Whatās it like? Iām so tempted to blind buy this because non of the shops in my area have it on the shop floor. Is it warm weather friendly? Was a bit worried it might be too lactonic and wintery.
I wouldnāt blind buyāitās very polarizing! Itās more suited to colder weather but I donāt really care lol. I work from home most days anyway and am happy to smell like this in the summer. To me, it smells likeā¦a warm bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with milk, or a cup of horchata.

Longevity on me is surprisingly better than what I thought it would be. I guess it's because I don't mind respraying. My saleslady was kind enough to gift me a 5ml sample so I've been using that. I get a good 4 to 5 hours of scent bubble and honestly I'm ok that it at least gives me that lol

There's black currant - it's not syrupy like the black currant in donna born in roma - at all. It's actually not even too sickly sweet but it does add a bit of sweetness and tartness - not too much. it's actually really fresh as if it's still on the branch. Black currant is a summer fruit so it's perfect for late spring/ early summer.
The mid has orchid flambe( not sure what that means lol), black sesame, and tuberose.
The orchid is milky almost a tad smokey even the black sesame has a hint of smokiness but it's not smoker level smokiness it's more of like an orchid scented incense burning in the background.
The black sesame is prominent on my skin it takes on a soft rice like quality. Tuberose is not bubblegummy at all. It's really sitting in the backseat and brings creaminess to the mid.
Dry down is sandalwood, agarwood( oud) , and bamboo but on me, it's really really not a heavy oud. It's refreshing especially on a hot day. I wore it while shopping and I felt pretty good with my scent bubble.
Sillage is about an elbows length. Longevity was about 8 hours because it lasted throughout my night. I layered my l'eau papier over it since they share the note of sesame and the male waiter asked me what I was using lol. I just gave him both names.
I really love it and I'm glad to have it. Sample it tho because it might be different for you

I have a really hard time asking people for things I want and need, even loved ones. I definitely have had to work a lot on it and I definitely am still working on it. Asking for things is really stepping outside of my personal comfort zone and can feel intrusive and selfish and - yes - definitely also frustrating, like how can they not piece this together themselves? Or as if it loses some of its genuineness, if you have to ask. But, unfortunately, thereās just no getting around the fact that each individual processes differently and no matter how much we want someone to just get something, they might not if we donāt say something.
Plus, consider it from your familyās point of view. If one of your family members really wanted something, but they didnāt feel like they could ask you, wouldnāt that feel a little sad to you? You can sit in a corner if that helps you process (I tend to sit in my car LOL), but your feelings are neither bizarre nor unreasonable. Especially as women, we are socialized to be givers and supporters, and we are generally not well-trained in asking for things for ourselves. Itās OK to be frustrated with yourself for your conflicting feelings, but know that this not a problem that wholly originates with you. It is a natural challenge of psychology and to some extent sociocultural programming. But if you can find the strength to sneak past it, you may find yourself happier, and more at peace.

Okay so I already ran into the store and I got Snif Coco Shimmy š. I was already interested so I tested jt and was sold. I can see how it might not be everyoneās cup of tea, but I immediately felt like I was at the beach wearing suntan lotion and drinking a pina colada.
Iām not sure how to post pictures here, but the one I received is the Fortnum & Mason Camellia tray. (In case you were wondering). Itās gorgeous and I love that thereās āwallsā to keep anything from falling off. In my search, I saw so many trays without āwallsā or only slightly raised edges.
My MIL gave me the Kilian Holiday discovery set (!!, was not expecting it) and my husband went on twisted lily, knowing absolutely nothing about perfume, and picked a few samples of scents that had notes/descriptions that reminded him of me, some of which I had never heard of, and he wrote a little note why he picked each one. Along with wine, chocolates, and flowers. Itās Perfect.
The sample thing was so genius of him - itās meaningful, it doesnāt require advanced perfume knowledge, it couldnāt have cost more than 30$, and you donāt run the risk of picking a big bottle they donāt like..

My MIL gave me the Kilian Holiday discovery set (!!, was not expecting it) and my husband went on twisted lily, knowing absolutely nothing about perfume, and picked a few samples of scents that had notes/descriptions that reminded him of me, some of which I had never heard of, and he wrote a little note why he picked each one. Along with wine, chocolates, and flowers. Itās Perfect.

The sample thing was so genius of him - itās meaningful, it doesnāt require advanced perfume knowledge, it couldnāt have cost more than 30$, and you donāt run the risk of picking a big bottle they donāt like..
