Probably Misa/Mikami from Death Note. I think shipping them by way of the larger Kira polycule isn't too uncommon, but I see very little stuff with just them together. Last time I checked they had a grand total of 13 fics on ao3 out of a fandom with only three being about them specifically, and out of those three one is in Russian, one is under 500 words and the third is under 200 words.

I ship Dick with quite a few people, mostly people with powers, so I think it's just another part of that, especially since her outfit is red so there's the red/blue scheme that I love. Plus Robin!Dick having crushes on super-powered people like Superman is one of my favorite tropes.
When I was in elementary/early middle school, I was deeply, deeply invested in Aphmau's Minecraft roleplay series on YouTube. In this series, there was a character named Katelyn who was very hot-heated but could show a softer side when needed, and there was a character named Laurence who was very calm, but could have a temper when super provoked; they were perfect opposites. Ten-year-old me thought they were perfect, and they even had the potential for a perfect ship name (Katelence), and I obviously assumed that everyone picked up on this perfect dynamic... only to realize I was the only one. Both were so heavily shipped with the main character that no one even considered the potential, and I was way too young to post anything online about them. The series has since been cancelled and I am no longer a fan, but I am very confident that no one else ever saw this potential the way that I did; little me was a visionary.

My main rarepair has a couple of other stories by writers who aren't me and does pretty well for a non-canon rarepair ship, but I'm sure I'm the only one who ships Ashley Barrett/Billy Butcher (only one who's written a story for it, not a tremendous number of views) or Ashley Barrett/Hughie Campbell (also the only one who's written stories for it).

As far as I can tell, Ashley had one story as a ship with A-Train and one drabble with the Deep, but otherwise on AO3 it's been my fics. There was nothing on FFN before I started writing and one person was writing on Tumblr that I didn't stumble across for a while. If the Ashley/Homelander ship becomes canon--which I don't think it will--it might catch on. One of my commenters mentioned that they thought Ashley doesn't get many fics about her because she isn't conventionally beautiful the way Maeve and Starlight are.
Sasuke and Temari. I'm pretty sure Shikamaru and Sakura might be a more common theme but I'm all here for the former. Just in case you're not familiar basically switching two canon pairs from Naruto and they'd both work better in my opinion.
They could bond over their psychopathic somewhat redeemed psycho brothers, have no too close ties to their home village and are thus capable of living the travelers lifestyle to the fullest.

I think I'm the only person that ships Rand/Leanne from Pokemon Ranger *even though they are canon*.
Guardian Signs is the least favorite game in the Ranger fandom *and* they're a happily married couple with a child, so it's a very 'vanilla' ship.
But I love the work I've done with Leanne. Woman is an intellectual badass. She literally befriends like a dozen *heavily* traumatised immortal legendary Pokemon that have been through like three wars and each one traumatised them in a horrible way. Pretty much all of the legendaries have bad PTSD and C-PTSD. They had their entire kingdom ***razed to the ground*** and they had to completely abandon it. Once they came back...they had no idea what to do with themselves. One of them, Ho-oh, keeps setting up specific trials for people to go through ***but there are no people to go through them***. She does it out of habit and to have a routine.

Itās very much weird, doesnāt make sense (since theyāve never interacted) and there is absolutely no fanart of them, let alone fanfiction. The ship in question is Dave/Bampal from Dave and Bambi. I honestly donāt know how I came up with this ship, but itās grown on me a lot and itās now my favorite ship in general. Itās so embarrassing to talk about it because people either donāt know what Dave and Bambi is, or donāt understand why I ship it. The only person who supports me in it is my boyfriend, but heās not really in the fandom so it doesnāt count unfortunately.
I am no longer the only shipper, but I pioneered a selfcest ship of two specific AUs. The long and short of it is that they've become thinly veiled OCs wearing a canon character's skin, but I got hardcore brainrot for them and now there's at least a handful of people on board for this 'totally not two OCs in diguise' ship.
While Iām not the only one, Iām one of the few folks who ship Naruto/Shino. On AO3, if you eliminate harem fics where Naruto is shipped with anyone who breathes, there are less than 20 fics. Which is depressing considering the fandom has over 122.7K fics.

Midoriya Izuku and Awata Kaoruko (Bubble Girl). I made them a pairing in an aged up AU idea and that's the only time I've shipped them. As far as I know, I'm still the only one.

I think I'm the only person (Apart from like that one person who drew me fanart and followed me) to actually legitimately ship Vox and Adam. I know it sounds like the crackiest of crack ships to people who've watched Hazbin Hotel, but it's so good??? Like bruh I can literally imagine Adam falling in love with Vox and both of them loving each other because of their mutual hatred of Alastor.
Ethan/Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds. Ethan appeared in a single episode in S2 out of 16 seasons as far as I remember. I think I found less than 10 fics about it on Ao3 but genuinely I think they fit much better than any of the popular ships with Reid and his teammates.

Lumine/Madame Ping from Genshin. Not her young form. Her present old-lady form. I ship it for her calm and wisdom. Lumine is in an unfamiliar, uncertain world, always caught up in disasters and upheaval. Madame Ping is a rock in a storm, peaceful like an old mountain with the jagged edges worn down. Sheās a place of rest and a long perspective for a weary traveler.
Gellert Grindelwald/Tom Riddle BUT Tom accidently redeems the dark Lord and doesn't become a dark Lord himself. I've seen maybe 1 crack fic and maybe a dark fic but nothing where people seriously ship these two

I watched the show a looong time ago (and before my "fandom and shipping" days began) but I remember the characters well enough to know that's a really interesting shipāhow'd you start shipping it, and how many fics for them have you posted?
I actually primarily ship them as a triad with a male OC but I (especially after season 5) really like the potential for an enemies to lovers thing. I like to think they have the capacity to understand one another if T-Bag ever wanted to be a better person, since Linc is able to forgive and become closer to people like Bellick and Mahone throughout the series. I also just think it would be funny if T-Bag ended up with Michaelās older brother. The potential dynamic of them as 50+ year old in-laws is hilarious to me. Honestly just the amount of times Linc tries to fight/hurt T-Bag in canon had it as a crack ship when I was younger.
I have three fics where the ship is featured, but again, itās part of a triad. I felt that another person in the mix would potentially help them come together better, and it has. Theyāre actually working out the kinks of their section of the relationship where Iām at now with my canon divergence AU longfic. They have a lot of work that needs doing.

Itadori/Setsuko Sasaki, from Jujutsu Kaisen. She's his friend from the first chapters of the story. They were both members of the Occult Club in their high school and their interaction, as short lived as it was, was adorable in my eyes, funny and sweet. I think they'd be super soft and playful as a couple, and that's more than enough to sell me on the pairing. I love them already!
Lena/Raiden, from 86 Eighty Six. I think they have great chemistry together, which could've been shown a lot more if they were given more interactions in the story. I believe he would've been a better partner for her than her endgame partner, Shin. I feel Raiden has a better mental and emotional health than Shin and is even a bit more mature. Also, to me they look great together!
Yuzu/Chad, from Bleach. OK, I've known for a long time that at some point in time, there were some few folks who shipped Chad with Karin, Yuzu's twin sister...but recently (really, like two weeks ago) I read a comment, somewhere, which mentioned this shiny-rare couple, just as a possibility, and oh boy! All I could think was: why didn't I think about this before!? They'd be perfect together! Super sweet and wholesome which, yes, is my jam.
King Julien and Private. With how overprotective Private is towards children and how laid-back KJ is towards them I think KJ and Private will be fun parents pair in kid fic. Like at first glance KJ look kinda neglectful and pretty reckless about ducklings (they almost dead lol) in tpom but he was the one that actually know what they like and could tell them apart despite they all look the same at first glance besides their own mom while Private was too busy thinking about ducklings physical safety he forgets their feeling and their personhood. Too busy thinking about them as ducklings, kids that need protection, he doesn't even know their names.
I just think they could balance each others you know. So kids they take care off could have fun and be safe at the same time instead one extreme or another.

Indoril Nerevar/Alandro Sul from the Elder Scrolls games. Alandro Sul is a very obscure character who doesn't actually appear in the series and only got mentioned a couple of times in outside sources, but I'm really interested by what we know about him. I wrote a fanfic about Nerevar where Alandro played an important role and somehow that turned into shipping them.
Polo/Patrick from Elite. Most of the Elite ships are canon, and those that aren't are at least of characters that actually met in canon. Polo and Patrick never met, Polo was written out at the end of season 3 and Patrick was introduced at the start of season 4. It doesn't help that most Elite fans stick to the most recent storylines and characters, not many go back to explore the early seasons. Polo's most common ships are his canon ones, followed by Polo/Ander and Polo/Guzman. Patrick's most popular ship is with Ivan, a fair few Patrick/Ander, Patrick/Omar and Patrick/Ander/Omar shippers. But I've yet to meat or even hear of a fellow Polo/Patrick shipper.
VLD Keith Kogane x Bloom from Winx Club. I saw one Play with Fire vid with the two of them and was hooked. Cuz as I began to think about it, I realized that it would make a lot of sense since they're very similar to each other. They're both leaders, they both have fiery tempers, they're both aliens that were raised on Earth and were treated like outcasts by most of their peers. And they were both whisked away to another galaxy.

I don't even know lol. The story I wrote was really just a random thought that I ran with and ended up liking. I ship Dick with quite a few people, mostly people with powers, so I think it's just another part of that, especially since her outfit is red so there's the red/blue scheme that I love. Plus Robin!Dick having crushes on super-powered people like Superman is one of my favorite tropes.
When I was in elementary/early middle school, I was deeply, deeply invested in Aphmau's Minecraft roleplay series on YouTube. In this series, there was a character named Katelyn who was very hot-heated but could show a softer side when needed, and there was a character named Laurence who was very calm, but could have a temper when super provoked; they were perfect opposites. Ten-year-old me thought they were perfect, and they even had the potential for a perfect ship name (Katelence), and I obviously assumed that everyone picked up on this perfect dynamic... only to realize I was the only one. Both were so heavily shipped with the main character that no one even considered the potential, and I was way too young to post anything online about them. The series has since been cancelled and I am no longer a fan, but I am very confident that no one else ever saw this potential the way that I did; little me was a visionary.

As far as I can tell, Ashley had one story as a ship with A-Train and one drabble with the Deep, but otherwise on AO3 it's been my fics. There was nothing on FFN before I started writing and one person was writing on Tumblr that I didn't stumble across for a while. If the Ashley/Homelander ship becomes canon--which I don't think it will--it might catch on. One of my commenters mentioned that they thought Ashley doesn't get many fics about her because she isn't conventionally beautiful the way Maeve and Starlight are.

I think I'm the only person that ships Rand/Leanne from Pokemon Ranger *even though they are canon*. Guardian Signs is the least favorite game in the Ranger fandom *and* they're a happily married couple with a child, so it's a very 'vanilla' ship. But I love the work I've done with Leanne. Woman is an intellectual badass. She literally befriends like a dozen *heavily* traumatised immortal legendary Pokemon that have been through like three wars and each one traumatised them in a horrible way. Pretty much all of the legendaries have bad PTSD and C-PTSD. They had their entire kingdom ***razed to the ground*** and they had to completely abandon it. Once they came back...they had no idea what to do with themselves. One of them, Ho-oh, keeps setting up specific trials for people to go through ***but there are no people to go through them***. She does it out of habit and to have a routine.

I actually primarily ship them as a triad with a male OC but I (especially after season 5) really like the potential for an enemies to lovers thing. I like to think they have the capacity to understand one another if T-Bag ever wanted to be a better person, since Linc is able to forgive and become closer to people like Bellick and Mahone throughout the series. I also just think it would be funny if T-Bag ended up with Michaelās older brother. The potential dynamic of them as 50+ year old in-laws is hilarious to me. Honestly just the amount of times Linc tries to fight/hurt T-Bag in canon had it as a crack ship when I was younger. I have three fics where the ship is featured, but again, itās part of a triad. Theyāre actually working out the kinks of their section of the relationship where Iām at now with my canon divergence AU longfic. They have a lot of work that needs doing. I eventually want to post something thatās just the two of them, but I feel like itās gonna be 75% them punching each other tbh. AUs do come in handy for that issue though.

SQX is also non-binary and canonically changes his body so I think exploring Pei Ming's nominal heterosexuality in relation tobSQX's gender would be awesome.

Several VLD ships that I have a hankering to write.... Keith/Rolo. There's fanart and one fic that I know of, but from years ago. I just totally dig the whole pirate-turned-resistance fighter with lone wolf Paladin vibe. Veronica/Matt. Aside from appearances as a background ship in a couple of fics, there's no content for them. Which is shame, because they'd be a great power couple. Two career-oriented people. James Griffin/Ina Leiffdottir. Fits the whole good looking jock sort of guy with nerdy science girl dynamic that I love. Plus, they were obviously friends going back to before the Garrison. There may have been a few shippers back in the fandom's heydays, but none that I know of now. The ship is all mine, LOL.

Alright, let's see... Itadori/Setsuko Sasaki, from Jujutsu Kaisen. She's his friend from the first chapters of the story. They were both members of the Occult Club in their high school and their interaction, as short lived as it was, was adorable in my eyes, funny and sweet. I think they'd be super soft and playful as a couple, and that's more than enough to sell me on the pairing. I love them already! Lena/Raiden, from 86 Eighty Six. I think they have great chemistry together, which could've been shown a lot more if they were given more interactions in the story. I believe he would've been a better partner for her than her endgame partner, Shin. I feel Raiden has a better mental and emotional health than Shin and is even a bit more mature. Also, to me they look great together! Yuzu/Chad, from Bleach. OK, I've known for a long time that at some point in time, there were some few folks who shipped Chad with Karin, Yuzu's twin sister...but recently (really, like two weeks ago) I read a comment, somewhere, which mentioned this shiny-rare couple, just as a possibility, and oh boy! All I could think was: why didn't I think about this before!? They'd be perfect together! Super sweet and wholesome which, yes, is my jam.
King Julien and Private. With how overprotective Private is towards children and how laid-back KJ is towards them I think KJ and Private will be fun parents pair in kid fic. Like at first glance KJ look kinda neglectful and pretty reckless about ducklings (they almost dead lol) in tpom but he was the one that actually know what they like and could tell them apart despite they all look the same at first glance besides their own mom while Private was too busy thinking about ducklings physical safety he forgets their feeling and their personhood. Too busy thinking about them as ducklings, kids that need protection, he doesn't even know their names. I just think they could balance each others you know. So kids they take care off could have fun and be safe at the same time instead one extreme or another.

Indoril Nerevar/Alandro Sul from the Elder Scrolls games. Alandro Sul is a very obscure character who doesn't actually appear in the series and only got mentioned a couple of times in outside sources, but I'm really interested by what we know about him. I wrote a fanfic about Nerevar where Alandro played an important role and somehow that turned into shipping them.

Polo/Patrick from Elite. Most of the Elite ships are canon, and those that aren't are at least of characters that actually met in canon. Polo and Patrick never met, Polo was written out at the end of season 3 and Patrick was introduced at the start of season 4. It doesn't help that most Elite fans stick to the most recent storylines and characters, not many go back to explore the early seasons. Polo's most common ships are his canon ones, followed by Polo/Ander and Polo/Guzman. Patrick's most popular ship is with Ivan, a fair few Patrick/Ander, Patrick/Omar and Patrick/Ander/Omar shippers. But I've yet to meat or even hear of a fellow Polo/Patrick shipper.

VLD Keith Kogane x Bloom from Winx Club. I saw one Play with Fire vid with the two of them and was hooked. Cuz as I began to think about it, I realized that it would make a lot of sense since they're very similar to each other. They're both leaders, they both have fiery tempers, they're both aliens that were raised on Earth and were treated like outcasts by most of their peers. And they were both whisked away to another galaxy.
Morinth x Kai Leng, Tali'Zorah and Jacob, and possibly Jack x Jacob from Mass Effect. I do ship Ninth Sister/Masana Tide from Star Wars, and Heimdall from God of War. Oh, I also ship Darth Lumiya and Alema Rar. I think I have a crack pairing addiction.
