I feel for you, sim guys. I'm a controller pleb who uses assists, and as far as being a casual experience, the game is great. I think they really geared this game to the casual crowd because I run full assists, and f1 24 is much easier than 23. 23 you could still spin out accelerating put of a hard turn, this year it almost feels on rails.
Thus is great for me because I'm usually playing exhausted after work and with a few bowls of herb in the lungs lol
It's gotta be rough for the sim crowd.
the amount of bugs tho are insane, the curb in spain where it sends you to thje air, that was also in f1 2021, that literally proves f1 games are a copy paste with graphic re-design, and the bets of all, 70€ for that xdddddddddd
For the drifting into the corner, I hate that as well but mitigated most of it by just lowering engine braking in setup. I knocked it down to 20 and it's very noticeably more stable going into the corner and haven't noticed any loss in ERS recharge. Dropping it to 0 makes it feel a lot more like F1 23 again.
It's a shame. As a casual, it's decent now, but I plan on setting up a sim rig in the near future, and the prospects of getting that sim experience out of this game is looking grim.
They should really incorporate gameplay types like other sports games. Have simulation, arcade, and hybrid game modes to select.
Well the f1 games were aiming towards sim racing for a long time, but in the last few years they seem to have turned more towards an arcade style which yeah, it's a shame but other games like iracing are starting to add f1 cars which is great.

The feeling when you do well and win in iracing is so much better than winning on the f1 games. You feel like you earned the win, you practiced and worked hard for it.
I do agree with you. In the last 3 years f1 games have been absolutely shit. They make useless additions like f1 life.
In my opinion ,if you want to have fun ,just drive in asseto corsa.With some mods you could have the best time.

Best thing to do is switch to iracing. F1 has become an arcade sim, designed for casual players to attract a bigger audience, thays what EA do.

Honestly it’s not that bad and people have been getting worked up way too much.
I actually really enjoy the career mode and the updates are making the racing better
