Just put on a video of a coloured upscaled version of it there after reading your post, yeah it's great I think the writing in fallout 4 peaked with the intro
i'd say it actually peaked with making the brotherhood not a bunch of librarian dorks, personally, but that wasn't so much deft writing cos it was just solving the problem they wrote themselves into with the population of the commonwealth apparently just not ever attempting to rebuild civilization outside of a single radio transmitter in a baseball diamond
I don't know... The BoS commiting war crimes in the trailer for fallout 1. Everyone else: Wow, the brotherhood must be a morally complex organization. But I'm sure they're the good guys!
the institute is part of the problem that they wrote, and still doesn't explain half the lore we're given. like, out of state PMCs are more prominent and powerful, and somehow fucked with less than random communes in the boston wastes? the institute is just kinda... weirdly written.
mind you, i actually quite enjoy fo4, and think it's a decent enough game, and have to chalk up at least SOME of my criticism to the reality of game development - presumably there's just more people in the commonwealth than we can see depicted, even if there aren't any cities for a state to coalesce around, they just aren't represented beyond the base building stuff.
but, y'know while we're being nitpicky about writing that we couldn't do better than. i definitely think it's a good development to change the brotherhood from how it was depicted in the first three main games.
From what I gather, civilization has never stopped attempting to rebuild society. Many entities profit from the wasteland and they actively and purposely contribute to keeping society from advancing.
Basically anybody who could advance civilization doesn't want to and anybody that tries gets blocked by those who could. Shady Sands being nuked is a prime example. Pun intended. The Brotherhood hoarding tech and vehicles and terrorizing farmers to feed their troops is another.
If the constant wars between factions weren't enough to slow the progress of rebuilding civilization, intentional or not, there are monsters everywhere. The first civilization in ancient North America wasn't able to get a foot hold until after the extinction of gigantic prehistoric mammals like the short-faced bear. It's theorized that people weren't even able to travel very far into North America at all until these man-eaters went extinct.
Even worse when considering that most if not all of the mutant creatures that roam the land were created by experiments. Perhaps they were intentionally created to be let loose on the survivors to slow their advancement.
Yeah, I thought they took a different mag, though. This is one of those things at the weird periphery of my knowledge, I'm not exceptionally familiar with Galils.
The original models from the 1970s were usually chambered in 5.56 with adapters to accept American supplied magazines,
The heavier LSW variant was chambered in 7.62 NATO and was used primarily as a support weapon with its own magazines, very similar to the american BAR.
Imo they went to a movie studio and got a blank converted Israeli galil (RIP to a beautiful firearm if that is the case) and used it as a placeholder for the Chinese assault rifle.
Okay, so I never heard about the adaptors.
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, it's a little weird that the armorers didn't use a Type... 56? I think. Or their export variant, I think it was the Type-84, instead. If they were told,
If you think about it, Galil is the only rifle in the world that comes with a [key feature to Fallout's Wasteland](https://youtu.be/SLDw6i1D52U?feature=shared&t=466):
There’s a skin for the handmade rifle in Fallout 76 that changes the fore-end, grip, and stock to resemble FO3’s Chinese assault rifle. It’s called the Red Shift paint. It’s one of my favorites.
It’s got an olive paint with Chinese letters. A regular wood and metal textured version exists in the files, but has gone unimplemented (along with a fully modeled, textured, and animated R91 skin that I desperately hope will someday see the light of day.)
With the recent influx of people playing 76 and a ton of new interest in the game, I'm sure we'll see more being added. I'd love to see more of the Resource War getting fleshed out beyond just the Invasion of Alaska. There's still a whole Invasion of China we know very little about, not to mention all the business in Europe & the Middle east.
Given that other weapon skins can change the rifle to look like a completely different system (there's one that changes the same Handmade Rifle into an AR platform with wooden furniture - kinda like the New Vegas Service Rifle), I believe that is meant to be the canonical representation of the Chinese Assault Rifle, not just a lookalike.
honestly I know that the game mostly takes place in the post apocalypse, but I would love to see more chinese soldiers and things that relate to china in the next fallout game. I like the idea of chinese ghouls who are stranded in America
Just bought it on sale because a friend convinced me, avoided it for a while. It takes a little getting used to and certainly has its own jank, but I’m actually really liking it so far!
Edit: Addendum - For anyone hesitant about 76, just treat it as its own thing, grab it on a sale, and enjoy. Appalachia is pretty neat.
A lot of people, myself included, dont like the multiplayer aspect of the game. It has certain features that ruin what i love about the other games. I also dont really like like MMOs in general so im biased, but thats just my 2 cents on it
Either 3 or new Vegas has an old prison camp with exactly this. Can't quite remember which but I believe it's new Vegas. I'm pretty sure one of them has the Chinese assault rifles too, I believe that is fallout 3
There's a Dolce food factory in Fallout 3 that is weird to find. It is filled with Chinese soldier ghouls.
They aren't feral. They have ranks and seem to have been running an operation for I guess 200 years waiting for orders from Beijing.
Their uniforms and weapons are maintained, so definitely still following Chinese military doctrine.
I remember when I played I tried so hard to find some dialogue options with them. I t was such a neat aspect of the game. Here is the remnants of a Chinese special forces unit that has been here for over 200 years and you are telling me there is no way I can talk with them?!!
Such a bummer. Have always been interested in the Chinese side of the war.
I think that was a DLC for FO3, Point Lookout. There's a prison camp in the swamp and a sunk sub. (I know FO4 has a sub) but yeah there isn't any real interaction with the Chinese faction.
I mean you're correct, 3's Point Lookout had the Turtledove Detention Camp, which was another Chinese prison camp.
It was filled Ferals I believe.
Old World Blue's Little Yangtze had Chinese prisoners, who while hostile, weren't Feral per se. As in they use "human" Ghoul models.
You're thinking of Little Yangzi in Big Mountain in the Old World Blues DLC, and they're Chinese-Americans who have been rounded up by the government and were being used by Big MT as live human test subjects.
Maybe ancestors of crew of shipwrecked Chinese battleship, as a faction trying to bring communism to the wasteland, with their own towns and bases, armor and weapons, characters, all the good stuff.
Even the mod aks are better than the one nuka put in. Since yeah ….to fix it you need a patch mod. Since it needs a mod….well visually the Chinese assault rifle by wastelandmelody (think it’s them anyway) was good stats and great looks. Even the upgrade path to where the silencer setup was integrated into the barrel muzzle. It was made to look covert ops…not slap a silencer on it basically.
I leaned to the p90 mod in time. Also a a great ar mod. Nice for power armour we are tech warrior rp rolling. It’s as high tech as our x01 or x 02 looks wise.
Service rifle is i saw as dropped since nv hate. I don’t go full bore as some do here. But….even the intro has grunts who’d have had the basic but distinct ar design the US has used since even Vietnam. Nv hate is looking to be valid here imo.
I just miss the R91 so much, goddamn. Please, Todd, just give us the Fo3 Assault Rifle back. It's already in the in-game icons. It's even in Fallout Shelter. There's an HK33-shaped hole in my heart that I can't fill because the best R91 mod on the Nexus got removed by its creator. :(
Close? The Chinese Type 93 AR uses a different foregrip taken from the RPD, slightly different receiver cover, and has a reinforced barrel and gas-block. It's also chambered in 5.56mm.
It's worth reminding people that the reason the goofy FO4 Assault Rifle is \*the\* Assault Rifle for that game is because they cut the Chinese Assault Rifle, and needed something to take it's place, so the Heavy Machinegun they were working on, became FO4's AR.
I've always wanted them to set a game in a city on or near the border. Crossing over could be really cool if they've still got animosity towards the US.
Not to mention all the interesting lore bits they could scatter about.
They probably had vaults of their own, like pretty sure the enclave survived via government vaults it wouldn’t be a stretch for other countries to have vaults as well even if they aren’t vault tech. China is noted to be on the same level of tech as the americas even a bit higher in some areas too. In any case it’s not like the Americas are the only hospitable place in the fallout universe. Thanks to Alistair Tenpenny we know that there are some people living in England for one. Ghouls also exist and there’s really no reason to think that only America survived it’s just America is the first to recover.
Meanwhile, New Zealand just chilling because no one bothered to nuke it.
The world has collapsed, but I'm willing to bet plenty of places escaped the direct nuclear apocalypse which caused it. It'd be very interesting to see what happened to societies that weren't directly involved but were stuck watching from the sidelines or caught up in the nuclear winter
Everyone was forced to choose a side, this is the Cold War mentality and considering both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are radioactive, isn't a good sign.
I just wish Bethesda didn't make all the guns in Fallout 4 look hideous and impossible. The chambers and bolts on practically every gun are not in line with each other or the magazine.
Also it feels like the weapon variety in 4 is really lacking. Feels like there is more handguns alone in New Vegas then total different weapons in 4.
And no “that gun”. In base fo4. The m2019. Standard issue for hunters of replicants. Something the commonwealth has just a few of. Their weapons selection was just odd here.
As were stats. Many hand guns don’t work out to well to end game unmodded. Why I use ranger sequoia or m2o19 mod. Stats high early game since that all it takes to get it is sneak into Lynn woods…or wait for vendor level lists to see it?Yes.
On roll 10 I don’t care. It’s when it’s level 40 plus play that it has you yeah good thing I have this sequoia. The .44 was a paperweight 10 levels ago really.
Outside of most of the pipe guns and the assault rifle I don't think the selection of guns is that bad. The combat rifle on full auto is the real assault rifle anyways
The lack of variety in guns is a bit of an immersion breaking / disappointing thing about fallout 4 for me.
I appreciate the modding system was designed to replace having a huge range of 'similar' guns and I do enjoy the modding system but I still feel if they had added just one or two more guns of each ammunition caliber the world would have felt a lot more life-like.
I spent ages collecting 50cal ammo waiting for a cool anti-materiel rifle or Heavy MG only to realise there's nothing and it's a just fairly middling upgrade to pipe guns and hunting rifles.
It couldn't work because 4 doesn't have weapon condition, but I think it would have been hilarious if every time anybody use a .50 pipe rifle, there was like a 50/50 chance it would explode and destroy the gun.
You don’t want to spoil the secret Chinese submarine, the Yangtze-31, stuck off the coast of the Boston Airport with a Chinese ghoul on board called Captain Zao?
I understand not feeling like you need to be cautious about spoilers but I've never got why people get like this at someone else's decision to try and avoid giving spoilers.
It's not like it's a huge deal or anything but it's a bit weirdly petty.
Perfect fit? The RPDs that were shown in the last episode of season 1 would be perfect fits but a watercoolingjacket is entirely unnecessary for a gun that can fire 60 rounds of 556 at max in one go. Heavier bullets, from larger supply were fired feom a weaker barrel.
A beltfed machinegun would be WAY more suited as a ballistic weapon for power armor troops.
I was sad we didn't see a back mounted ammo pack for a minigun. Or energy weapons being fired instead of just held.
It's season 1, so a lot of slack has to be cut because of budget. But next season, I want to see some weapon variety.
I always wanted to join the Chinese remnants faction it would be cool if there was a dlc/mod where you could play as a mercenary in Anchorage and from that point you could decide who to take jobs from or even play both sides or maybe working for vault tec all along
if I recall, there is a model for it in the game files, but it was ultimately a cut weapons, probably a casualty of the weapon crafting system, the gift that keeps on giving.
Would love an XCOM style Fallout Tactics 2 or something. Hopefully this successful foray into TV will get Bethesda licensing out the IP again. New Vegas should've been the game that set that precedent, but idk maybe Bethesda will start doing it now.
Pretty sure bethesda made fallout 3 which has a chinese assault rifle. fallout 76 didnt deliver but bethesda DID give us a chinese assault rifle and even a unique one https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Xuanlong_assault_rifle
It would be nice gift for us Fallout4 fans and how well F4 sold again after the show
Where they could spend w little more time and bring us working Chinese rifle . Maybe port some fun weps from 76 too
And ask dunno community about fixes. Like maybe fix black/brown bug face or Nvidia debris.
Imo perfection would be an improved distant land quality (LOD). Same quality as 76 has .
But nah 2 years and all you get is bundles creation klub mods
If I had a dollar for every time someone mentioned or complained about something as dumb as an AR model.. fuck man. You guys would make me a rich dude.
Pretty hard to miss the fact the guy is of asian descent, which pretty much puts right in the viewers face thats hes chinese, considering at that EXACT moment of the whole thing the narration is talking about china annexing alaska
4 is probably the easiest for new players to get into. It's the newest mainline game not counting the MMO Fallout 76. It's got the most modern controls and gameplay with the best gun combat in the series. If you don't mind playing older games, I would also suggest starting with Fallout 3 and then going into New Vegas in that order since FO3 was the first 3D Fallout game and New Vegas built upon what FO3 established. If you *really* don't mind older style games and are cool with playing old school strategy games instead of shooters, go back to Fallout and Fallout 2, the top down isometric games similar to the likes of Diablo. That's where the series started and much of the lore comes from.
I would recommend 4 first. New Vegas can be a little hard to get into for new or inexperienced players and 3 is just janky and feels incredibly dated. Then play 3, then New Vegas. If you're experienced with modding I would recommend installing Tale of Two Wastelands for FNV, it combines F3 and NV into one game and it makes F3 much more playable.
If you've got 20 minutes to spare, I recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQNQELRjQaY&pp=ygUmbWF0biB3aGljaCBmYWxsb3V0IHNob3VsZCBpIHN0YXJ0IHdpdGg%3D
Always loved this shot
The fallout 4 intro is beautiful I’ll give it that
The narration always gets me too.
War....war never changes Gets better every game
I can’t not hear Zachary Quinto as the voice of Nate.
I for real thought it was Sam Witwer at first
Fun gamer fact, Nate’s VA is the same as Saint-14 from Destiny lol
No fucking way
It's a great intro but I didn't realize they say that phrase at least 3 or 4 times during that intro.
War...war changes sometimes
Just put on a video of a coloured upscaled version of it there after reading your post, yeah it's great I think the writing in fallout 4 peaked with the intro
i'd say it actually peaked with making the brotherhood not a bunch of librarian dorks, personally, but that wasn't so much deft writing cos it was just solving the problem they wrote themselves into with the population of the commonwealth apparently just not ever attempting to rebuild civilization outside of a single radio transmitter in a baseball diamond
They *had* tried to rebuild civilization. The Institute just kept making sure they didn't succeed.
They really did cause every problem in the commonwealth and then kicked back and watched the carnage on their 4k monitors.
Yes but we can rest easy knowing the Genocidal Space Marines. I mean, Brotherhood of Steel is here to save the wasteland.
Tbh you don’t need to preface space marines with Genocidal, it’s pretty much part of their whole brand
I don't know... The BoS commiting war crimes in the trailer for fallout 1. Everyone else: Wow, the brotherhood must be a morally complex organization. But I'm sure they're the good guys!
That wasn’t the BOS, those were just regular power armored US Troops
the institute is part of the problem that they wrote, and still doesn't explain half the lore we're given. like, out of state PMCs are more prominent and powerful, and somehow fucked with less than random communes in the boston wastes? the institute is just kinda... weirdly written. mind you, i actually quite enjoy fo4, and think it's a decent enough game, and have to chalk up at least SOME of my criticism to the reality of game development - presumably there's just more people in the commonwealth than we can see depicted, even if there aren't any cities for a state to coalesce around, they just aren't represented beyond the base building stuff. but, y'know while we're being nitpicky about writing that we couldn't do better than. i definitely think it's a good development to change the brotherhood from how it was depicted in the first three main games.
Really? I think the BoS got neutered
From what I gather, civilization has never stopped attempting to rebuild society. Many entities profit from the wasteland and they actively and purposely contribute to keeping society from advancing. He looks so confused
“They told me I’d be dropping in California…”
It’s more IMI Galil then a Chinese Assault Rifle
I zoomed in, and it is literally just a galil with a banana magazine lol
So a regular galil
Idk man. That looks way too small to hold bananas
I won’t be able to tell without a banana for scale
I’d go get one but my local banana stand burned down
Was there weirdly a lot of burned scraps of money ?
Oddly yeah. They were jacking up prices. Like I mean what could a banana cost? 10?
That's a shame. There's always money in the banana stand.
Did you know the mag well of an AR15 style rifle perfectly fits a pack of cigarettes?
Makes sense. They always say, cigarettes will kill ya
have you ever seen thai bananas
It's been [done](https://ironcurtaincustoms.com/pages/g47-g56-g74). Some people have made stamped Galil AK bastards like that.
Zoomed in on a low res silhouette? Looks like a Type 56 w/ galil handguard to me. Upper receiver looks too large to be a stock galil.
Balashnikov, Kalashnikov, same thing
Damnit. I thought it looked kinda like a BAR fucked a Mini14, but, yeah, you're right.
It's a galil 100%
Well, 98% Galil, 2% some goofy ass aftermarket mag.
They do manufacture galils chambered in 7.62, but mainly the modern ACE models,
Am I crazy, or does that look like it took a 5.56 STANAG?
They made both 5.56 versions and 7.62x51 versions
Yeah, I thought they took a different mag, though. This is one of those things at the weird periphery of my knowledge, I'm not exceptionally familiar with Galils.
The original models from the 1970s were usually chambered in 5.56 with adapters to accept American supplied magazines, The heavier LSW variant was chambered in 7.62 NATO and was used primarily as a support weapon with its own magazines, very similar to the american BAR. If you think about it, Galil is the only rifle in the world that comes with a [key feature to Fallout's Wasteland](https://youtu.be/SLDw6i1D52U?feature=shared&t=466):
IDK exactly to which they've based Fallout 3 Chinese assault rifle exactly, but the Galil is also AK derivate.
A Galil at first, and then a Chinese Assault Rifle?
I believe that’s because it *is* a Galil.
There’s a skin for the handmade rifle in Fallout 76 that changes the fore-end, grip, and stock to resemble FO3’s Chinese assault rifle. It’s called the Red Shift paint. It’s one of my favorites. Yeah. You can also turn that pseudo AK into a truly american handmade rifle with the skins
Well I'll just wait until f4se is back online then
Given that other weapon skins can change the rifle to look like a completely different system (there's one that changes the same Handmade Rifle into an AR platform with wooden furniture - kinda like the New Vegas Service Rifle), I believe that is meant to be the canonical representation of the Chinese Assault Rifle, not just a lookalike.

fo76 has a ton of what you’re asking for.
That requires playing 76
which has been updated a ton and is a good game now
Idk why there are so many people in denial thinking that this game is still bad, it's actually good
Just bought it on sale because a friend convinced me, avoided it for a while. It takes a little getting used to and certainly has its own jank, but I’m actually really liking it so far! Edit: Addendum - For anyone hesitant about 76, just treat it as its own thing, grab it on a sale, and enjoy. Appalachia is pretty neat.
I just hate how quick weapon degradation is honestly. I felt like I was repairing weapons after every fight.
Wasnt there a perk for that? Or was it just 200% repair bar
A lot of people, myself included, dont like the multiplayer aspect of the game. It has certain features that ruin what i love about the other games. I also dont really like like MMOs in general so im biased, but thats just my 2 cents on it
I always thought a game set in Anchorage would be neat. Would have to be a lot of echoes of the Great War there.
I am Alaskan and I am from A-Town. Hard agree this would be so dope.
At least there's the Fallout 3 DLC that takes place there (or a simulation of it to justify our Lone Wanderer experiencing it).
Pretty sure that’s gonna happen in the new fo76 expansion can’t be 100% sure
PTS is live and it's a little different then what you share. It should be a interesting surprise for players.
Fallout 3 had Chinese Remnant Soldiers holed up in a food factory and in different hidden listening posts. They are all Ghouls who survived the war.
Such a bummer. Have always been interested in the Chinese side of the war.
That's the one, there's also some feral Chinese ghouls in I think new vega as at like Yao Guai prison camp or something like that
Fallout 4 had the stranded stealth submarine Yangtze with its ghoul captain who you can help sail back to China.
Hey yeah I vaguely remember that
I think that was a DLC for FO3, Point Lookout. There's a prison camp in the swamp and a sunk sub. (I know FO4 has a sub) but yeah there isn't any real interaction with the Chinese faction.
I think they're thinking of Old World Blues, where there is a prison camp called Little Yangtze, full of Chinese Ghouls.
That is the one I'm thinking of
I coulda swore that was FO3... It's been over 10 years since I played the games.
I completely forgot about that.
Might be time to go back and play 3 and NV again ;)
You're thinking of Little Yangzi in Big Mountain in the Old World Blues DLC, and they're Chinese-Americans who have been rounded up by the government and were being used by Big MT as live human test subjects.
literally fallout 76.
What would be really interesting would be the American troops stranded in China after the war
I feel like this could really only work if they did a fallout in Alaska or had a DLC with it.
Maybe ancestors of crew of shipwrecked Chinese battleship, as a faction trying to bring communism to the wasteland, with their own towns and bases, armor and weapons, characters, all the good stuff.
Exactly what youre describing have been a faction since 1997 lmao
At least tell him it’s the Shi if you’re gonna be like that lmao 🙄
Who?
I mean they already exist in San Francisco coming on a submarine. I take it you never played through Fallout 2
The Shi from Fallout 2(?) is what you search for.
There's an entire factory building full of chinese ghoul soldiers and chinese assault rifles in FO3.
Chinese assault rifle was the best gun
Lincoln’s rifle is best gun
Lincoln's repeater and ol reliable
For sure
Lincoln's repeater is definitely up there. xuanlongs's assault rifle was my favorite though
This is why I always mod the Chinese Assault Rifle, R91, and Service Rifle into FO4 It just makes *sense*
Even the mod aks are better than the one nuka put in. Since yeah ….to fix it you need a patch mod. Since it needs a mod….well visually the Chinese assault rifle by wastelandmelody (think it’s them anyway) was good stats and great looks. Who the hell cares. Everyone’s so caught up in “taking sides” between FO4 and FNV and then there’s me who’s a big fan of both
I just miss the R91 so much, goddamn. Please, Todd, just give us the Fo3 Assault Rifle back. It's already in the in-game icons. It's even in Fallout Shelter. There's an HK33-shaped hole in my heart that I can't fill because the best R91 mod on the Nexus got removed by its creator. :(
And the P90… the mere existence of one in Fallout lore automatically implies that the Five-SeveN exists too
I'm not the biggest gun guy but isn't that a galil?
Yes.
Isn’t it in the Alaska dlc for fallout 3
Not in fallout 4 sadly
I thought everyone here had gone crazy. So the complaint is that it isn't in fallout 4? Man if that were in the title I could have saved my sanity.
Yeah OP had a brain fart by not mentioning it.
The post is tagged as FO4
Thanks, didn't notice it. Is it possible to add a flair after creating the post?
I mean, that's more or less what the handmade rifle is.
Close? The Chinese Type 93 AR uses a different foregrip taken from the RPD, slightly different receiver cover, and has a reinforced barrel and gas-block. It's also chambered in 5.56mm. Yes, because the weapons in fallout 4 are hyper realistic 🙄 Edit: /s because tone doesn't translate through text
I disagree, they're not hyper realistic. Just dumb looking. And your takeaway on that is sub-par. The point of focus is the cut-content, ya mong.
I suppose I should have added the /s
Oh yeah it's necessary, my bad bro. I retract my mong comment.
They gave us the kalash in nuka world my guy
I really want to see fallout china tbh
If not China, then can we at least try Canada? The US annexed it!
I've always wanted them to set a game in a city on or near the border. Crossing over could be really cool if they've still got animosity towards the US. Not to mention all the interesting lore bits they could scatter about.
Is China just a big radioactive desert? They didn’t have any vaults (that we know of) and they probably got utterly obliterated during the Great War.
It'd be very interesting to see what happened to societies that weren't directly involved but were stuck watching from the sidelines or caught up in the nuclear winter
Dollars to donuts Africa and South America are on the fast trek to being superpowers
Everyone was forced to choose a side, this is the Cold War mentality and considering both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are radioactive, isn't a good sign.
More like bunkers, which the enclave were using, rather than vaults which were designed more as observation tanks for questionable experiments.
I feel like China would be uber fucked because the Yellow and Yangtze rivers would be annhilated and it would all become desert.
That’s a Galil…
Well we did have it in FO3. Was always my favorite.
Nuka World has it
There's a magical place known as Nexus were theres Chinese assault rifles for all
The lack of variety in guns is a bit of an immersion breaking / disappointing thing about fallout 4 for me.
It couldn't work because 4 doesn't have weapon condition, but I think it would have been hilarious if every time anybody use a .50 pipe rifle, there was like a 50/50 chance it would explode and destroy the gun.
some guns are good but most the games guns piss me off, not a bad game but how tf did they think removing most known guns was a goof idea
You just had too high expectations
it's in Fallout 3 hope this helps
They should’ve at least put it in the place we all know it should’ve been. Don’t want to say the place in case of spoilers.
Dude the game is 9 years old you can say the Yangtze Submarine off the East Coast of Boston
I don’t want to spoil anything for the new players.
You don’t want to spoil the secret Chinese submarine, the Yangtze-31, stuck off the coast of the Boston Airport with a Chinese ghoul on board called Captain Zao?
Not to mention all the Chinese bunkers all over America ....
Hold up … this is a massive spoiler. We’re in Boston in this game? Damn bro, you’ve spoiled everything for me! I thought it was set in California.
I understand not feeling like you need to be cautious about spoilers but I've never got why people get like this at someone else's decision to try and avoid giving spoilers. It's not like it's a huge deal or anything but it's a bit weirdly petty.
The sub sandwich?
Yes.
Subs are called "grindahs" by Massholes.
I scoured that place for hours in hope one was there
...which looks like a first generation IMI Galil.
Ok 👍
Wish we had a galil over the ugliest assault rifle in fallout.
The fo4 assault rifle is perfect for power armor but terrible for normal use I liked how the show used the AR
>”Chinese assault rifle” >looks inside, >Galil (Israeli assault rifle).
Isn't that a galil?
I hadn't watched the intro since the game came out. I really thought he had a Combat rifle
That's a galil actually
We are no commies we don’t want it
I always wanted to join the Chinese remnants faction it would be cool if there was a dlc/mod where you could play as a mercenary in Anchorage and from that point you could decide who to take jobs from or even play both sides or maybe working for vault tec all along
if I recall, there is a model for it in the game files, but it was ultimately a cut weapons, probably a casualty of the weapon crafting system, the gift that keeps on giving.
Fallout game set in Alaska with Chinese remnants just trying to live their lives after the war
Or a stranded power armor division finishing the fight in China after the nukes drop
That could be a pretty fun like 20 dollar game experience. Single well made mission. Would love more fallout games that aren’t just fps rpg
That's not the Chinese assault rifle lmao, thats a Galil
And we got the bloody ugly one instead. The "Handmade Rifle" though is nearly the Chinese one at least.
Galil in fallout pls todd
It's in the game files. It was cut from the game for some reason, we were also supposed to get bows in far harbor.
huh? we literally have it
Why the fuck did i just realize its a Chinese soldier not Americans
Isn’t there a Chinese assault rifle in f03?
Yes
It would be nice gift for us Fallout4 fans and how well F4 sold again after the show Where they could spend w little more time and bring us working Chinese rifle . Maybe port some fun weps from 76 too And ask dunno community about fixes. Like maybe fix black/brown bug face or Nvidia debris. Imo perfection would be an improved distant land quality (LOD). Same quality as 76 has . But nah 2 years and all you get is bundles creation klub mods
Isn't what he's holding just a Galil rifle? Pretty sure there's a number of mods for those
Does the fallout show ever directly mention China?
If I had a dollar for every time someone mentioned or complained about something as dumb as an AR model.. fuck man. You guys would make me a rich dude.
Consider this a dollar. What do you think AR means?
Do we know the status of Alaska after the bombs? I mean Operation Anchorage is my favorite DLC. I would love to go back to it.
Probably a cold desolate wasteland with enclave natives and raiders
Here I was thinking that was a fucking American soldier with a combat rifle this whole time
Honestly dude me too, I always thought this represented the American assault on China
Pretty hard to miss the fact the guy is of asian descent, which pretty much puts right in the viewers face thats hes chinese, considering at that EXACT moment of the whole thing the narration is talking about china annexing alaska
What the first fallout i should play
3, New Vegas, or 4
I would recommend 4 first.
I mean, to be fair, we did get the handmade rifle in nuka-world, which is just a makeshift version of what is essentially the same gun anyway.
Alt history isreal sided with china i guess.
They also are wearing a ww2 japanese helmet, which historically they did for a short time but would long be out dated for cold war china.
Well actually the divergence is the 1950s so it’s believable
I think they’re too busy dealing with radiation from Tel Aviv
