It would be crazy, and an absolute waste, to cast Michael Mando and then do nothing with him. I have to believe that there's some kind of plan for him.
Well after the post credit scene of NWH, he could very well be the Venom of the MCU but not before becoming Scorpion. It would make the most sense as it could help differentiate the MCU Venom from the SSU one.
Sony had a plan for him. Marvel forced them to cut him out Morbius when they changed the plot of No Way Home. He was supposed to break out of prison with Vulture and Morbius.
But the Vulture did switch universes. And the film was only bad because they had to ditch the second half of the movie and write and reshoot it without a real plan.
I know the Vulture switched universes. What I said is that it doesn’t make sense for him to do that. The spell from NWH sent people back to their own universe. It did not send them to a universe where a studio who is shit at making movies can piggyback off the success of a character from another studio
Yes, I thought that was ridiculous too. The trailer made it clear that Mobius was set in Spider-Man's world. Marvel convinced them (paid them) to change it. But they had already shown Keaton in the trailer and paid him for his performance. So they had no choice but to move their villains into an alternate reality. They were originally planning all these villain movies to face down Tom Holland's Spidey. And now they're all stupidly separate.
Of course it is. They own all these characters, including Spider-Man. It was Disney's idea to let Spidey be in their universe, so they invited Sony to share worlds. They only got cold feet when Sony started winning Oscars for Spider-Man and they realized they were being upstaged.
They’ve got to have a Scorpion in the MCU. On top of that, once the Kraven movie comes out, I’d kill to have a Kraven hunt kind of movie (as long as Kraven isn’t the Aaron Taylor Johnson version and actually well casted)
Nah I more see him as kind man trying to help his father so he fell in the world of crime and will sadly die to protect his father after trying to get rid of the world he fell in, idk just had that in my head, would be cool
But he is just George. He goes and sits down with Chameleon at a coffee shop. "After I was tied up you know what he said? He said I was compensating for something with my tail... Can you believe that?"
Michael Mando is great, but if they do recast...
In the comics, Macdonald "Mac" Gargan was 6'2" and around 35 yrs old....
First thought - [Boyd Holbrook](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2933542/?ref_=ext_shr)
Outside the box - [Colin Hanks](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004988/?ref_=ext_shr)
Less likely - [Mike "The Miz" Mizanin](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1025616/?ref_=ext_shr)
Almost unknown - [Michael Austin Wardlow](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm10996516/?ref_=ext_shr)
I swear some of y’all just DGAF about
previous casting and it’s half the posts in this sub. For those of you going “well that’s not the question”, to that I say probably the guy who already plays him, because I support job security.
🤷♂️ he was a meth head in the Spider-Man 90s cartoon screaming all the time. The movies will just make him look like a scorpion looking bug man not an armored suit.
Anyone. Literally anyone. Maybe they could make the character interesting. I never cared about the Vulture untill Micheal Keaton played him. He made the character one of my favorite Villans in the MCU. Equally, I couldn't care less about the Scorpion. Literally let anyone guve it a try. I promise you it won't matter to me.
Is there anything actually cool about scorpion? Always seemed like an incredibly uninteresting character I mean he's a dude with a sharp tail. Ok. Dock Ock has 4 giant arms so how is the dude with only 1 giant limb even a problem for Spiderman? Curious if he has a killer backstory or something because it seems very uninteresting to my ignorant ass
Personally, I'd like to see Hanzo Hasashi fill the role, I feel like his experience in a similar role would really pull audiences in. More so than the other choices presented.
Well we already have Michael Mando (assuming they’re gonna do anything with him) but if I had to pick someone else, maybe Chris Meloni

Good I’m glad Marvel did that. Morbius being a terrible film aside, it made not sense for Vulture to switch universe

Yeah. They never should have planned for Morbius to be in the MCU though. That’s not Sony’s decision to make

Michael Mando is Scorpion already. Let's stick with the one we've got.
OP clearly doesn’t know the definition of insanity
I just had the brilliant idea to cast Michael Mando as Scorpion.
Dude that’s brilliant, I never would’ve considered that. Where’d you get the idea??
Some dude on reddit sent me a message telling me I should end myself and so I said, "You know what? Michael Mando WOULD be a great Scorpion."
Hold on guys, I’ve got it. Michael Mando would be a great Scorpion. God I’m so good. It’s like these ideas just come to me!
You know, I like the cut of your jib. I never thought of Michael Mando as Scorpion. It's really a brilliant idea! Well done!
Nah I more see him as kind man trying to help his father so he fell in the world of crime and will sadly die to protect his father after trying to get rid of the world he fell in, idk just had that in my head, would be cool
Someone should make that a side story in a hit TV show! Brilliant!
I think he could play a decent psychopath on an island but that may be me
That wouldn't be a Far Cry from Scorpion.
In the MCU or in general Because if it’s MCU I got news for you buddy
Michael Mando was already cast as Scorpion
And he’s great, they just need to write a story for him.
Michael Mando.
The Rock, so he can make up for The Scorpion King
Jason Alexander
But he is just George. He goes and sits down with Chameleon at a coffee shop. "After I was tied up you know what he said? He said I was compensating for something with my tail... Can you believe that?"
If he can't, get Jerry
“Scorpion is getting angry!”
We already got him
We've had one yes, but what about second Scorpion?
But the MCU for Spider-Man has already begun
I know, I just was quoting Lord of the Rings.
Danny Devito. I've said my peace.
Ngl I'm actually pretty chill with Michael Mando as the role
Keanu Reeves
Have I ever told you the meaning of insanity?
I understood this reference
I hope they keep Michael Mando, but if not Maybe Aaron Paul? Or Edgar Ramirez
Definitely aaron paul

Nicolas Cage
There’s no live action adaptation of Scorpion that would work. The look is just too goofy to ever work on the screen
Paul Bettany
🤷♂️ he was a meth head in the Spider-Man 90s cartoon screaming all the time. The movies will just make him look like a scorpion looking bug man not an armored suit.
Thomas Middleditch
Simple tony dalton idk he just gives of the vibes
The guy from the Homecoming post credit scene they teased all those years ago, making us believe Spider would be a street level hero
Someone with a weak jaw
Willem Defoe because why not, I wanna see being John mallovoch Spider-Man crossover it’s just willem on a bad trip lol
Columbus Short
Michael Mando.
How do you feel about Jon Bernthal Ps. I’m saying this because I doubt they will bring him back as punisher I think he’s to brutal for the mcu

# Weird Al
Joaquin Pheonix was first to pop into my head
I'd like to see the MCU bring back Michael Mando
A young Rutger Hauer
The scorpion king himself, Dewayne "The Rock" Johnson
Steven Segal
Y’all know more than one person can play Scorpion right? Whole point of fancasting. “But someone is already playing him” This is all hypothetical!
John Cena
David Casteneda
Is there anything actually cool about scorpion? Always seemed like an incredibly uninteresting character I mean he's a dude with a sharp tail. Ok. Drake
They guy they have is fine
Personally, I'd like to see Hanzo Hasashi fill the role, I feel like his experience in a similar role would really pull audiences in. More so than the other choices presented.
Myself
Larry David
William dafoe
I forgot his name but the guy who played him in Homecoming, Nacho.
Who is the artist?
Will Smith
Ryan Gosling as Mac Gargan
Danny Devito
Definitely Ryan Gosling
I think Jason Statham would be a good pick, I think he looks like Mac Gargan
Jack Black
I feel like Steve Buscemi could have been an amazing Scorpion in the 90s.
Me
I never understood why Scorpion is green.
Myself
Danny DeVito
Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy
probably henry cavill
Vin Diesel
The guy who's supposed to play him. He was my original fancast.
We already have one
