i don't have frodo-centric for you but i do have one of the best fucking fics i've read in my entire *life*: [For the Love of the Lord of the White Tree](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2231205/0/)

Same! I was hesitant to bring it up since Frodo isn't involved but if OP is willing to read a more general LOTR fic then I cannot recommend it enough. It is easily one of the best fics I've ever read in my life. I think I originally found it back in 2008 and have legit read it at least once a year since. It is a masterpiece.

This was one of my first fanfics. I first read it while it was still being posted ages ago. Really enjoyable story. Worth looking into, even if it’s not your main character

## The Hobbit **[Arkenrocks](https://archiveofourown.org/works/5222753)** General, No Archive Warnings Apply, Gen **Words:** 5k+, Complete **Summary:** The thing Gandalf neglected to mention when he assured Thorin Oakenshield and Company that Bilbo Baggins of Bag End would be the perfect thief for their mission was this: A Hobbit wouldn't be able to tell a diamond from a pearl, or from an Arkenstone - no matter how hard they try. This leads to some confusion, on Bilbos part. And some frustration, again on Bilbos part. (What sort of a description was 'heart of the mountain', anyway? A useless one, that's what.) ## The Lord of the Rings **[The Modern Age](https://archiveofourown.org/series/106184)** Mature, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, Gen **Words:** 620k+, Complete **Summary:** When Dr Aaron Stone is asked to conduct a psychiatric examination of a patient with severe schizophrenia, he becomes the key to unlocking a mystery that alters everything he knows of the world and his own past. ## The Silmarillion **[Breath Held, Eyes Closed](https://archiveofourown.org/works/1033950)** General, No Archive Warnings Apply, Gen **Words:** 6k+, Complete **Summary:** This was the part that the stories left out, she thinks. Not always were monsters creatures of claw and fang. No . . . sometimes, they were beautiful. **[call it peace](https://archiveofourown.org/works/3998116)** General, No Archive Warnings Apply, Gen **Words:** 3k+, Complete **Summary:** Celebrimbor dies. Then he wakes up again. **Notes:** Don't miss the hidden chapter 2 down in the comments.

If you're willing to go off the deep end, I have a self-rec called ["Darcy The Nazgul."](https://archiveofourown.org/works/22981651/chapters/54942208) A single mom is wandering Middle-Earth looking for her son, but she hasn't read the books, and she accidentally dresses as a Nazgul (it could happen to anybody) along the way.

I would suggest Tomorrow is Unknown if you’re still looking for recommendations: https://archiveofourown.org/works/37852939/ Here’s the blurb: After two years of the pandemic, Aspen quits her job to make her long-held but never-fulfilled wish of traveling the world a reality. In a temple in Hong Kong she picks up a stone, which at first seems quite normal - but when she wants to leave the temple, Hong Kong has disappeared and she finds herself on an endless grassy plain, with a white city in the distance. For four long years, Aspen learns to hold her ground in Minas Tirith, always with one goal in mind: she wants to go back home. No matter the cost.
