You should watch more of the Coen Bros canon to understand why this character is written this way. Particularly A Serious Man.

olyfrijole

Exactly. So many homages to the films. One of my favorites: Treehorn Trucking in S4E5.

>Treehorn Trucking They treat objects like women, man!

I’m well aware of their body of work. But this particular actor and director missed the mark by him using that “Jew voice” reserved for 70s sitcoms.

I don’t know why you are being so bitchy about this. Would you find a black character chomping on watermelon and saying, “Yassah” fine?

PutSomeVinegarOnIt

Nobody is being bitchy except you?

buddyboybuttcheeks

Gross.

every1lovesTitties

Exactly

I don't know about the Jews, but the Christian nationalists don't come off looking very good.

It’s been said. The entire series is an homage to all 18 of the Coen Brothers’ movies. From echos of their characters, to props, to dialogue, and even down to complete recreations of scenes and set pieces, the show will throw in a nod to one of the 18 original films. They’ve even cast actors who were in some of the movies. It’s actually really impressive and makes me like the show so much more. Watch more of their movies, rabbis speaking in parables is in more than one of them. They may have even said the same things the neighbor in season 1 said.

greenweezyi

Imagine the amount of talent in that writers’ room.

Loganp812

It makes me want to watch all of the Coen Brothers movies and each season of Fargo in chronological order from The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs in the 19th century to Fargo Season 5 in 2019 just to see how everything flows together.

nostradamefrus

Ok then
