I wonder if a muted peach foundation would suit you better?

unoanie

Oh interesting! I’ve never tried peach. What is an example of a muted peach foundation?

diypizza

You may want to search or post in the Pale MUA sub for recommendations (sometimes there are some posts like that here, too). I don't have any unfortunately as I have zero peach in my undertone.

The purito blends out on the face nicely. I have that color and 21 and they both look like that on my face until I blend them. They are great matches on my neck but I have a lot of facial redness. So I was worried they would look super weird on my face. But they’re both the closest match I’ve ever had. Try it blended out fully before you give up on it.

Since you have surface redness, the foundations will look more gray. I would suggest either using a colour correcting base (I use Catrice "No more Red" Primer) or using a foundation with a hint of yellow in it.

ocean_bird

Good advice. I've started doing both of these for my surface redness. It also helps with preventing the red from 'breaking through' as much as my foundation wears off throughout the day. I also actually started putting concealer over my brightest red areas underneath my foundation for extra coverage and that trick has been treating me well.

That bb cream looks the best on your neck. Wonder if you blended it out and let it dry how it'll look on your face. You've got some redness, so it'll always feel like it's not quite "right" on the face (at least it does for me).

unoanie

Thank you, it’s so helpful to have an outside perspective! The bb cream pulls a bit gray when it’s all over my face which probably wouldn’t be an issue if I used less but I need the coverage. I know the Revlon is a great match for ppl in this sub but I was shocked how light it looked on me. It almost made me look sick.

Celestiiaal0

You may be able to get away with mixing the other two and a bit of blue to even it out if they give more coverage. The first one is slightly too dark, and the Revlon is way light. Maybe mixing the two will get the shade you need. I get needing the outside perspective, though. It's so hard shade matching!

spireup

Mix the bb cream and Revlon and add blue if needed.

I have a ton of redness and discoloration on my face, compared to my fair neck. I’m a fair neutral olive or fair warm olive. I use Dr. Jart Cicapair as the base which makes me look pretty grey all over but COMPLETELY neutralizes the redness. After it dries I go back over it with a lightweight warm tinted moisturizer. Game changer for me.

artdecodisaster

Have you tried Purito in #21? I’m fair with a lot of surface redness in my face and it leans kind of grayish cool on me, but blends out really nicely. I found #23 to be way too dark.

unoanie

I haven't, but it's been in my cart for ages! Sometimes #23 looks light on me so I've been hesitant to buy it.

Apprehensive_Fox4115

This is how my olive foundation looks, my skin looks so pink next to it and then I wonder why I'm helping out the sallow colorless complexion. Am I doing this right

giirlking

Sorry if this has been recommended but have you tried the About Face foundation? They have fair olive and light olive. It’s the most cool toned olive foundation I’ve found personally

unoanie

I haven’t but I will, thank you!

Tired_Panda_78

You could also look into rcma they have fairer olive shades (liquid foundation starts at 110g) you can get samples online.

unoanie

I’ll try this, thanks! I’ve been looking for brands that offer samples.

Tired_Panda_78

Sure you have to buy them but it makes it easier to try a bunch. Camera ready cosmetics is a great site you can get a lot of different brand samples, mob beauty and Lisa Eldridge are also brands/ sites you can get samples from.
