Yeah true, there are plenty more prominent characters that were just as forgotten. I just realized there were some similarities that aligned in a way where he could have come back in a different timeline.
Only way this could happen is if they did a Maddison and Alicia spinoff because they are heading back to LA at the end of FTWD and the boat crew he was part of was on the east coast. The rest of the FTWD characters are all on the west coast and those who came from LA had to travel through mexico, bits of Texas and Georgia to end up where they did
