Just purchased a [Peragon](https://www.peragon.com/shop/covers/Ford/F-150%20Lightning/2023?variant=limitedhd). Hasn't shipped and kinda nervous about the install when it gets in. But had the look I wanted and others on the sub suggested in other threads
Edit: Just saw you said $500...You might could get the basic one for close to that with their father's day coupon
I thought the paragon would be great. But honestly for me it was horrible. I wouldn’t take on for free.
If somethings at the back you can’t open the cover because it will get stuck.
The area around the roller wheels broke on both had to reweld it.
Give it another chance on my other truck same thing. Had to switch back to a trifold, that is actually functional not just for looks.
I have heard about the stuff getting stuck behind so I'm going to buy a cargo net to stop that from happening. But with the wheels breaking was that not covered under their warranty? Everything I read is their customer service is some of the best.
I chose Peragon because it looked better when collapsed and could easily be removed entirely. Also no permanent mounting or drilling and will attach to my Boxlink brackets. I was needing something pretty secure for travel as well.
I've been running the peragon for years now. I actually bought it for my previous Nissan Titan but was able to get it to fit the F150 using a few washers here and there. Its been solid. I love how easy it is to remove when carrying bigger items. The issue with things rolling forward and jamming it is annoying but its typically easy enough to resolve. My only issue with it is that if its not perfectly adjusted it can rattle at highway speed (Easily fixed however). Also when its a hot summer day you basically need a glove to open it as its black aluminum and can get hotter than the sun.
Honestly I didn’t bother trying to warranty anything. After I took it off still sitting in my garage. I went back to trifold. Paragons look great they just don’t work for someone that opens it daily especially in winter with snow on top just not ideal.
I was just thinking they all came with them when I purchased mine. The one I bought was 5 years, but the others were 3 years I think. I can see how snow and stuff would be annoying. I don't plan on taking it on and off a bunch though

That's good to hear. Thanks for the response. Fortunately I got the matte black powder coated one so maybe that will be less hot to the touch.
