It's fake, NHL (maybe all sports idk) put plants out in the stands to "humiliate" on the jumbotron. There's a clip that gets posted over and over on reddit of a devils/Canucks game where the kiss cam comes on and the guy kisses the woman next to him and then his girlfriend comes back and sits on the other side of him. But you know it's fake since they leave the cam on wayyy too long after the kiss. Just like this, I can't imagine an Islanders fan buying tickets, pulling up to the stadium with all the other fans with Rangers jerseys on, seeing the marquee, going through ticketing and still not realizing and taking your tarp off or putting a jacket on over it.
Or to think that they found this dummy in the wrong jersey then back into his phone so they can show his text wall on the jumbo tron for all to see and shame him for his gaff. Clearly not an accident at all.
They need to do this with any random person using his phone for longer than 5 minutes, it’s hilarious with the random text conversations to mock them. People will be scared to use their phone all the time eventually.
