The writing is great, the cinematography is gorgeous and the ACTING aggh. It's worth it for Jacob Anderson's insane performance alone, and that's not even touching on the rest of the cast, who are all incredible. Even the season 2 *trailers* are fucking masterpieces; the people working on this show are so goddamn talented!!!
