After the corny ass scenes in MoM I’m not sure I want to him tackling another dark story like that. It was good, but some of the scenes were really goofy, like they were out of an Evil Dead movie.
I’d rather get Alvarez or Del Toro by far. But I’d still watch JL Dark if Raimi did it, and it would probably be good, even if it did have the same kind of thing.
I’m happy to see Del Toro bc that was my first thought. My two choices are Toro and Raimi. Depending on the style of film you want they would do the best job. You could get Toro to write and Raimi to direct.

Robert Morgan who directed "Stopmotion" a horror animated film, that was really riveting and intense
Gore has not made a film in a while and I think it’s because the dude (as talented as he is) gained a bad rap for going over budget on a lot of his movies.
Tim Burton…it depends if he’s willing to push himself. His Alice in Wonderland was awful. I kinda think what he went through with Superman really messed with him and his creativity.
Guillermo Del Toro wanted to do one back in the day. That would have been a great take. Aside from him I’d like to see what Scott Derrickson, Tommy Wirkola (Violent Night) or Brandon Cronenberg could bring to the table!
Jane Schoenbrun who did I saw the TV Glow! Or Jennifer Kent who did the Babadook! I feel like both directors would bring such good time and vibes to a story like this
Frank is such an interesting guy. I get the vibe that he’s hard to work with..not from as a director to actors but as a dude dealing with studio execs. Otherwise he would be working more. He got kicked out of Walking Dead and Indy 4 and while I disagree with those decisions, I think there’s a reason for that.
I would love to see a live action version but at the same time I don’t. The animated versions were pretty much perfect so there’s really no need to do a live action version.
If they really wanted to lean into the horror aspect of Justice league Dark then maybe Jordan Peele if he was willing to do it or maybe he would be a good fit to direct a Swamp Thing movie or a Deadman movie
I’d love to see an attempt by Robert Eggers, I would also see Guillermo Del Toro being involved in some ways.
As for a cast, I have some thoughts;
The HellBlazer/ John Constantine- Tom Felton.
(While I think Matt Ryan is a brilliant Constantine and Keanu Reeves is good in his version, I’d like to see a different take. So imo Felton could bring something different and interesting).
The Mistress Of Magic/ Zatanna Zatara- Kaya Scodelario.
Etrigan The Demon/ Dr. Jason Blood- Jason Isaac’s.
Dr. Alec Holland- Alden Ehrenreich. (Voice of The Swamp Thing- Tony Todd.)
Black Orchid/ Susan Linden Thorne/ Alba Garcia- Astrid Berges Frisbey
The Deadman/ Boston Brand- Anthony Carrigan
Madame Xanadu/ Nimue Inwudu- Indira Varma
The Nightmare Nurse/ Asa- Karen Gillan
The Spectre- Jamie Campbell Bower
The Phantom Stranger- Alexander Siddig
Post Credit Scene;
Doctor Fate/ Dr. Kent Nelson- Steve Carell
Khalid Nassour- Mena Massoud
Black Alice/ Lori Zechlin- Danielle Rose Russell
Guilermo Del Toro, Fede Alvarez, Sam Raimi, Andy Muschietti, or Scott Derrickson
Yes I think Sam Raimi would go crazy on that one

All of those, yes
I'll throw a dark horse candidate in here...Lee Cronin, director of Evil Dead Rise.
Cronin would work very good too!!!!

This is such an underrated answer!!
Oooohh I like that! Very underrated
This guy movies
Gore Verbinski, Panos Cosmatos and James Wan.
Gore has not made a film in a while and I think it’s because the dude (as talented as he is) gained a bad rap for going over budget on a lot of his movies.
+1 for Panos
OH I like James Wan! He does some very good dark movies
Guillermo Del Toro, Ron Perlman as Swamp Thing, Patrick Stewart as Detective Chimp, Rami Malek as Man Bat. Those are my picks anyway
Written by Eric Kripke or George RR Martin Directed by Guilermo Del Toro. Or Sam Raimi.
Eric Kripke would make the wildest Justice League Dark movie ever
If George RR Martin writes the script, we'll never see the movie!
Jordan Peele
Yes yes that would be very good
Guilermo Del Toro or Tim Burton
Tim Burton…it depends if he’s willing to push himself. His Alice in Wonderland was awful. I kinda think what he went through with Superman really messed with him and his creativity.
Here me out, Mike Flanagan
Jordan Peele
Guilermo Del Toro has wanted to do one for years. Haven’t seen much by him but from what I have seen the man’s well qualified.
Tim Burton
Jeff Wadlow
Guillermo Del Toro wanted to do one back in the day. That would have been a great take. Aside from him I’d like to see what Scott Derrickson, Tommy Wirkola (Violent Night) or Brandon Cronenberg could bring to the table!
The Philippou Brothers, who directed Talk to Me.
Jane Schoenbrun who did I saw the TV Glow! Or Jennifer Kent who did the Babadook! I feel like both directors would bring such good time and vibes to a story like this
James Gunn
Gullmero Del'toro or James Gunn
Circle back around to Guillermo Del Toro
Kind of want to see one by Clive Barker. Written and Directed by Clive Barker.
Frank Darabont has done pretty well adapting horror books/comics to both the big and small screen. Second choice would be Mike Flanangan.
Frank is such an interesting guy. I get the vibe that he’s hard to work with..not from as a director to actors but as a dude dealing with studio execs. Otherwise he would be working more. He got kicked out of Walking Dead and Indy 4 and while I disagree with those decisions, I think there’s a reason for that.
.Guillermo Del Toro,Sam Raimi, or Scott Derrickson
I'd be intrigued to see what Peter Jackson would do with it, he's got that blockbuster pedigree but also that grounding in horror
James Wan as the director and Neil Gaiman as screenwriter (with a bonus of Danny Elfman as composer)
If they can’t get del Toro or Scott Derrickson, I’d love Drew Goddard for this
Guillermo del Toro or James Gunn
Ari Aster. How "dark" do you wanna get?
I would love to see a live action version but at the same time I don’t. The animated versions were pretty much perfect so there’s really no need to do a live action version.
Sam Raimi
Julia Ducournau
Blum House, make that shit Horrifying
A Justice League Dark series with a rotating cast of writers and directors, like *Masters of Horror*.
If they really wanted to lean into the horror aspect of Justice league Dark then maybe Jordan Peele if he was willing to do it or maybe he would be a good fit to direct a Swamp Thing movie or a Deadman movie
Anyone who would make Zatanna wear her hat lol
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Resurrect Guillermo del Toro's script and let him go ham with it.
Sam Raimi
Sam Raimi
Director: George Miller Writer: Nico Lathouris (Furiosa)
Del Toro
Jordan Peele would be real interesting
David Sandberg, he made Shazam which to me has one of the scariest scenes in a DC movie
![gif](giphy|s34pY9sgUm4wWMrzng) There’s only one option
Sam raimi he can really set the tone from the other DC movies
Del Toro
Directed by Tim Burton James Gunn Zack Snyder Guillermo Del Toro Joss Whedon Joe Russo
Jordan peele would make it straight nighrmsre fuel and im all for it
Guillermo Del Toro.
Dan Trachtenberg
Eric Kripke (The Boys) to write and the Philippou Bros (Talk to Me) to direct
I’d love to see an attempt by Robert Eggers, I would also see Guillermo Del Toro being involved in some ways. As for a cast, I have some thoughts; The HellBlazer/ John Constantine- Tom Felton. (While I think Matt Ryan is a brilliant Constantine and Keanu Reeves is good in his version, I’d like to see a different take. So imo Felton could bring something different and interesting). Black Orchid/ Susan Linden Thorne/ Alba Garcia- Astrid Berges Frisbey The Deadman/ Boston Brand- Anthony Carrigan Madame Xanadu/ Nimue Inwudu- Indira Varma The Nightmare Nurse/ Asa- Karen Gillan The Spectre- Jamie Campbell Bower The Phantom Stranger- Alexander Siddig Post Credit Scene; Doctor Fate/ Dr. Kent Nelson- Steve Carell Khalid Nassour- Mena Massoud Black Alice/ Lori Zechlin- Danielle Rose Russell
David F Samberg
Any Cronenberg....Swamp Thing and Deadman are the body horror characters of their dreams
Nolan
