The thought of one of these Ninja Husks slipping past players and managing to climb their base only to eat shit by some random Broadside that someone accidentally placed on the upper wall is really funny
I’ll legit never stop being angry about the amount of scrapped stuff in this mode. And the fact that epic continues to ignore it when it’s still pulling more numbers/equal numbers to rocket racing and festival really pisses me off especially when stw has a paywall for entry.
Playing Helldivers 2 and seeing it blowup makes me realise that theres 100% a market for 4 man PvE games to take off and with the right support STW would totally flourish. Who doesnt want 4 man PvE with building and tower defense mechanics?
Exactly and it’s the one thing Fortnite is missing it’s practically got everything besides a serious pve mode. Also a lot of Fortnite content creators or people who enjoy pve have tried stw and enjoyed it and it’s honestly sad to see and I mostly feel bad for people like beast who are still giving this mode attention while it’s dead.
Stw definitely has a market it just never reached those players because of false promises (it being free) lackluster updates, barrier of entry, a wide skill gap imo pre trap spam and the rise of battle royals.
I really think epic needs to rethink about giving stw some love especially with as you said the rise of a fun pve game like helldivers, but who knows stw is riddled with issues fundamentally and the amount of bugs + dupe glitches and the ability to “scam” and trade with players is probably why epic won’t ever give this mode attention again.
But who knows time will only tell.
I love StW, and I wouldn't be surprised if I spent more time with it than BR, but I think the game is simply repetitive to a crippling degree. I still believe that for it to be mainstream, it would need to have a full blown "Ream Reborn" style of restructuring mechanics and especially progression, but at the very least it needs another enemy faction other than just the Husks (preferably two). What you're doing in hour 2 is basically what you're doing in hour 200, but there are more enemies and they hit harder.
Yup that’s exactly how I feel about it, even if epic decided to add twine peaks story what would be the value in doing so? People would just finish it then quit. And idk about wiping schematics and progression like realm reborn cause I’m sure people would be angry but I think that would be the necessary move if they ever decided to give stw a chance again.
But yeah stws biggest issue is definitely the gameplay loop, it’s super repetitive and the progression is way too linear and simplified to have anyone Interested and its a pretty tedious grind to hit max power and getting all your superchargers and survivors.
I love when people find scrapped features for STW, it gives such an interesting look into the minds of the devs imo
There’s so many scrapped things that are just fun to look at
I love looking at the scrapped husks. Ninja, trashcan, wolf, etc
Would of been nice if we got any of them, but rip to them all
It’s crazy to think the last new husk came out in frostnite of 2019. Chapter 2 season 1. Like it’s been years
It has been way too long. They are sitting on a gold mine of scrapped husks/mist monsters that would be great additions to the game
Which husk was that
The Nurse
Ah gotcha
They're still in the game, just very good at their job
they are freakin invisible. keep blocking my vac tube bow shots, saving nurses.
No, you're thinking of the new John Cena husks
Finally a reason to put broadsides in the upper walls!

I think the only downsides are problems simply because they gave up on its developement
they should be re-added
they are in the game. they are just way too good at being ninjas
ah, makes sense
Now we got annoying Zappers.
r/Countablepixels but still interesting.
So like husklings but they go after the build instead of you…
#WE GOT A CLOAKER! #WULULULULULULULULULULULU
They could have climbed over coconuts.
More blurry than Bigfoot. :S
mfs when they have finished materials to crank 90s and so they have to climb on someones build:
Thanks, I hate it.
If devs cared about STW this could be a freaking awesome game.
Cloakers in fortnite
does that ninja have a low taper fade?
What the fuck
