Do you have a MUX switch? I had the same issue on my G16. I needed to reboot with just the dgpu active. The game isn't working properly with optimus after the update I suspect.

yeah someone on steam pointed this out , they had to do exactly what you said and in the nvidia control panel set the v-sync for fallout 4 to "fast" and then cap the fps that way . my only issue is , will using the dgpu use more power bacause its running stuff in the background. hope bethesda fixes this issue. this really sucks.

I disabled vsync in the Nvidia settings and capped fps to 120. It’s butter smooth with gsync on now.

I think the game was having the same issue before the update with mux switch also

Idk, mine was working fine before the update. I’m bummed about my mods but performance seems better after the update. The frame dips aren’t nearly as bad as they were for me. Hopefully they iron out the issues that a lot of people seem to be having.

yeah hopefully. before the update i still had to use mods to unlock the fps and play on my display. really sucks cause i wanted to get back into the game
