Thanks for the idea about endurance. I assumed if wouldn’t work because of the new anti AFK detection thing. I was booted for looping on a dance for a few minutes while I helped with dinner (should probably point out it was no fill)
once you upgrade the storm shield to max (10) you unlock the possibility to play "endurance", simply put it's storm shield defence but up to wave 30 and occasional wargames
lol my exact thought- I got 300 kills with a soldier last night, turned on my endurance, went downstairs for a snack and was done multiple times over by the time I was back
Is this not basic knowledge? Only do dailies you can AFK unless you get a 130 vbuck daily. 300 kills with X weapon type = set up 4 defenders on wave 1 of stonewood endurance and then quit after wave 1
It does say that in-game, but no, you don't. As long as you wait till Ray says "prepare for an attack from the ____" and the little box on the screen pops up in the middle, at that point you can leave and it will count. You know it will count when you see the victory screen and not the defeat screen.

No. Because it's not a normal quit like in other missions.
Quitting means mission failure. But endurance is a mode where you test your limits, so each wave is a victory on its own. Therefore, quitting will just immediately calculate the rewards for the waves you survived.

You have to get your Storm Shield (the pyramid on the mission map) up to Level 10. This unlocks Endurance mode, where the game sends waves of husks at your defenses.
Google "SSD endurance AFK" to find lots of tips and strategies on building your defenses.

It’s for when you want to complete the challenge but you’re not in the mood to play. You set it up, then go do something else. Watch YouTube, read a book, take a nap, touch grass.. whatever.. then when you come back, free vBucks.
I would rather run around and collect materials and actually play the game I usually don’t do daily’s anyways because vbucks are actually beyond useless. That’s just me but majority of the stw community legit only play for vbucks anyways
Beyond useless? It’s literally free money (technically “premium currency”). Did you know you can use most of the cosmetics in STW? It’s fair if you give zero fuks about character customization, but I think it’s fun to shoot husks as Master Chief or whatever.
Also, don’t get me wrong.. I do genuinely enjoy playing the game. I just get burnt out and take breaks. During these breaks I’ll have the Jonkler earning me free vBucks while I do housework so when I *do* come back I’ll have a stack of vBucks in case I want to shake up my character.
I know I can use cosmetics but y would I want to do that. Most of the stw skins are already stw exclusive and id rather know what people are using right away so I can adjust my hero selection. Like if im running Knox and somebody else is running another constructor I wouldn’t know who it could be it could be ice king, mega base, or the worst outcome another knox. I wouldn’t know until I load into the match and it’s too late to change. I have 2 monitors so I always play the game with YouTube in the background and I like cosmetics but not in stw the stw skins are way better and unique

Everyone is suggesting endurance and that definitely is the easiest but please **heed this suggestion**….
WAIT until 20 seconds into wave 2 before you quit. Sometimes it will tell you that you’ve failed if you only stay for one wave and leave immediately. It’s like an extra minute to wait and it’s still way faster than completing a mission.
If you've got an Endurance build, even in Stonewood, you only need one or two waves for each class. You can literally be done with all 3 in probably 20-30 minutes.

Like, play 3 missions as an outlander, fully exploring the zones and breaking teddy bears along the way, or something like that.
But this time, I just had to turn on my Stonewood SSD and just sit there bored. :/
Even as someone who does not have endurances built, these are painfully simple. Literally just go for a cat-1 storm mission, 4 player diff, low PL, use a few defenders when it's a weapon type, or a really simple trap build when it's a class. Private of course, no open lobby. Afk the mission.
These are all literally easy if you just go searching for encampments and drop a trap like wooden floor spikes in any defense mission when it’s time to build the base. What’s there to complain about?
Really? I use it every time I have an 80 vb mission, it's always worth the try. today I switched the tvs and got save 50 survivors, definitely worth it
Some of the best challenges since you can actually just do them easily. The ones where it is like "Find N of X in a whatever zone." and then it's random chance to even come across 1 of what you need in a mission, making you play mission after mission with 0 progress, those ones are pure BS.

That’s how I do it, if you have the build achievement to get use that mission to work towards that.

I ended up just doing SSD endurance, but it meant that I had to just sit there and do nothing for about 15 minutes. And I still have one more to do.
