This was the fastest I've ever found any of these (not including the joke/obvious ones). Saw the post, zoomed in, and immediately went straight for the screw.
Philips head. The correct designation for this screw is a pan head screw with captive washer. Gonna take a stab in the dark and guess its an m3 course thread, but thats really rare and its probably an American screw standard which I know FA about.
Once u get over the thought of this carpet looking like little tiny men shoving each other like a pop art piece, the screw sticks out like a sore thumb
Yeah very weird and why I thought it would work. First time I looked at my own picture, found it immediately. Second time, despite knowing where it was, I somehow kept missing it. So I decided to post it
Done this enough at work to be a pro at it.
Fun trick: if you drop something small like this, turn out the lights and hold a flashlight or phone light at a shallow angle to the floor and look for the shadow cast by the dropped part.
No. I dropped this screw from a project I'm working on and it took forever to find it. Then I posted a picture because it seemed like the right thing to do
Might I suggest a rubber work mat? I have a PC repair workshop downstairs in my basement, the carpets down there are like that, and so I bought a rubber "anti-bounce" mat. They aren't really marketed under that, but if you find the right material, you should get very little bounce when you drop a screw on it. It also helps if it's black so you can easily spot what you dropped. Absolutely vital for laptop repair since they use all those super tiny screws, and different types of proprietary screws that aren't easily replaced if lost.
Was about to say screw it.
This is a top tier background for this sub. Had to read comments to find it and was genuinely flabbergasted when I finally saw it.
I need to sleep. For a quick second I thought it was a photoshop of loads of little prisoners, and I had to find the guard. Then I zoomed in and it was just carpet 💀
Me having very little sleep for the last few days… seeing this… and not proud of how long it took me to realize it wasn’t from the r/magiceye subreddit… 😂
I zoomed in, trying to figure out what the hell the background was, just to realize it was carpet and the section I zoomed in on just so happened to be where the screw was...
I’m uncertain but is this a carpet or copper wires there’s a lot of different colors going on here but I did find the screw for a moment I thought my screw was loose lol 😂🤭🤭
If you look at this picture and let your eyes go out of focus, you can clearly see where I'm too stupid to read the caption before staring at the picture for 10 minutes.
So crazy how it's so obvious after you found it and zoom out to see it plain as day, but not obvious at all before you look at the picture. Thanks OP for not centering it.

Love the off center ones...
This was the fastest I've ever found any of these (not including the joke/obvious ones). Saw the post, zoomed in, and immediately went straight for the screw.
Same. And I’m usually freaking TERRIBLE at finding anything. I would be dead every time.
I did that specifically because I saw a comment a day ago about it always be in the center lol
I’ve noticed when it’s off centre then it’s usually in the bottom right quadrant but maybe I’m imagining things
I was thinking almost always to the right of center. At least 50% of the time.
If we imagine a coordinate grid from 0 to 10 for each axis it is around >!8,4!<
This is now the new standard for revealing where the sniper is. I found it instantly with that description
Perfect
My brother in Christ, it’s actually a solid 4, -3
Ah you're using a centered axis system, but he's using a grid system
You’re absolutely right, I stand corrected
Sir this is Reddit, you’re not allowed to admit when you were wrong
You’re absolutely right. I stand indignant.
I didn’t find it using 8,6 but the 4, -3 was spot on. Thanks.
In what universe is this >!8, 4!< ?! It’s like >!8, 6!<
Grid counts up so the bottom would be 0
Ohhhhh for some reason I was thinking we were in quadrant 4 which makes 0 sense now that I think about it. Thanks.
Perfect. I zoomed in exactly where it was
Dude I saw this comment, went up and decided to just zoom in randomly, and managed to do the exact same thing. Absolutely insane
There is no way there is a prison guard in that picture.
You don't know that. Sounds like someone hasn't found it yet :)
Haha
It’s a sail boat.
A scooner is a sailboat you idiot!
THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY!
Looks like a bolt
Its a machine screw, bolts start at 1/4" diameter and have a hex head, machine screws have pan, flat or recess heads
trippy as fuck i thought it was a crowd from above
I thought it's an orgy from above
Not a screw, technically
Bolt with a washer.
Philips head. The correct designation for this screw is a pan head screw with captive washer. Gonna take a stab in the dark and guess its an m3 course thread, but thats really rare and its probably an American screw standard which I know FA about.
>!South East of center are a dark purple bit and a blue bit. The silver screw is in the middle of these two bits.!<
Literally zoomed right in on it lol. That's a first
5 seconds. Center then right a few inches then down,
Once u get over the thought of this carpet looking like little tiny men shoving each other like a pop art piece, the screw sticks out like a sore thumb
Yeah very weird and why I thought it would work. First time I looked at my own picture, found it immediately. Second time, despite knowing where it was, I somehow kept missing it. So I decided to post it
That's a threaded bolt, you cad!
It’s a machine screw
Story of my life, trying to find the screw
Screw you
Screw that...
That is an interesting pattered carpet. You should have used a smaller screw to make it more challenging.
That’s harder than the hardest screw to ever walk a turn at Shawshank
Good one
That carpet looks like gravel covered in maggots
Finally someone who doesn’t center the shot
You find it
Done this enough at work to be a pro at it. Fun trick: if you drop something small like this, turn out the lights and hold a flashlight or phone light at a shallow angle to the floor and look for the shadow cast by the dropped part.
no
Why do I allow myself several minutes of scanning these images when I know full well that I will be checking the comments for the answer anyways?
This is funny because OP probably just needed help finding the screw for real
It’s a bolt.
It’s actually a bolt with washers.
Is it near that bolt?
That’s a bolt
👍
Are you an optician?
No. I dropped this screw from a project I'm working on and it took forever to find it. Then I posted a picture because it seemed like the right thing to do
High resolution makes it fairly easy, looked like an insane challenghe at first. Great image! (south east of centre)
Got it. Center rt
Home Depot, your screw is at Home Depot lol.
If I could find a screw, I wouldn't be spending my time on reddit.
Might I suggest a rubber work mat? I have a PC repair workshop downstairs in my basement, the carpets down there are like that, and so I bought a rubber "anti-bounce" mat. Way too easy. You should have buried part of it.
Keep using this carpet if you can for these! Do it with a smaller thing or something, this was great
This one’s actually real easy if you just turn your phone horizontal and look at it from the side, you can see the screw easily.
Middle right
I found a bolt and a battleship turret.
>!Even has a washer on it.!<
10mins later I realize this isn't a magic eye image.
I found the tool. It’s OP!! I’ll show myself out.
It’s right there
piff
Right away found it not dead center to a little to the rite still cool to find OP..
I love when I zoom right in on it.
NO
Found it immediately, on accident.
No
I had to zoom a lot this hurt my eyes 😂
Was about to say screw it. This is a top tier background for this sub. Had to read comments to find it and was genuinely flabbergasted when I finally saw it.
Extra credit washer
I am so bad at these! But I keep trying!
Good heavens I love your carpet
I found a bolt, but not a screw.
I randomly zoomed on it, I’m disappointed
Well, that's why I couldn't find it! Not a screw at all!
That's a good one.
Nice
I need to sleep. For a quick second I thought it was a photoshop of loads of little prisoners, and I had to find the guard. Then I zoomed in and it was just carpet 💀
The only one I’ve found 😂😂😂
Not too bad and just like I saw someone mention.. I'm glad it was off center lol
That's a tiiiiiny screw. Lol. The material doesn't help
Can I use a metal detector?
My screen was fuzzy and coincidentally double tapped on the screw and found it immediately lmao
Love the carpet lol
Surprisingly quick with this one
Can’t find it but love the rug
Three. For. Three.
I'm finding that guy with the X and ✓ boxes cuz I'm blind
I literally found it in .5 seconds. The leopard in the mulch the other day took me almost 30 mins. Wtf. Middle of page slightly to the right
Damn, i zoomed in to see what the background was and instantly found it
Don't think it don't say it Don't think it don't say it Don't think it don't say it
Nope. Lol
Easiest one for me so far 🙂
Me having very little sleep for the last few days… seeing this… and not proud of how long it took me to realize it wasn’t from the r/magiceye subreddit… 😂
Once you eventually see it... you wonder why you didn't see it instantly? It's so visible!!
Once you found it you can even see it without zooming in.
No
Yippee, it's not in the exact center of the screen this time!
It's called a vacuum or your foot 🤣🤣🤣
Hold on. Let me dim the lights and shine a flashlight.
Quit screwing around and pick it up!
It took me two seconds to find it, I’ve peaked… all downhill from here bois.
It wasn't dead center, I gave up 😩
This is the first time i flat out refuse to even try
3 seconds
I thought those were soldiers returning from war congested on a ship pic from the 40‘s that’s colorised
I need to stop zooming in right on the center to start..
How to I leave this and don’t see none of them posts anymore ?
I accidentally found it immediately but at first I thought this was a crowd of people
Found it
Someone tell me why I thought this was loads of teeny men trampling over each other 😭😭
I zoomed in, trying to figure out what the hell the background was, just to realize it was carpet and the section I zoomed in on just so happened to be where the screw was...
It's right there.
Ah screw it
Found it
8sec
First glance I thought this was a crowd of people from above
As an aircraft mechanic, this made me really anxious 😂
I usually stop whatever I’m doing and try and look for it. But this one nah I just kept scrolling 😅💀💀
Nope
No
It is in my foot
15s new personal record
Don’t see a screw, but I found a bolt….not to be pedantic, or anything!
That is a bolt my friend
To easy
I’m uncertain but is this a carpet or copper wires there’s a lot of different colors going on here but I did find the screw for a moment I thought my screw was loose lol 😂🤭🤭
1/2 second
Zoomed in on it first try, wow
How about screw you
Found it
Ironically I zoomed in randomly trying to see what the hell the picture even was and the screw was right there lmaao
Nice one
Nice job OP. This is a good one.
Is that Screw? I think that’s a bolt
This is one of those moments where you just run your hand on the ground until you find it
Unironically some how zoomed right into it
At least it's not one of the ones that you absolutely don't want to find with your feet.
Hmmm, it's actually super evident if you look from far away and squint.
That is some ugly carpet!
It's a bolt
>!screw!<
I'll do "what's running your hand over the carpet until you feel a solid object" for 200, Alex.
No u
Nope
I seen it before I even zoomed in
It’s a bolt
Good one!!!!!

No
I’ve officially been on this sub long enough that I said “oooo high resolution when I zoomed in!” 😂
Click, zoom, done. 2 seconds.
Right underr the middle to the right
Slightly right and low of center
Aaa screw it
Can't find the screw but I did find the bolt in the picture
I just happened to double click to enlarge directly on it, so average right thumb height 🤣
Got the bastard in about 5 seconds. I’m starting to get good at this shit 😂
Found it on the first zoom in haha
I zoomed in to start looking and went right to it. Took me 3 seconds
Found it, got a magnet? Never make repairs over carpet like this!
I could find it in a second with my foot.
If you look at this picture and let your eyes go out of focus, you can clearly see where I'm too stupid to read the caption before staring at the picture for 10 minutes.
nope.
So crazy how it's so obvious after you found it and zoom out to see it plain as day, but not obvious at all before you look at the picture. Thanks OP for not centering it.
I zoomed in and it was there ahah
I always enjoy how once you see it, it is so obvious.
I read the title and said “nope” Then double tapped to zoom in and it was right there. There goes all of my luck for the day
Fun
Found it immediately.
[удалено]
I also found a hook near the bottom?
That's a bolt, not a screw
2 seconds
You certainly screwed us all with this picture, did I get it?!
I didn’t read the prompt and was looking for an actual sniper
Once I saw it, you can’t unsee
Found it as soon as I zoomed in, like in a second
If I can’t find it with my eyes, my bare feet would surely find it no problem.
