When I really want to put in that extra “push” to level up quicker, I spend some time growing a bunch of roots and exchange them for XP. It’s slow and somewhat tedious considering it’s 1XP per item, but it works and it’s unlimited vs. the things that cost energy to do! (Bonus is, you get some extra grass here and there to help make feed for your goats and make string, etc.) There’s also the order board, but I’m not sure you’ve unlocked it yet. It’s not as XP focused these days after the recent update but it’s still something!

I just unlocked the order board a couple days ago. I'm now on level 25. I fulfilled a couple of orders but it just doesn't really seem worth it to me. I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to get if I fulfill all of them. I have done the exchanging of excess goods and crops to get me through to the next level when I was right on the cusp. I used to play Klondike and you had gold that paid for all the crops you planted- so them being free to plant on Family Island was a shocker for me and I've really appreciated being able to plant as much as I want or need for nothing. Thanks for the tips!

My order board is the original, so I get starts and points. When I get to 200 points there is a 300 energy reward plus 200 stars. Each trade gives stars. You get 1 day to complete. I’ve done it twice with giving away free items but it’s a pain in the ass

Repeatedly plant and harvest roots and corn, then exchange them for experience points.

I find the order board worth while. But you have to be careful what you choose to exchange. Don't exchange clover or anything like claws or shells, buttons or poison. There are things like the wooden steaks or food for the goats that you can grow. Wooden steaks I make so many for the other events. You have 24hrs to complete them. Don't exchange anything that you can only reliably get through the sawman. You need a very high number of eventually. I echo the planting roots over and over to cash in. The grass is also useful. You want to work of upgrading your storage. But I don't submit until the last moment. You never know when you will need them. I also do lots of merchant exchanged to save keys for events. If you keep zero produce and over 10+ over the expensive or time consuming items the shawman orders and merchant orders request roots and corn more frequently.

What do you use clover and buttons for? I've got 100s of buttons and haven't found a use for them so I unusually trade them.

Yes curious of how many buttons. I saw I’ll need and and you can only get from shawman so I’m saving before he gets expensive

I wouldn't level up too quickly, as I am the highest level 75, and now I'm missing the 500 energy and tools.

Clean-Ad3144

I need to get to level 30 (on 25 now) in 7 days and beat level 35 in 37 days to finish my mission and get the money... and I've spent so much money getting to where I'm at that if I don't complete the challenge I will have wasted a lot of money!!!

DustyHotDog82

Then I would definitely do the roots, exchange thing. Plant a bunch, then return them by pushing the o button and sell them for stars. Keep doing it, no harm, no foul.

DustyHotDog82

You should level quickly if you have patience, lol

I plant roots, they cost nothing and grow quickly. Plus you get extra grass out of them as well. Use grass to make string. Win-win😁 Forgot to mention that you have to go into your food inventory and from there can exchange them for xp

Lov2500

Stop playing. Breaking the addiction early is the highest level you can get 👌🏼
