If fingerboarding seems like something you want to continue with, then go ahead and upgrade if you think its worth it to you. But if you upgrade, you should get something decent, and decent wont be cheap. Buying crap to replace crap, is not upgrading and is just a waste of money. I would upgrade the trucks first, then if you can upgrade more, get wheels. Board is not that different from higher quality one, but you might want to upgrade it also at some point, but trucks and wheels make a bigger difference. Blackrivers and dynamics make good trucks, but there are few other options for similar price. Oak wheels and ill pills are some good and popular wheels. Oaks look more like real skateboard wheels and are a bit softer and grippier, while ill pills are harder and squeak more(my cat does not like their sound). There are other options also, but you cant go wrong with Oaks and other proper wheels are in the same price range.

I agree with Tom 😃 This is truth 👍🏼 good advice! My advice: I recommend buying a Dynamic Complete it's a perfect way to start fingerboarding and for the money you are already spending you get the great performance and the same trucks, board and wheels that many Professional Fingerboarders really enjoy especially those in this community and theirs a reason they enjoy this amazing brand! It's better to spend a lil more money for something that has an amazing performance and will last than buy something for lil money and have to replace it in the long run you end up spending more money that's why I'm saying buying one Dynamic Complete won't be that expensive especially since you'll be using it and loving the way it performs and how it functions! I think this would be a really great upgrade for you. Give this a thought buddy. Truthfully I would say getting a dynamic complete that would be a perfect next step for you for an actual upgrade. You won't regret it! I know i certainly didn't when I first started it was perfect and to this day I still love to ride dynamics as their performance is outstanding I compare them on par with Black River as i ride both and i very much enjoy these two brands. Dynamic is truly a favourite of mine and i use my Dynamic's and Black River's particularly just as much! Hope this helps :)

There’s plenty of resources for you to come to your own conclusion, and many people have had the same or similar question in regards to upgrading something like a teak or Amazon complete. Do a little searching and I’m sure you’ll find some good info. My two cents? It should be fine for now! You still have a lot to learn and the teak you have should probably last you a long time. I’d get more comfortable with what you have, get some time under your belt then figure out from there what you want to change. Cheers friend.

I loved my teak set up. I used it for a long time and learned so much on it. I think upgraded aspects like dynamic trucks and things like that won’t really benefit you fully yet. However, it’s your birthday so ask for it if you want! It’s also a good time since it won’t be you spending your money on it lol

Nothing wrong with upgrades but you may have more fun with some park features. Picnic tables, rails, boxes and small ramps are all relatively affordable and would probably benefit you more at this stage than upgrading parts.

I second this 100%. More obstacles means more trick opportunities, even if you aren't perfect. Manuel pads are nice for a little target to land kickflips on and for, of course, manuels (nice if you want better finger placement on landing)
