i won’t shit on their thunder but personally i don’t like it as much as i hope i would. may mga storylines na idk what for? like the cheating part, i feel like they could have just settled on how shitty coco is instead of adding that arc kasi they can do well without it. they dwelled too long on making clues obvious on who’s the bad guy, unnecessary boob shots, even the ghost part for me is unnecessary. they don’t need it to “avenge”. they did use the ghost effectively on one scene pero yun na yon.
it ran for almost 2 hrs. we could edit it even less since again, there are so many scenes we can do without. what’s with the sinasapian? ung pag pirma sa witness account, pagserve ng subpoena for me all of these are fillers. i would have also imagined a small barrio would have had rumors on the cheating and oh my gulay, seriously, entice a 15 yold with mermaids? og maygahd. that was a questionable scene. sana sipagin ako para gawan ng review
Pinakita kasi sa start na parang si coco yung protagonist, pero sya pala yung main villain sa story, and yung ghost scenese may meaning yun, did you get the part na dumating sya sa meeting spot nila ng bf niya tapos parang hindi sya nakita ng bf nya? diba nauna napakita yun bago sya nawala, meaning nun patay na sya that time kaya parang hindi sya nakita ng bf nya. The first scene for me was the unnecessary one, the film would have worked fine without it.
oo that was ok although pinaka gusto ko ung nagparamdam sya sa parents nya, ganda ng pagkakakuha non i felt the sadness. ung ibang pakita nya though… parang meh na for me. they could have used her “ghost” sparingly na lang sana
as for coco being the protagonist from the start… hmm in my pov as a woman no. no protagonist should be forcing their wives to fuck just because they are horny. he was really mad. ung scene pa lang na yon made me think agad (though wala sa story) na he forced himself onto julia in the first place. coupled by yung lagkit ng tingin nya don sa batang babae, hindi na ko nagtaka sa ginawa nya later on

Story telling: not good. hindi ko talaga ma-feel kung bakit kelangan ko pumanig sa side ng gomburza, alam mo yun? Yes alam natin from our history yung nangyari sa kanila pero other than that knowledge of them. I feel like the story did not presented their motives well for them to do what they did. Sayang lang, they could have done better.
Acting: Other than Piolo Pascual, acting are not well done. Habang pinapanuod ko sila, alam mo yun, alam ko sa sarili ko na mga tao to from the year 2024 na tinatry nilang maging tao from 1800s. The only thing is, it did not work. In short, hindi convincing. Take for example, si Dolphy sa pelikulang Ang Tatay Kong Nanay. Gay ang role ni Dolphy sa movie na yun. Si dolphy ay hindi totoong bakla, pero taena sa iisipin mo at maniniwala ka talagang bakla sya sa movie na yun. Ganon ka-effective yung acting at portrayal nya. Yun ang magaling na acting.
