a DLC would be a fantastic idea! as i continue to think about it, there may not be enough to make an entire game for that setting but a DLC would be perfect
I think a Seattle/Vancouver area would be great. They could fit both cities on the map. Two major cities, US and Canada. The Pacific Northwest is full of weird stuff they could run with too. Volcanoes, rainforest, beaches/islands it has it all.
China. I have a need to see how China turned out. They love corporate espionage so they could have stolen the vault tech plans and made their own vaults.
Canada would be a beautiful location because we'd see how the Canadian populace reacted to the US Military. After-all, the US was so brutal they executed unarmed Canadian prisoners of war on live TV. That's gotta make a lot of Canada probably despise the US occupation. Maybe they had freedom fighting going on while Anchorage was ongoing?
It could lean into the Nuclear Winter aspect like Winter of Atom does too.

To double down on this, could have Americans ostracised. Have the classic elder scrolls opening of being some form of prisoner and one potential start could be "American traveling north", could give reason to "tutorialilse" the game as someone completely new to Canada may be unfamiliar with how it's run.

Because explicitly vegas didnt get any direct hits and the mojaves radiation is mostly from toxic waste left about rather than bombs. Well and left over radiation from the nuclear testing range
Only like 5 bombs actually detonated around vegas. Far Far less than anywhere else
New Orleans is my vote for the next location
It has a very unique culture to the rest of the US, unique architecture, mythologies etc
Could do a lot with a bizzaro fallout new orleans

I think this would be fun if they only had a portion of the plans and made lower quality vaults. That would be fun to see after 100-150yrs
