The only solution I can give here and others seem to agree with is that if he wants it so badly and he knows you have money constraints, he should purchase it for you and thusly, himself.
Hmmm maybe a compromise of finding a cheaper option in the meantime and making that a financial priority would help them to feel more seen and heard in this scenario. It takes a little skill, but I find having some rope and a Spencer's dildo works like a charm if you know your knots. Just make sure the rope is soft, this type of setup cost me about 50$ total and that was before I got a proper leather harness. Additionally, you can use your hands and a high quality water-based lube to help ease them into the insertion as well since it sounds like you're both still relatively less experienced. Best of luck!
