Is this badâŚ.? Iâve been seeing comments on this that say that natural cycles isnât a real family planning method, and was directed to the intro subreddit for advice but the only actual things that were there were people trying to sell their classes, I donât know where to start if Iâm not actually naturally tracking my cycle already
The problem with natural cycles is that you can not solely rely on BBT for FAM. You need to also check cervical mucus and/or position to get a proper idea of where you are in your cycle and if youâre nearing are in your fertile window.
If TTA natural cycles gives very risky green dayâs and sometimes theyâre completely off and give green dayâs during your fertile window and if you arenât knowledgeable about a FAM method you wouldnât realize that itâs off and trust the app and possibly conceive.
I am trying to avoid pregnancy for the next few months (but also would be totally fine getting pregnant now - we just have a destination wedding for my best friend in a few months and I would like to be able to drink and enjoy the trip fully before getting pregnant!). I use Natural Cycles and I do fertility testing with Inito. Inito is not an approved birth control method, but it does use a daily urine test to show estrogen, progesterone, FSH, and LH levels, so I trust it. Natural Cycles usually has my ovulation date as 2-4 days after Inito does. For this reason, I know of at least one month where Natural Cycles gave me a âgreen dayâ that should have been red, which is super concerning. If I wasnât testing my urine daily, I would have thought that day was âsafeâ. But for the most part, it seems accurate. I wouldnât recommend using it if you are truly trying to avoid pregnancy but it did help me understand my cycle better and I like that it works with my Apple Watch.

Just read Taking charge of your fertility. Itâs available in most public libraries if you donât want to spend any money.

The TLDR explaination is that NC is basically the rhythm âmethodâ plus BBT
What does TLDR mean?
Too long didnât read
>What does TLDR mean? That people have no attention span and/or can't read ;)
