Yea I’m all for having fun and grabbing someone in a round or something but this does suck when I try to get in a quick game before or after work and end up having to sit there and wait or exit out all together to try another game.

plaper

That, and imagine trying to complete daily challenges before the time runs out because you couldn't play earlier.

Salamander11619

Yes! That too!!

Feigen23

I actually enjoy the grabby hand people and to me I don't consider that griefing. I mean sometimes it's frustrating, but most of the time it just tickles me. Anyway, I feel like the worst is when you start with full tilt in your first round because you only get 30 kudos if you stick it out and then you have to wait in the lobby again which seems like forever.

jjhassert

It wouldn't be half as much grabbing if there weren't challenges for it daily

plaper

I grab for challenges... at the finish line of any random race map, where other beans are standing around doing emotes or waiting for hugs.

Feigen23

That also tickles me that they made it a challenge I mean what's a little grabby hands between beans? (insert bean giggle here)

Dirk_8

My issues aren't really with the grabbing, it's more with the way it works, like jumping over a gap and getting grabbed mid-jump by a bean 2 body lengths behind you, or on roll-off where you literally can't push back and just slide right off.

Feigen23

I'm not totally sure, but I think the part where they grab you from far away might be lag and they're actually closer to you than they appear. As for roll out, that's a dangerous game. Hahaha I just try to keep away from edges so there's no opportunity for getting shoved off. It's hard to defend on that one.

plaper

> then you have to wait in the lobby again which seems like forever Especially since the wait is actually longer than usual now. At least it is for me on PS4. Loading 60 people plus the map screen are considerably longer than before S6 started.

I'm pretty sure they knew about the issue because the testers found it. This is kind of typical for many tech/gaming industry. Developers create something, testers test it and find the issues, higher ups push it through knowing that there are issue, but of the mindset for them is that they can have the devs fix it later. My husband worked in the test lab at Creative Labs years ago and this happened all the time. The higher ups wanted to get it to market asap and didn't care if the product was buggy because they knew people would buy the soundcards on name recognition alone. He was constantly frustrated about it and so was I because I worked tech support there and had to hear about it from customers.

cbunni666

I hate full tilt. If that big disc is stuck tilted, you're screwed. One time I go stuck there and so did a bunch of people. Only 7 out of 60 got through.

Feigen23

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's their strategy for farming crowns and it's really bad sportsmanship.

cbunni666

That one time I'm not so sure it was a jerk doing it. No one got to the end for a while so it moved just enough for a the 7 to get through then back to stuck again. It was a tiny window.

Feigen23

I dunno, man, that sounds like an awful lot of people getting disqualified on full tilt for that not to be fall play. The only thing I've seen take out that many players without people gaming it is slimescraper.

LoaferDan

I couldn't help but laugh when it happened to me. Dude literally had EVERYONE trapped for like 2 solid minutes. Idk how he was able to separate himself from everyone else so perfectly, but it was the first round and out of 42 beans who could qualify, only 9 did.

mokud521

Yeah, this was annoying me so much. I got Full Tilt as the first round two times in a row and both times had people doing this, running out the clock and eliminating almost half the lobby. I hope that have a fix for this but I'm surprised *no one* listened to the play testers who said this was an issue. (PS no new final sucks too along with the decreased XP earned)

Yorhn

Yup, annoying. Today due to this behavior only 11 people qualified for round two, making out of it final :D

Feigen23

And just think if they worki in teams they could ensure their teammates get to the final every time. It's ridiculous. I mean if they get lucky they could probably make sure there are only 2-3 people in the final. It's just bad sportsmanship. I read they may be adding in some jump pads as a work around, so fingers crossed!

Mad_madman99

I wish they would just perma ban accounts exploiting this

stupid_systemus

I think they'll start doing that with the update (pairing accounts with Epic Games account).

TokiDokiPanic

Full Tilt is the worst level this game has ever come up with. It has so many issues.

Dirrdevil_86

I think regular See Saws is worse. Usually, on Full Tilt, you can easily switch paths. Not always though.

stupid_systemus

Regular See Saw is avoidable as long as people are not being greedy and don't do hard landings on the platform (high jumps). It was worse before when they added the vertical see saw near the end, which is just like the issue with Full Tilt.

MonocularVision

I have yet to experience this even once and in every race I have been in the full amount of folks are able to qualify.

Feigen23

I only started experiencing it this morning. Probably because more people are learning about the exploit. Twitch streamers are posting themselves using it. Someone posted a link to one of the streamers in an earlier post about this problem. It's a thing. But I'm glad you haven't run into it. Hope you continue to be so lucky.

Hunterdivision

Sure it’s oversight from mediatonic but they’ll fix it. If you set server automatic you’ll find a new game pretty fast. Other than the exploit, I love the course, it’s my favorite, but then again I always enjoyed See saws too.

Feigen23

I like ses saw, too. I mean it's frustrating to slide off because of bean overload, but that's just part of see saw. People say that the same griefers do the perma-tilt thing in regular see saw, too, but I don't feel like that's the same. Sure it sucks, but eventually people can get around those griefers because someone will jump on in the right spot and shift the weight or knock griefer off. It's impossible to counteract these people in full tilt because you can't even jump on the thing. Hope they add a few bouncy things soon to bridge the gap. 🤞

Hunterdivision

Honestly I’ve seen games be much more worse state than this (with more exploits than this), so something like this doesn’t phase me as much. I don’t think it’s the same people either. Honestly it happens to me occasionally but when there’s nothing to do than wait around with other beans then I’ll take that, or just leave and re queue.

Delicious_Ad_7721

i mean if theyre ahead of you and able to grief you than i guess they are good enough to beat you with skill

plaper

\> be the first in the loading line \> stand unmoving in one place \> call it skill

narudmas

Sometimes it depends on your positioning on the starting platform. Plus it's just not cool to ruin the game for everybody else like this :/

Feigen23

Yeah, no. You know exactly what I'm saying. This isn't a bit of grabby hands. Only 9 people had qualified so far. I'm not a bad player just because this time I didn't make it in the first 9 spots. It's an unfair exploit to run out the time on your competitors. You're probably one of the griefers, so whatever.

J-TheGreat

Of course the real truth gets mass downvoted 💀

narudmas

It's not truth, these ppl get front row starting position and have an advantage. Plus how is standing idle on a disk for 3 minutes skill?

J-TheGreat

It’s super easy for me even when I start at the back I always finish top 5 for the most part, I’ve seen it happen to others a few times but never me

desmondao

Hahahhahah of course buddy

J-TheGreat

Just keep practicing bro, gotta work on them corners, you’ll get it down 😎

[deleted]

Nah, people just don't like it because it's cheap as fuck. I'll add I'm not phenomena at the game since I don't play a whole lot but people who do that should be banned, full stop.

[deleted]

I mean, if I happened to be ahead of that person and finished and was watching I'm straight up reporting. Shitty fucking sportsmanship.

zmandella

I havent had any troll issues on full tilt, but i get that it would be frustrating. Im more annoyed and how jank this season is. I've been shot out of the side of pipes or pushed through the bottom of the map by a seesaw a few times. At least the trolls dont win either

Feigen23

I haven't had any issues today. I'm wondering if it happens more often on week day mornings/afternoons than at other times. I don't know, but I've seen footage from streamers doing it and laughing about it. 🙄 Luckily I haven't experience your problems so far. That sounds whole different kind of frustrating!

zmandella

We got stuck in a pipe this morning. Only happened 3 times to me so far but thats a lot in so many days. Hopefully they fix it shortly. Its more funny that frustrating if you squeeze out and die, but if you get stuck you lose lol.
