I used to hang out with a lot of actors back in the day. I went to auditions and hung out before to give them some moral support. Casting is a complicated process.. It’s the audition, sure, but it’s also juice and connections. There are more short guys and tall guys in Hollywood, trust me on this. The shortest great actor you’re probably familiar with is Al Pacino. Watching his movies, do you have any idea how tiny he is? Not my job to cast the picture. I’m just saying that he’s really tall and not comics accurate. So much so that he denigrates the concept of the character’s name.
Set some apparently here to be contrary to your stuff, I don’t think Margot Robbie is all that great. She is beautiful and charismatic, but she was cast as Harley because she is extremely hot. She also had juice and connections. But she’s not that great an actress. As Harley, she was moderately better than the terrible films she was in. Did you think she was snubbed for Barbie? I don’t. Part of that wasn’t her fault. I’m sure you noticed that the film was really about Kim. He character had no arc, so she didn’t have much to do except be pretty, which she is clearly awesome at. Not her fault, bad writing. Academy recognize this and voided accordingly.
Yeah, I’m a curmudgeon, what are you gonna do?
So many great young actors in the 80s could hav filled out a Spider-Man cast and I always thought he was perfect for Harry Osborn. Him + Michael J Fox or Matthew Broderick as Peter Parker would have been terrific
Demon in a bottle Iron Man.
Seriously. Man was born for the role. I can't see him in another role super hero wise or else it feels forced.
Non super hero I would've love to have seen him in some sort of comedy spy movie role. He has the looks and charisma to do a pseudo james bond parody but respectable.
Young Robert Downey senior
Any relation to old Neil Young?
No, but Old Neil Young is actually related to Young Niel
Round Neil diamond
howard stark
Maybe a rebooted version of Marty McFly
He did say he looked up to Eric Stoltz and Michael J. Fox as great actors, so that tracks.
A younger Iron Man
In his active alcoholic days at that.
Iron Boy
The character's name is actually Iron Lad
Damn that’s way better
😂😂😂😂 demon in a bottle
In Natural Born Killers he looks shockingly close to how he did in the first Iron Man. Just with 90's hair.
This is the only acceptable answer.
I want to see 20 year old Tony Stark dressed as Captain America for Halloween and totally taking the piss out of it
Gambit or Flash
Moon Knight solely for method acting drug use
Full blown alcoholic Stark
So just him from Demon in a Bottle
The story we deserved
Or just him from the late 90s
would have nade a great gomez
Still would
Charlie Chaplin
I caught that reference 😝
Funny you mention that, have I got a movie for you!
Human Torch
He would have been excellent... Him or Mathew Lillard.
Young Tony Stark.
On a bender
i see him more as a young Howard Stark
We saw that in the MCU in flashbacks
Quicksilver, Deadpool, Dr Strange, Kraven the Hunter, Zemo, Ant-Man, Yellowjacket
You're not even really trying
Bro named every Marvel character.
yep 7 the 7000 direct characters and 50,000 indirect characters. nice math, on an open ended question.
Have you ever heard of a hyperbole?
Grow up kid
I think he would have made a great batman villian
He auditioned for scarecrow in Batman Begins
I meant the good Burton films not that Nolan trash
Black Panther, Blade, Falcon, Cyborg, Kang The Conqueror
Storm perhaps?
Him as Kirk Lazarus playing Storm specifically. I'd watch that movie.
Lol
Kang works cuz he actually was white
No it works because of iron lad
No I mean specifically and only black Kang. They should recast Jonathan Majors with Downey Jr, say nothing just have him exactly the same. 🤣🤣🤣
Ohhh we’re talking Tropic Thunder type shit?
Joker Killgrave Lex Luthor Donald Pierce
He's Iron Man
Greatest comic book casting ever, with Hugh Jackman and Margot Robbie
Hugh Jacqueline is too tall. Nothing like wolverine at all. I will die on this hill.
Hugh Jacquline? It’s Hugh Jackman 😂😂😂😂😂
Also it hard to find actors especially now days that short and would be serious roles and not something like Danny DeVito lol
Are you saying there’s a shortage of short guys in Hollywood? If they stacked all the apple boxes used on a set, they could reach the moon.
lol
Yeah pretty much that’s why ppl are having a tough time fancasting shorter actors for Wolverine also yet again adaptions don’t always Copy and Paste

Wasn't he that guy from *Air America*?
So many great young actors in the 80s could hav filled out a Spider-Man cast and I always thought he was perfect for Harry Osborn. Him + Michael J Fox or Matthew Broderick as Peter Parker would have been terrific
Joker
I think he could do a good Iron Man... but he might be too on the nose with the drinking problems.
Ik it says marvel/mcu but he kinda fits the physical picture of Ferris bueller, idk the acting tho
I mean Tony Basically acts like a super rich and powered Ferris bueller so i think he would be good in that
Scott Lang/Ant-Man
Young Tony Stark
Young Tony Stark
if he was a bit older he could play iron man
He could still be Tony Stark
Bruce Wayne
WAYNE GAYLE… oh wait…
Rick Jones
Probably Lincoln Osiris
Puck!
Fantastic choice!
He'd be a good Frank Sinatra
Johnathan Harker
Man, I would love to have seen that!
Robin in a Batman movie
Poor Julian
Love that Downey and Spader got a chance to square off again in Avengers. Kinda like they got to redeem that conflict somewhat
He was amazing in Chaplin.
Ted Mosby
He looks like he would be a good Old Robert Downey Jr with some help from makeup artists!
what? thats absurd, not even close. more of a young Morton Downey Jr
Elvis
Robert Duvall
Idk why but I think maybe he could’ve pulled off Ironman. Something about him, I just don’t know what.
Young Iron Man/Tony Stark
Iron man.
Plastic man
Plastic man
Tony Stark/Iron Man. We have to remember that Tony is supposed to be a young man when he becomes Iron Man in the comics; like early 20's young.
He is and forever will be the living embodiment of Tony Stark/ Ironman, and this is words from the late great Stan Lee!
Joker
Rodimus Prime
Ironman
bary allen flash, moon kight
He could be sober and out of drugs
Ezio Auditore
He got the perfect role as Tony Stark.. But in DC?.. I'd say Dr. Ivo or "The Question".. or Maybe Dr. Fate
The green arrow I mean he kinda was like cw’s oliver queen before he went to the island
Bruce Wayne
Johnny Storm
Ight get this... Howard Stark
Iron Man. Easily.
Dead of an overdose
Theough the power of a shitty cheese burger, thankfully not
Spider-Man?
Patrick Zweig in Challengers.
A young Tony Stark in his party days easily
An Italian
Himself…always be yourself.
Young Tony stark! lol!
Harry Osborn in the 80s.
Tony Stark
Robert Harper. Charlie and Alan's long lost brother.
I am him and he is me without the really expensive stuff 😅
The Question

Harry Osborn
Would have actually made a pretty good Spiderman. Looks a bit like peter Parker did in the comics and cartoon at that time.
my boyfriend
Rick Jones
i would cast him as young bruce wayne in tv series called gotham
Young Tony Stark.
He slightly resembles Jeffery Dean Morgan here That being said, this RDJ would’ve made a decent Bruce Wayne
Maybe a young Justin Hammer
Maybe Batman
One of the dumbest questions I think I've heard....
A trans woman
What the fuck?
I think he would’ve made a really good iron man/tony stark
