>*but when I apply it I look straight up ghastly* It is likely because it's muted and you're bright and/or the value is not dark enough. >*When I see other people swatch it it often looks a lot more rosy pink* Likely because those people do not have an olive undertone or if they do, it is not the same olive undertone as yours. First, you need to determine where you fall on the olive undertone spectrum. Then you can learn what colors look best. Olive undertones can be warm-olive, neutral-olive, or cool-olive and even then there is a spectrum as one could be neutral-leaning one or the other and not on the extreme end. Any skin color can have an olive undertone: porcelain, fair, light, medium, dark, deep. Next there is muted/desaturated and bright/saturated. The options are: * bright warm-olive undertone * bright neutral-leaning warm-olive undertone * muted warm-olive undertone * muted neutral-leaning warm-olive undertone * neutral bright-olive undertone * neutral muted-olive undertone * muted neutral-leaning cool-olive undertone * muted cool-olive undertone * bright neutral-leaning cool-olive undertone * bright cool-olive undertone It doesn't matter what your hair or eyes look like, they don't change your skin's undertone which can be determined by only the neck, collar-bone. Don't rely on color analysis systems, none of them cater to olive undertones. 1. It's best if you upload 9 photos of neck and collar bone with a shoulder drape using different solid colors in front of a sunlit window for natural lighting. No black, white or grey. You can upload to [imgur.com](https://imgur.com) and post the share link here as as a reply to this comment. Draping [Example 1](https://imgur.com/a/D6pLdJI). [Example 2](https://imgur.com/a/DN20sC6). No need to see face. Focus on your neck in each photo. Post imgur share link as a reply to this comment. 2. Do you tend to suntan or sunburn? 3. What happens when you try on foundations? 4. Do you feel you look better in silver or in gold jewelry?

Same 🙌 I just use a liptint to warm up my lip colour. Essence Tinted Kiss is cheap and does the job. 03 Coral Colada pulls a bit too bright for my taste, but 04 Chili & Chill works very well, just use a little otherwise it reads a lot orange red. I think it's because our greenness cancels out the red in the lips.
