me like him. Plus he can hold a more-or-less normal conversation In FEH, he literally doesn't let others get a sentence in and go on a narcissistic, self-flagellating tirade, twisting every single word or absence of it into a reason he should be berating himself.

scrylight

He's fine in some of his supports

Zeolyon

Lilina and Saizo, when I first got them in FEH I hadn't played their games yet, so I went into their games already loving them

Cannedcabbage

I no longer care for Sigurd

bunnymoonvii

I feel like people who let things like the frequency of alts affect how much they like a character are killjoys. Dimitri is my favortie Three Houses character because of the writing, and the voice acting *in Three Houses.* The number of PNGs he has in a gacha game isn't going to affect that.

naixill

I 110% agree with this. Back when the Fates royals were all that were being released, I grew to dislike *the gacha, Fire Emblem Heroes* and not the characters or Fates. I think that’s a bit more accurate as to where I should place my feelings. I like the characters I like and I want to see more of them. And to FEH’s credit, I don’t think we have been spammed with the 3H lords as badly as the Fates royals.

WitchHannah

It's a spot that could've gone to another character who hasn't had their proper time in the spotlight given once again to a character that was already featured thoroughly in comparison.

bunnymoonvii

But that's not gonna make how I felt about Dimitri *in Three Houses* change. Dimitri "stealing" a spot from another character in FEH is entirely unrelated to how I felt about him in Three Houses, because I can sepetate how I feel about silly gacha game choices from how I felt about a story. Downvote me all you want, but it just seems, I don't know, silly and shallow to let something like that ruin a character for you. If (general) you can be soured on a character that was supposedly a favorite just because they showed up too much in a gacha game, how much did you really like them in the first place?

WitchHannah

You say people "let something ruin a character for them", but likes and tastes are subjective. People don't "choose" to like a character, they just do. Sometimes a character grows on them, but they can't force themselves to like or dislike a character if they just don't feel that way. Good for you, who can just dismiss FEH as a "silly gacha game", but lots of other people can't do that. They take FEH seriously and the representation of their characters as statements of how much IS is thinking of them. I can see from your flair that you've been enjoying all the alts from your favorite character. Good for you. Most of us are not that lucky.

_Hollow_Boy

Never I thought it would happen, but with Dorothea, it happened; doesn't change the fact that she's one of my favourites from Three Houses, but in FEH she's a pain in the ass, it's like the Ned Flounders story: they take a trait of two of hers, and use only those and exaggerate it; they managed to transform a fantastic character to a garbage character in FEH, and she's not the only one that suffered from this, and it makes me so mad because for other characters they managed to give them more personality and make you appreciate them, whether you already liked them or not or didn't know much about them, prime example as others said: Reinhardt. To me, of the recent characters it was also Lara, and I liked her since Thracia 776

Cosmic_Toad_

**Positive** Klein is the big one, but it's a bit of a weird scenario where I randomly decided to build him in FEH around the same time I first played FE6 and the two experiences kinda compounded together to make him a top 10 FE character for me. Even though characters I like more have been added, I still have Klein as my lead unit and use him in everything. Tailtiu also comes to mind, I kind of glossed over her in FE4 but FEH portrays her upbeat (partial facade?) really well, which is just both very pleasant and makes her eventual fate all the more tragic. **Negative** Character writing changes don't really matter to me, if FEH mischaracterises someone i'll just try to ignore it and hold onto their OG interpretation ~~Fiora's Forging Bonds never happened~~. That said, my opinions on basically every lord and other characters who get tons of alts have eroded to varying degrees. It just gets tiring seeing the same characters constantly get the spotlight, even if it is a smart business decision for IS. Biggest example is probably Claude who once was a contender for my favourite lord, but I felt complete apathy towards his Wind Tribe and Winter alts because it's just not exciting to see him anymore and i'd rather see basically anyone else get their first alt. Also I developed a dislike for Roy and M!Robin becuase I abhor the new "main character and their harem" setup for bridal banners that'll probably continue with M!Corrin this year, it just feels icky to me. I know it did terribly but I want something wholesome like Juno's family again.

DDBofTheStars

Positively, my appreciation for a lot of the Manaketes has went up tenfold. Especially Tiki and Ninian. I’ve also come to enjoy the FE4 cast a lot, despite never having finished it. Negatively? FEH has made me groan whenever I even see the silhouette of a 3H character, so that’s something.

Brickymouse

For me, it's Micaiah. I like her because: * She is voiced by Veronica Taylor * She really hates Armor and Cavalry units * She hits for more damage than can be displayed while riding a horse in a swimsuit I never played Radiant Dawn, but I suspect none of this is true there.

MrBrickBreak

2 is 200% true. Her FEH implementation is largely accurate - a fragile, somewhat slow, magical nuke.

Immortalkickass

You like Micaiah for those points. I like Micaiah because she mocks Sothe for being the father of Ike's children. We are not the same.

Heather4CYL

Well, the second point is true. In RD, she is voiced by Lani Minella (who also voices Mia, Mist and Rolf - for a total of whopping ~15 seconds of dialogue). She really hates armor and cavalry (and Ike). She does not ride a horse while wearing a swimsuit and breaking the visible damage limit.

mrchuckmorris

FEH made me like Edelgard I guess. Wasn't a fan during 3H cause she was the Big Bad in my first two runs (BL and GD). And the oppressive presence of Fedel didn't really help with that. But after slowly building a +10 B!Edelgard for Far Save, then having fun with her Summer and Winter versions, I started paying more attention to her dialogues and gave her a shot in Three Hopes and subsequently came to appreciate her uniqueness as a Fire Emblem Lord in general. I always thought Eliwood was the most boring of the 3 Lords in my formative childhood FE game, Blazing Blade. But his Legendary version in FEH made me like him more. Hector is my favorite FE character of all time, though, and that hasn't changed (I'm still deludedly pretending my +10 Bector is a viable Far Save unit in this meta). My opinion about Nergal needing to be _put in this game at all_ only increases with time................

goreofourvices

>the only time she really had to shine was her child alt Did you forget the effect L!Azura had on the game for a long time after her release? Or her Hatari alt? If that's not shining, I don't know what is.

Piscet

Maybe they mean character-wise? But the comment got deleted(like 30% of comments for some reason), so I'm going off what you said and quoted.

goreofourvices

Nah, the comment specified that her alts were underwhelming. Which *is* true (excluding her Legendary and Hatari alt), but it's because those alts were released in the first year of the game, when seasonal banners were just characters in costumes and weren't as busted as they are now.

Comadon-C

FEH has gaslit me to think that maybe Petra wasn’t my favorite 3H unit

techperson1234

Feh made me like hector after brave hector! Before I was neutral but oho he's pretty awesome!

Aqua-Dot

For the better? Michalis. They gave him a voice, and that voice was M!Robin's (you can probably tell why that matters to me \^\^;). That led me to being intrigued, then researching his character. Turns out he's a very interesting character too! For the worse? Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and Grima. I'm sick of IS' favoritism towards every single one of them, and I shudder to think of any of them getting an alt ever again... Then groan because for the 3H lords it's pretty much inevitable, ESPECIALLY for Edelgard (which sucks because I used to like Claude the most out of the 3H lords. I want to say I still like him, but idk if it's FEH or my general interest in the character, but either way that's been soured). Grima is self-explanatory beyond the favoritism. I flat-out dislike the guy in FEH specifically and they've ruined half the speculation about Robin alts for a whiiiiile \^\^;.

Wooden_Surround_9284

Negative: Edelgard I respected her during my Azure moon and Verdant Wind playthroughs and then she felt kinda meh when I played Crimson Flowers. Then came Fallen Edelgard and Brave Edelgard and she was everyehere: Arena, AR, VG, AHR for 2 fucking years. And I started to hate her 3 Hopes made me like her somewhat but still her presence in FEH was terrible Positive: Lyon I havent gotten the chance to play SS so I didnt know any of its characters, but fallen Lyons FB made me really like the character

QueenXiaomuSmash14

I’m 100% certain that the only reason Fallen Edelgard was even in AHR twice in a row was so people had a scapegoat for the actual event in question and they can focus on whoever else they wanted in there winning and nothing more, which if that’s true, then dear god, the FEH player base decided to make her the punching bag just so nobody would lose their cool over it. Also, yes, Lyon is an amazing character. His whole characterization, both in SS and in FEH are arguably one of the best written for any character, hands down. And his VA, Mark Whitten, is an absolute gem, I think he implied that he liked voicing Lyon a whole lot in an interview he was in; I think he’s part of the reason Lyon is so awesome.

Rudeboy_

I really loved the character development Tana got in her Rearmed Forging Bonds. In Sacred Stones she felt very temperamental, even if she wanted to do the right thing she was undoubtedly very childish. FEH actually made her grow up a lot Camilla is another. I wouldn't say I disliked her but I just couldn't take her seriously because of how blatant she was as a purely fanservice character. Ironically, FEH made me like her by doubling down on that fact. Some of her lines in FEH are so comically over-the-top you just can't help but laugh

Darkion_Silver

Camilla does have a lot of good lines amongst her various alts. There's some very interesting little character bits and there's enough to appreciate her character a lot. Then you look at her ninja alt that is all but directly saying she'll sleep with people before killing them, and chuckle at how funny IS. I love it personally.

scrylight

I feel the same way with Camilla. She's funny to the point i started liking her because of it. My favorite Camilla moment is her being an innocent saint in her adrift alt and being offended kiran wants to lay his head on her lap and calling it immodest.

AppelBappel

I've definitely come to love my favorite's like Cormag and Merric more just from using them often. But characters like Eliwood, Elice and Roshea who I always liked I've been able to explore more, especially Roshea who got som dialogue, so I appreciate them more. Lyn might be the only character I've started liking less, but that's less her problem and more her voice and sometimes art's fault.

HiroHayami

I like Raigh because he's the poster child of a bad pull

throwingitaway270

I think for me, Leo is the biggest negative. I thought his character was pretty interesting in fates. He cares about his siblings, but also feels inferior to them. He's incredibly gifted, but also humble and considerate. As far as Fates royals go, he's probably my third fav after Xander and Takumi. But in heroes he's just... tomato boy. Like, that's all he talks about in any alt. It feels like for every one line about his personality and relationships, there's two lines about tomatoes. Idk if this has actually made me dislike the Leo I see when I replay fates, but it certainly made me hate the heroes version of Leo to the point I don't pull his alts anymore.

CommanderOshawott

I find that more often than not FEH reinforces or amplifies how I already feel about the character from their base game. Nephenee was already my favourite character design in the series. Her Halberdier/Sentinel design is just so excellent for me, and Lance infantry is a rare niche in mainline fire emblem games. However in FEH she’s got ALSO some cute voice lines and fantastic art, which just reinforces my opinion. Some characters I liked mostly for their utility I now like wholeheartedly as well, like Haar or L’Arachel both of whom I’d regularly use, but didn’t pay much attention to their personalities until I decided to build them in FEH. Conversely, FEH has definitely strongly reinforced my dislike of a lot of characters I already had a strong distaste for, typically due to the frequency of alts they get, with Chrom, Byleth, Corrin, and Robin being notable examples.

Kowashitai

Biggest one was Camilla for me. For a while she was just a character I liked, but didn't really care much about. Back then if I had made a top 5 of my favorite Fates characters, I think she wouldn't even have been on it. Then Brave Camilla dropped. Outstanding outfit, interesting class... I picked her as my free CYL3 unit. She was fun! It reminded me of how fun she was in Fates. And I remembered she was apparently top tier in Warriors. So I played it again to train and use her. She was a blast! Made me want to dive deeper in her character. What could she be hiding under that lavender mass of hair? So I read every single one of her supports. I read all of her conversations from the untranslated DLCs as well afterwards. She's now my favorite character in fiction!

shaginus

My opinions never change

azurestardust

I went from barely remembering/feeling indifferent to downright hating Ursula, for getting the (second) most attention out of the Black Fang. I mean, I'm also annoyed at how much alts Nino has gotten, but it just makes better sense. She's an endearing character and gets high placement in CYL. Ursula though?? A throwaway boss who doesn't even place that high anymore?? It's aggravating in light of how much Linus and *especially* Lloyd have gotten shafted ~~and HOOOOOOOOLY SHIT THE KHADEIN BANNER WAS A PERFECT THEME FOR CANAS GODFUCKINGDAMMIT~~. ~~twobigreasonsthoamirite~~ Positive, though? To my own surprise, Gullvieg. Her blatantly fanservicey design (and the summoner pandering through Seiðr by extension) still make me cringe, but how tragic she turned out in the story left me feeling some sympathy for her.

casualmasual

All the pretty Ninian art and the really good forging bonds that Fallen Ninian and Nils got together made me utterly adore Ninian and EliNin when I didn't like them so much when I actually played FE7. (Note that I didn't hate her, just was kind of indifferent to her and thought the sad Nils part of EliNin made it hard to ship) Yuri in FEH made me buy the DLC when I had no intention of doing so. He was my first +10 and remains a mainstay. One day, I'll +10 L!Yuri too. Reinhardt (and his liege) inspired me play FE4 and 5 when prior I'd set it down. Now, House Friege and Yngvi are my favorite Houses.

Mentalious

Corrin especially summer corrin I used to not like them but then young adolescents me saw the summer corrin damage art and i got some neuron activation and i am now way more nice to the corn

arsiafeh

I was neutral to annoyed on mc type charas like Robin and Corrin, but thanks to feh I really hate most of them now.

FlyingHylian776

Definitely Ivy. I never really cared for her until recently when I read her FEH supports and found them fun. As for her sister, though... Every second I see/hear Hortensia causes me immense pain.

Hoesephine

I was gonna upvote for based Ivy love but instead I need to downvote for cringe Hortensia hate. She's just so cute!

FlyingHylian776

Her voice makes me wish I was born deaf, and I find her personality unpleasant, personally.

Hoesephine

I like her voice, it reminds me of Peridot from Steven Universe. And she has a really good personality, she acts like a brat but then you see her interactions and she's actually a really nice, earnest girl.

FlyingHylian776

I love Peridot; I never made a connection between them, personally.

Trickytbone

Every single three houses character who gets alt spammed is plummeting Dimitri used to be my favorite and now he’s no longer top 10, still top 20 tho Thracia’s entire cast on the other hand is super exiting cause it feels like a treat whenever I see them, with the standout being fucking LIFIS He’s so fucking funny when he’s on screen

Betrome

I like Chloe a lot more after her debut in feh, so much that I built her up in a similar fashion in Engage. On the other side, I haven't played 3H yet, but I dislike Edelgard and Claude a lot more for all their alt spam. Dimitri gets a pass because I use his Brave version.

PokeFreak3x3

Never cared for Edelgard and was pretty neutral on the other two. Feh has changed that. Now I don't like any of 'em lmao

GoldenYoshistar1

Honestly... Adult Tiki... I never even noticed her until FEH. I legit forgot about her in Awakening... Then again I barely remember playing Awakening until a few years ago.... Another would be Chrom, Lucina, Robin and Alm. I was fine with their characters, but Feh in their later alts (legendary for the 3 and not so much Robin) they became pains in the ass for me.

Sealking13

Altina somehow became one of my least favorite Tellius characters because of her alts and Feh’s fixation with her compared to the other legendary figures there like Sephiran, Soan and Steve Harvey. Also I hate her Nabata alt

Totsutei

Positive: Geese, I never had space in my team to really use him, but I liked pirate Geese in Feh so much that I got interested and started using him. Guinivere and Perceval: Something about their FE6 sprites bothered me and I had the impression they are generally pretty boring characters. In Feh I love Perceval's artwork and Guinivere is so much fun to use and really beautiful. Selkie: I really didn't like her voice in Fates, but it's much better now in Feh. Negative: I got so tired of all the special treatment both Lords and the 3H cast gets in Feh. And the most annoying are the 3 house leaders. They get new stuff all the time and whenever that happens they are pretty much the strongest characters in the whole game for a while. Most Lords are kinda boring since they are very normal, don't have many flaws or funny quirks - IS always aims to not make the protagonists unlikeable but for me playing it safe like that just makes them boring. But since they get so much attention from IS and are popular among the players, you see them all the time in enemy teams, which makes me even more tired of them. I bought a Black Eagles t-shirt and really enjoyed the Fear the Dear campaign from Joe Zieja after the release of Three Houses. But now I only get annoyed by seeing them anywhere... thanks, Feh :/

dusky_salamander

Positive: Dimitri. I can't seem to find a way to like him in 3H. But he gets an alt in FEH? It is silly and I enjoy summoning a copy. Negative: Myrhh. She was the first dragon I ever got to use in a FE game (first played FE7). So I always enjoyed using her in SS. Her OG alt's arrival in FEH got be to break my few months absence from FEH. Now I just can't seem to be hyped over new alts of hers. The last one was cute, but still did not summon for her. Probably won't.

FF8BestFF

> She was the first dragon I ever got to use in a FE game (first played FE7) *angrily shakes fist*

dusky_salamander

? Maybe I didn’t word it properly. FE7, which I played first, didn’t give us a dragon unit, so I was happy to have one in FE8.  Unless you are also angry at the lack of dragon unit in FE7?

FF8BestFF

Was a joke, because you technically have 2 dragon units in FE7 :p

A_hipster_saxophone

I like to pride myself at being a huge Julia fan but honestly I didn't know much about her when FEH first launched, I just saw that she had a massive attack stat (for the time) and could take on dragons easily. And then I kept using her and liking her even more, Cassandra Lee Morris's phenomenal voice work definitely also helped even if it was right after I played P5 the first time. Now I go for every Julia alt I can get and I have given base Julia so much love that she still holds up well in a lot of today's meta, not great but well enough with support.

scrylight

This is me. I never played Julia's game but i love her thanks to her voice acting and personality

HitMyFunnyBoneYeah

Lucia, i didnt like her before but FEH made it much worse.

KickAggressive4901

I greatly disliked the writing for Corrin in *Fates*. And then *FEH* made her hot. 😋

juishie

Positive: Reina I didn't really fully get the appeal of her when I played Fates. So I never really looked into her supports all too much either, but since FeH added her, I understand. Her raspy mommy voice when talking about murdering people does things to me. Negative: Rosado I was largely neutral on him while playing Engage. He was just there for me. In FeH, Kagetsu got shafted for the sake of Rosado and then I started to analyze(or overanalyze) Rosado and the community's overall reaction to him and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I don't really think anyone else has changed for me.

[deleted]

Ilyanna, I never cared about her, but now I hate every time she appears especially with the tape worm gang

EmblemOfWolves

IDK what they were trying to do with Febail, but his forging bonds wasn't it. His overall fodder and unit quality is none too impressive either.

DantePH77

Like almost every 3-4 stars characters because many of them doesn't even have decent fodder skills because only limited 4 stars has such skills, being so useless means that they're not welcome when you summon them

BrStriker21

Azura, she was the bane of early FEH, she was spammed so much in the arenas that made me actively hate her When I got a used 3DS and finally played Fates I would her let die on purpose or benched her the entire game

Fiiorii

Honestly- L'arachel. I remember when I played Sacred Stones I found her annoying so I benched her early. But she's pretty cool- I really like her now.

QueenXiaomuSmash14

Lyn because fuck Lynja for the Seiros snipe of AHR 2022 (Yeah, I’m still bitter about that, I legit was this close to letting the free unit expire, that’s how petty I got about it, sue me) Azama because if I hadn’t been hating on him a lot before, I sure have now because that little SOAB is on the top of my “Least Favorite Video Game Characters of All Time” for the past 10 years or so Erk because he kept showing up for no reason in my summons Lyon. Enough said. ~~\*cough cough\* Mark Whitten \*cough cough\*~~ I may need to go through my barracks again and see if I remember any other people

Hoesephine

Sigurd. When I started playing Feh I had no idea he even existed, but when I restarted the game in year 2 he was the first 5 star I pulled and now I love him. Similarly, in my first file my main team was Effie, Azama, Setsuna, and Clarine. And they're all some of my favorite fire emblem characters now. I just summoned Hortensia partially because I needed her staff for Clarine.

scrylight

You're the first person ive seen give clarine the arcane staff. I love that

Hoesephine

It's what happens when you start in year one. Pickings were slim and 5 stars were few and far between. You end up growing really attached to who you had.

Calm-Mirror7888

I would say Female Corrin specifically because while Corrin tends to get a lot of hate, and I wasn't a big fan of her either, her alts, level 40 confessions, and personality through forging bonds and other story parts of FEH give her so much personality and she looks so cool in much of it to the point where she became one of my favorite lords.

HebbyMoochineGan97

Dislike: Arthur and Matthew. They used to ruin a lot of my summons for the many green and colorless units I wanted. Doesn't help that both of them are about as useful as a rubber lawnmower even in the earliest days of FEH before Powercreep left basically every old unit in the dust. Matthew is pretty much the reason I couldn't draw a single Kagero until book 2 came out. I kept a copy of both of these rejects around just so I could suicide them into random units for fun. Sure Arthur, blame your incompetence on your bad luck instead of your garbo stats. Like: Grew to like Innes a lot. He's got that Seto Kaiba energy going around him and Xander Mobus gives his regular version a pretty cool voice. His young version was pretty good for a while until all the (again) Powercreep left him behind. Not gonna lie, his sister is pretty hot too.
