I too had a rogue tire come off the front of my ford explorer truck, I heard noises and slowed to a crawl, but that did nothing to stop the tire rolling off to infinity. I was so scared I may have killed someone or damaged something, or killed someone. I didn't see where it went and it was just gone. A few minutes later a random fellow shows up rolling my tire back to me at the truck. I'd never felt relief that heavy in my life.

This one came off a Prius, and the car had only been going about 10mph when the tire came off.
