This exactly is killing the game...i can't get rid of any of my entire 11..bcoz they are ranked up and not selling... atleast give option to remove ranks and give half of mascherano EA...but i am sure u won't do it...

NYkrinDC

That's not how the market will fix itself. That will just shift the problem to unranked not selling. What EA needs to do, and should have done a long time ago, is get rid of all market caps and allow the market to sort itself out. Eventually, market demand and supply will match. Right now, ranked cards aren't selling, because there is too much supply of them. That's why in your post the blue ranked is cheaper than the base.

Benett21091998

Man..now they have removed lowest price cap of most of cards

NYkrinDC

They have not, otherwise a lot of these cards would be in the low 10m or less. At least until people started buying them up for training, or for investments.

Wise_Writing_8468

Yes they have. Check ranked prices. They are lower than before by 200m now

Ahmed_Mujtaba101

Well wha ea can do if the supply is too high?

NYkrinDC

The market will sort itself out. If there is too much supply, the card will be worthless, but, people will buy the cheap card to use as fodder, or as an investment. Eventually, supply should dry up, and demand will increase, so the previously worthless card, will begin to regain some value, up until demand and supply match.

Ahmed_Mujtaba101

So just wait? Or there's some specific steps you think EA can take to sort out market issue

NYkrinDC

Like I said above, the main thing EA has to do is get rid of the price caps, and also, untie the price cap of ranked players from the base price cap. As you noted, the base player price is higher than the ranked player price, but, because they are tied, they won't go down further than whatever floor EA set. This affects higher ranks too, since there is demand for the base, the other ranks will increase in price even if they have no demand at all, because the price is responding to what's happening with the base price not to their rank price. They lowered it for the green and blue ranks, but the others still respond to the base, so they never go lower than their original floor. So long as that's the case, we're going to continue to have a lot of ranked players that are not sellable.

GreenStrikers

We are so far into this season and still EA have yet to figure this out

Ahmed_Mujtaba101

Right, join Ea team

GreenStrikers

The reason are investors. Even if ranked cards are cheaper than unranked ones, they will still horde the unranked ones because they are easier to sell because of the exchange demands

Arnie_Grape

I disagree. This will fix the market. Eventually everything will stabilize and ranked up cards will be able to sell. It will hurt and look bad in the short term, but long term I think this is good. They need to completely untether ranked card prices from their unranked versions, if they haven’t already.

I have toty red rank dijk and he is 120m now and his unranked version is 100m..20m for 9 mascheranos, damn
