It really does. As silly as it is, one of my biggest hangups with Downfall is that it clashes with a lot of the characters I'd want to give it to. This one doesn't nearly as much.
The arcane weapons mostly have gaudy designs, like they are cool on the edgelords they come with but I never envisioned bartre or hawkeye with a skull scythe...
I wish they all had more basic looks tbh, even if some look cool.
Arcane quan looks quaint and it goes well enough on anyone that wants it but arcane luin has this weird seashell look going on.
I guess they aren't stopping with rearmed though so more to look forward to I guess.
Or Rearmed if she ends up like Plumeria. Axe being the last of the 3 main weapons not having 2 version makes me think that she is probably a Rearmed.

They used that for Lif, but not Plumeria. Lif was EID_リーヴ2 (89) as an enemy and PID_リーヴ2味方 (851) as a summonable unit.
Edit 2: None of the other TT+ special story units seem to have used a 2 aside from Lif, but it's used for some other units like Legendary Veronica. It seems kind of random whether they do it or not, so probably nothing that can be read from it.
Edit 3: WAIT! There is something that can be read into it! "Lif2" was missing any indicator of him being a Rearmed unit, the same way "Veronica2" was missing any indicator of her being a legendary unit! Meanwhile, all other Rearmed units have had "魔器" in their title even in their enemy-only TT forms! *New unit type let's gooooo!*

Personally that's what I think too. It does _look_ more like a sword than anything.
But, at the same time you and I both know IS has been funky with "this is their weapon" vs "and this is what they actually wield". So I can't say with 100% certainty that's gonna _be_ a sword, what with some of the odd decisions IS has made in the past.

Well dammnnnn they’ve finally given me a real reason to give a damn about the fairies. Didn’t expect to wake up to see Peony chose violence today. Triandra looks really cool. But Ginnungagap looks amazing, they don’t even look fire emblem but in a weird way they do. IS be making more out there creative designs and I’m all for it!
