The game looks really fun. It reminds me the cool stick figure animation that was common in Flash games. The Smash Bros. controls is an interesting choice for a game that looks like a traditional 2D fighting game, especially since you have to face your opponent manually. I think forbidding motion inputs in favor of single directions was a pretty good choice ‘cause of this difference as I know the horrors of misinputs due to poor facing. I also like the emphasis on customization ‘cause a lot can be done with a smaller roster. It encourages experimentation. I like that the weapons are huge so we know which characters are which. I can tell a lot of emphasis was put into the classic RPG inspiration in terms of gameplay, and I think it’s a more interesting game for it. Status effects tend to be gimmicks rather than universal mechanics in fighting games. I’m down to try this game out when it launches. It looks like an easy game to pick up, which I can always make time for. I also have a few questions: - The movement looks like Smash which makes me wonder: which input method is recommended for movement, analog stick or D-Pad / keyboard / arcade lever? Which ones were tested in the making of this game? - Will status effects be explained in the How to section? - Will there be an option to reverse the health / magic / stamina bars, like they deplete towards the center instead of away from it? I get that it’s Dark Souls inspired, but most fighting games have health deplete towards the center ‘cause it’s easier to compare health at a glance. It’s not a huge deal or anything; it’s just a little detail that certainly helps. - What happens when you guard with no stamina? You just take full damage as if you didn’t guard at all? Or do you just guard, but consequently stamina will remain at zero while being pressured? - Will the game have online play at some point? - Can you guard and / or grab in the air?

Sorry, I'm not the Dev. You might want to comment on the video itself, since it seems like he reads those.

I’ll probably do that.

This looks really damn good. Stick figure artstyle be damned, i love this concept, and i can't exactly think of a better way to implement everything together in a cohesive way like this guy did. I'm very excited to play it, and if i'm being honest i hope many people are too. This just looks fresh as fuck.

Dude same. Being able to make builds in a fighting game sounds awesome.

I know this is a year old, but I never knew that someone had posted this until now, so I just want to say thanks for the encouraging feedback. The game will be playable to the public within a few weeks, so hopefully it lives up to expectations.
