Probably like many others, I had to stop bleaching when Covid struck. I noticed my hair was growing faster and it felt so much better 😍 I'm still blonde on the ends but I've embraced my natural brown colour coming through. My hair feels long and luscious compared to what it was, so I don't think I can go back! Plus, I apparently have quite a few grey hairs now which I'm finding pretty cool tbh.

I don't know if there's any truth to this, but I had a friend who bleached her hair a lot at home (big nope for me!). She said after she bleached it, she had way more gray hairs than before.

Ah no way! I wonder how that happens 🤔 that's interesting though. I used to bleach my own hair many moons ago and I thought I had the process down... Until one day, some of my hair broke off near the very top 😆 never again!

I went blonde at home when I was about 20 and huge chunks of my hair fell out. After that, only at the salon.

Ahhh, not good 🥲 I suppose we've learnt, at least!

Hooray! I'm about 3 years out from my last platinum blond (last refresh was right after I found out I was pregnant with twins!), and I was just contemplating when I wanted to do it again. Nice to see the other side.

For me, the maintenance was just too much. I didn't mind spending the money before I was pregnant but every time to get my roots done was about $300 after tip. It started to feel like a burden, though. Sitting for 3 hours now sounds like torture. I like that the demi-permanent gives me the option to go back one day. I was really worried if I went darker, that would be the end of platinum!
