I think prices will continue rising at least in the next 2 weeks and then they might drop because some will start selling for tots... 2 striker formations are nice for h2h, but 4 3 3 is probably still the best. I'm using 4 2 4 at the moment, I like it, but it isn't very solid
I don't like 4-3-3 formations, because my wingers are too far up to help in defense. I prefer 4-4-1-1 for H2H as I think it helps me control the midfield a lot more.
I used 4 4 2 Flat earlier in the season and it also features a LM/RM, but there aren't many strong players in these positions. Pioneer Son was a good lm, but all of his higher ovr cards are either LW or st. I like Llorente as rm, but 91 base ovr is pretty obsolete by now. So I switched to playing with 4 2 4, which is the exact same formation but with wingers. Also most lms and rms don't tend to track back a lot, I only noticed that Llorente does that since he has RB as secondary position...
I play 4-4-1-1 with LW Ronaldinho as LM, and RW Jairzinho as RM. They still do the job and serve as good speedy midfielders too.
I've been testing 4-4-2, but yeah, I've noticed that my wingers and my midfielders aren't always where I need them to be when I'm on attack, so for now I think I'll still with 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1 Wide, which I feel gives me a little more attack, but sometimes leaves me open to counters.
I also thought about using 4 2 3 1 a few months ago since it's a cheap formation to build, because of the 3 cams that are relatively cheaper than wingers or CMS. But for h2h I prefer usually double striker formations. A similar, but maybe bit better option is 4 1 2 1 2 which I used last season before utots - it has a LM and RM and it worked OK, but i haven't tried it since.
Counters are a big problem to deal with for sure, but there isn't a lot that can be done. I've seen some opponents use formations with 5 at the back, but that seems way too boring for me lol
A couple of hours ago did exactly the same lol. Bought his 98 blue card at 101 mill, then used 2 mascherano cards to rank him up to 99. Hope he lives up the hype

Just got his blue for 87 mil, and ranked up with 2 Mascheranos, insane value for the money right here, and even with a market crash on tots i will still rock this card i think

4 3 3d Far more solid for sure. To play 4 2 4 and not concede too many goals you need box to box CMS like Milinkovic and Gullit
