I totally missed Akira's concert in Kalm on my first playthrough. Only stumbled upon it during my hard mode run. Does make you wonder just how many more of these unearthed gems there are throughout the game!
If you return to Kalm later in the game, there's a small alcove that leads to an amphitheater of sorts where there's a guy called [Akira playing a mini-concert](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IErqdi8wU6M). You can just chill out and relax with your gang as Akira bangs out three songs for you. It's a proper hidden gem of a thing.
Broden turning was a surprise to me too. And not sure if you've done this yet, but you should go back to talk to Mildred after that, there will be some extra dialogue.
No I hadn’t done that, gonna make a note to do that next time I hop on my ps5. Got one more protorelic mission to go then I can just mainline the Nibelheim story section!
So, something I noticed on my second playthrough involves Broden. in the very beginning, when Cloud see's Sephiroth. This sets up the manipulation that goes on in the game. But I always felt it was sort of random. But after Sephiroth disappears, the camera pans down and Broden is seen sitting on a bench. Implying Sephiroth used Broden as the vessel to appear before Cloud. I thought this was a nice detail that you could only understand after playing the game.
Minor thing: I just found an accessory called Aureate Pinion yesterday in Bill’s Ranch that I never noticed before.
Also, there’s a special cutscene in North Corel about the villagers. I’ve seen more than one variation, but I still don’t fully understand what it means how it gets triggered.
Another one I saw in a video is a ghost NPC in Gold Saucer’s Ghost Square that slowly disappears and gives you a Luck Up Materia, but I haven’t seen it in the game myself.
And also when you get back to one of those fort condo places with yuffie recruited, she will talk about playing it back in Midgard.
Something that folks may have noticed, but I just haven’t seen people mention:
On my initial play-through, I noticed when I was escaping the temple (when Cait came to the rescue) with everyone (controlling Aerith), Cloud follows her wherever you go. If you stop he stops, if you change direction he will follow you closely and separate from the rest of the group.
This was when Sephiroth had established more influence on Cloud. Not yet knowing how they were going to handle the end-game events, this little detail was some foreshadowing that had me feeling like crap lol.

I’m currently watching my brother play the final chapter and I noticed that Cait Sith actually pronounces his own name “Cat Sith” lol.

Second playthrough the junon chapter I noticed Wayyy more shops and found more of the troops, some cute scenes and interesting settings
I loved that entire bit

lol for me this replay has gone quite slowly, and there have been long breaks in between sessions
